Well you clearly didn't comprehend my comment judging by how you are responding to it so feel free to try reading this comment properly. "Quiet" and "loud" looking sections of a visual representation of a waveform have nothing to do with the dynamic range of the peak levels but the difference in RMS between the various sections of the song. If the entire song is at the exact same RMS level it has a flat level of energy, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but can indicate bad songwriting in certain cases. As it stands today (not on some glitch a few years ago or whatever) the soundcloud waveform does a very good job of indicating the variety of RMS levels in a track so if you think it is bugged then you clearly don't really know what I am talking about at all.
Take a look at picrel for example. If you are telling my that you can't visually identify the sections of the song, even without my labels, then you must be joking or just not understand song structure. I am NOT saying that your waveform MUST look like this or that you MUST follow this conventional song structure, but having SOME kind of structure to most of your music is a good thing that helps listeners understand the art you are trying to share with them. When you can't visually see this structure represented in the soundcloud waveform, it psychologically impacts the listener subconsciously. They know that the music that they like doesn't look like this so they may close their mind to the possibility of it being good. Also, it may actually indicate a lack of quality vis a vis you are not mixing your different sections of your music to the appropriate (different) RMS levels.
cont;
I gotta say that your branding isn't doing you any favors. People can tell visually whether or not they might like your music before they listen to more than even 15 seconds. Just looking at it, your album cover is a complete mess of random colors that have no harmony or even contrast. There is pink, blue, green, orange, red and gray. That's not a color scheme that's a color mess. Also, your profile pic is just some shitty blown out picture of a literal who. Your banner looks like it wasn't even made by you. And then we get to the music. There is no visual structure. Look at the waveform, there are no quiet or loud parts of the song which indicates a lack of structure, tension, drama, progression, all the shit that makes a song a song and not a random collection of sounds. Just looking at the music I can tell that I am not going to like what I hear. So when I listen to it, and I must admit, it doesn't sound as bad as it looks when you let it play for 3-5 seconds, but it doesn't completely wow me, I am just going to decide like any other rational person to not listen to any more. Time is really valuable and you have to respect that. Other people should be able to tell immediately that your song is going to be good by just looking at it so that they are prepared to invest the time needed to properly enjoy it. Once they start to listen you just have to confirm their (hopefully positive) preconceived notions about it.
damn straight. get your fuggin shill posts up to muh standards or I'm just not going to bother to listen
gotta admit anons this cover artwork is up to my standards ngl.

You can hear you're having a lot of fun making music! I would personally change the kickdrum in this song. Also liked your 'Magellan's Interplanetary Spacetrap' and the titles of all your songs :D.
Love your music!
Liked your songs Drift and Bang more :). The latter must be nice to play at clubs (if you also play live).
Pretty insane :D. A bit too hectic for me, liked you 'tyou' song a lot though!
Very nice, never seen an album with songs of that length before. Gonna listen to it when I'm the mood :).
O shit this is fire
I am an amateur musician though. I have no pretentions of being professional. Point me towards a single professional musician in this thread please. I am waiting.
Everybody started sperging out because they don't understand the importance of visual presentation and song structure. The rest of the thread has been a hilarious garbage fire and I have enjoyed thoroughly keeping the flames lit. It sounds to me like you need to work on your thread appreciation skills because this thread is gold. You replied all butthurt. Should you be making music now instead? Maybe, but this shit is pretty funny so I don't blame you for being here instead.

Your album covers are OK at best but you definitely need to work on those shitty waveforms.
Just released a few tracks and would love some feedback. Mostly shooting for some catchy experimental indie but also trying to get weird and noisy with it (especially in the latter two tracks below).

You've definitely hit something with the vibe of the first one. Love how the snare in both L and R leaves room for vocals in the center.
love the long intro—I'm always afraid of taking too long to get to the punch, so I appreciate a good long intro that keeps you captivated until the vox are in. I like the effects on the vocals in here but it sounds like you've got a nice voice man, don't be afraid to strip some of those fx away for a more intimate sound
Is this clockwork margarets new profile?
hmmm why else you would you bait with bad artwork and show waveform?

Really love 'Pestilence'! It does remind me of Sufjan Stevens (and also MGMT's Siberian Break for some reason) but it's definitely your own style.

Second single, would love any feedback
Like watching Begotten for the first time. I mean that in a good way
dig these
i like the interspersion of actual riffs and noise, the end result is surprisingly melodic
great energy, love the bassline in the chorus but it's not that audible otherwise. Nice riffs
like the comfy lo fi production and the "stuttering" synths towards the end
very demented. Nice
the punky drums with the gothic synths are an interesting sound. The vocals in the chorus didn't work for me personally but I liked the bridge
kickass logo. Interesting mix of vocal styles. Catchy refrain. Could have used greater variation in riffs in the metal-leaning parts
I think the lo fi production hampers it a bit. I liked the wordless vocals towards the end, they inject some much needed variation.
Thanks for the feedback! There's a Frank Ocean cover on there, as well as a few uncleared samples (though they're not very prominent), so I just didn't want to deal with any issues related to that. Really appreciate that you were considering paying, though!! For the next one I may avoid covers/samples
You're definitely right that that instrumental bridge is real nice! Love the super distorted guitar too--that sound needs to come back. Reclaim it from the 80s. Agree with your comment on SC that changing the lyrics to the chorus to take up more space would be great!
this is me: pretty cute but it feels almost too restrained/repetitive to the point where the end, where everything but the guitars fade out and the guitars have a much rawer sound to them, is the most interesting part to me.

What level of autism are you operating on?
Also, imagine not only choosing to type something as pretentious as "vis a vis" but then using it incorrectly.
Hopefully you're just trolling, if not, you need to spend some time outside of your own brain - because it's an absolute mess in there... and clearly you've got nobody to tell you when you're having deranged thoughts, so you just get more and more confident in your own retarded theories and ideas.
This isn't an attack, take it on board.
