I can't imagine things going well for Catra for long. That's just not how the show is written. She might be able to keep him happy and buying the whole "Entraptra betrayed you" bit for a little while, but there's no fucking way she's going to KEEP him happy long, and when he finally snaps she's the one right in the line of fire.

Catra is a disaster. Almost certainly a deliberate decision by the writers to acknowledge that many people who end up abused as kids make terrible self-destructive choices as they rage at the world.

That it went that far, basically. If they couldn't think of a better way she could have tricked him and still be likely to even start with his team next season, that's on them. They could have made the writing over the episode more about Hordak just going on last-known info, anyway.

The Voltron staff did an interview not long ago where they "revealed" the non-surprise that Netflix had green-lit the entire Voltron series on day one, but had asked that people not say the words "the whole thing has been greenlit" so there would be tension as people wondered whether or not it would get more seasons.

But Voltron staff kept talking about having years of plans and never showed concern about renewal. Similar to how She-Ra staff never show concerns about renewal, and keep talking about having 52 episodes worth of plans. An oddly specific and consistent number. Almost like they have the exact same deal the Voltron crew got, and just like the Voltron crew they were asked to avoid saying the words "we're not getting canceled, they greenlit the whole thing" so Netflix can milk a suspense cycle.

While at the moment he's not thinking clearly, up until now, Hordak seems more willing to blame commanders for their troops' fuck ups than the clumsy kid who actually did fuck up.

He told Shadow Weaver straight up it was *her* fault Catra's performance was lackluster and until Catra tricked him, he blamed her for her troops' mistakes and not delivering what he wanted.

It's probably something he got from being part of the larger Horde. Dude knows that some shithead can armchair general /manage their troops poorly and as a result battles are lost. So if a squad messes up he can and will only blame the commander because why the fuck didn't they keep their troops in line? Kyle's screw ups are the screwups of his boss.

But at the same time, he's clearly been rewarding individual merit to people who carry their weight and then some. Look at Entrapta; until Catra fucked everything up she consistently went above and beyond the job...and she was a fucking prisoner of war. Kyle is basically a janitor, though, but that's likely because whoever his boss of the week is knows enough to keep him on mop duty or whatever unless they have no other choice. As long as Kyle doesn't press the Fright Zone Explodes button, he's so beneath Hordak's attention.

Barely. None of the Fright Zone is ADA compliant. The guard rails are flimsy and break easily, when they bother to install them in the first place. If Hordak ever left his lab and took a stumble on an elevated walkway he'd probably fall to his death. It's a step up from Star Wars, but it's more of a cultural support out of necessity/need for soldiers than a conscious design choice.

The show mentions at least two (from the original show) we still haven't seen (Sweet bee would likely be insect themed and... *sigh* Peekablue is a thing) and that Party they all went to had dozens of attendees. The Horde just sort of showed up in Scorpia's family's backyard and before that her family was specifically the only one mentioned as ostracized.
