Like what is your reasoning? John never had much tolerance for evil, saw Caliborn as the twisted hand of fate that was perverting and destroying his friends and family, and realized this was the egg that Lord English, the source of all of his woes and misery, would emerge from. Unlike Dave, John has enough object fucking permanence to remember that they have every reason in the world to hate Lord English.

All of this aside, what about their personalities click? Caliborn's like Karkat without the heart, all anger and ambition and greed, and the only reason John suffered Karkat before everyone forgot their personalities WAS that he realized this angry little shitheel had a heart. Caliborn likes dominate males because he wants to emulate them, because he lived under the thumb of his sister. His whole hatred for her comes not just from a biological urge but because she's the smarter, nicer, "better" model and its implied that her not dominating their body is only a courtesy to him. This ties into the type of heroine Calliope's parodying as much as the type of person Calliborn is.

Tldr; Dude sees the two most selfish, violent, and, admittedly, successful men in Homestuck as role models. This would say something if Hussie's focus on predetermination didn't contrast the idea that only assholes get anything done, which muddles both messages considerably.
