Would Mothra be allowed to join The Justice League if she was magically transported to the DC universe?

Aren't they a villain?

No Mothra has consistently been portrayed as humanity's protector and Queen of the Monsters. She beat Godzilla twice, who is like chaotic neutral in most cases. Mothra is basically like Kaiju Jesus in the sense that she has a habit of dying to save the Earth and is reborn through another egg

Can she even talk?

Kind of? She’s worshipped as a goddess on some island and twin fairies interpret what she says

S-save...Mothra!

Probably if they can communicate, at least an ally

she/leo have killed ghidorah several times too

Hey if they can let a chimpanzee who solves mysteries on The Justice League, they can allow the giant moth monster. The image alone of Wonder Woman, Flash, and Batman riding Mothra is hilarious to me

So, Godzilla is the bad guy?

She has twin priestesses who interpret her will for her, which is usually enough.

Godzilla nowadays is mostly portrayed as a good guy. At least here in the West.

I wouldn't say Godzilla is good or evil just a "force of nature"

So is no one gonna mention that Mr. Mind would try to fuck her?

But when it comes to being voted on for membership in the JL what qualities would Godzilla and Mothra be evaluated on respectively.

How would pic related react?

I would totally read a story where Mister Mind tries to romance Mothra, and fails

Godzilla is a wildcard with questionable allegiance. It’s mostly a leaser of two evils where Godzilla kills another monster that poses more of a threat to Earth. You could argue that Godzilla is like an always active Savage Hulk. Mothra however is a straight up hero and defender of humanity

>More like Moth-RAWR!

>her son leo threatens to go back in time and wipe him from existence

So what explains the Godzilla vs Mothra fight? If Mothra doesn’t pose a great to Earth, and Godzilla doesn’t just go around causing terror for no reason.

Actually yeah, Godzilla can throw a fit now and then. Like others said, he’s a natural disaster

Godzilla may not be evil but he's still kinda of an asshole.
Hell, in Ghidorah's first appearance it took Mothra taking on Ghidorah solo and getting the shit beaten out of her for Godzilla and Rodan to stop their dickwaving and actually team up.

Isn't Godzilla's allegiance and alignment contingent on whatever period the Big G is hailing from?

>Doesn't have the same ludicrous trademark issue that Toho has with Godzilla, making new installments and adaptations way more incentive
>Literally has the best kaiju films ever made under his belt
>Powers lend themselves perfectly to over-the-top action sequences
>Nothing new from the franchise in over 15 years
Being Gamera is suffering

Mothra exists to keep Godzilla in line

Would love a Wonder Woman/Mothra crossover comic

You know how wonder woman just shows up in Batman vs Superman? Gamera is going to do that in Godzilla vs King Kong

Show a Godzilla became a good guy after a time, as did Heisei IIRC. And Monsterverse is the most heroic he has been yet. He's almost quite literally an actual superhero there.

The only definitively evil or at least amoral Goji's are the original, Shin, the comics, and Earth.

>Diana and Mothra team up
>Mothra sacrifices herself to save Themyscira
>The Amazons recognize the creature that of a kind goddess and will always remember her
>Egg appears on island
>Mothra is reborn
>Mothra flies away in a celebration after another transformation
>Badass pages of Wonder Woman riding Mothra into battle
Want

>names her flying kangaroo Kanga in Mothra's honor

And now you know the real story!

It should be Godzilla

It kind of sounds like Godzilla would be like Punisher in this example, and Mothra would be like Black Widow.
