If Nickelodeon and Cartoon Networks' two biggest shows switched networks how would they have turned out?
Would they have fit in?

Good for SpongeBob, bad for Ed, Edd n Eddy
SpongeBob would've probably ended with Hillenburg's intended 3 seasons and a movie. Maybe a revival afterwards, kinda like Dexter.
EEnE would get cancelled after 2 seasons and become a cult classic like how Zim became one.
Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls, and even KND were bigger than Ed Edd n' Eddy. EEnE were nowhere near on the level of Spongebob. Spongebob carried the network.
Nick didn't cancel their shows reguarly after 2 seasons until 2005,
Ed, Edd & Eddy would have surfered even back in 2000
I was gonna say, I thought Powerpuff Girls was bigger than EEnE. It did great in merchandise sales.
Spongebob would've been cancelled in 2009, and promptly forgotten by everyone but huge cartoon nerds, also it wouldn't have gotten a movie
EEnE would've at best a Rugrats tier hit, with movies and the like, milked and probably canned by now
This I agree.
Can EEnE really be considered CN's biggest show? PPG was waaaaaaay more pop culture famous. Later shows like Adventure Time and Regular Show had far longer runs.
EEnE is merely a sacred cow on Yea Forums for some reason despite being average and aggressively boring.
This. Didn't Nick demand complete creative control when Antonucci sent his pitch in?
Network wise they were. Spongebob was the face of Nickelodeon. Ed Eddn Eddy was CNs face. If you look at the popularity and viewership, EEnE was huge. PPG dropped after their film.
>Ed Edd n Eddy was CNs face
Fuck no, PPG was featured in pop culture and had a shit ton of merchandise
>Ed, Edd n Eddy attracted an audience of 31 million households, and was broadcast in 120 countries, and was popular among both children and adults.[According to Cartoon Network executive Linda Simensky, the first season did "remarkably well" in ratings following its premiere, becoming one of the top-rated series on the network.
>It was Cartoon Network's most popular show among boys ages 2–11. In 2005, it was reported that Ed, Edd n Eddy was the number one rated show on Cartoon Network and was known to 79% of children aged 6–11.
>The series ran for nearly 11 years, making it the longest-running Cartoon Network original series
>and was known to 79% of children aged 6–11
Damn, that's fucking based.
Why didn't it have a Macy's Thanksgiving balloon if it was so popular? Seems like Antonucci got scammed
Mario never had a Thanksgiving balloon either, yet I would never call him less than Sonic.
Nintendo would never sell out like that, Sega is a slut when it comes to money
Like I didn't know that. I think it won't last that long, due to Nick mismanaging it. If they let Antonucci do his thing, then it could be as great as SpongeBob.
Hell, when the first episodes premiered and a critic called it shit, fans called his bosses to make him retract his claims.
You stupid cunt.
>NOOOOOOOOOOO STOP YOU CANT SAY THAT ABOUT Yea Forums's SACRED SHOW
Kill yourself Wojakshitter
>I posted a meme face, that means my opinion is right and I get to post this thread on /r/Yea Forums for karma
>79% of kids 6-11 knew about it
But no, definitely less popular than Adventure Time.
Adventure Time is the most influential cartoon this decade and helped Cartoon Network grow to what they are today. The Eds did shit for cartoon animation and the network compared to AT
If we're going by a single show then yes that would be it. But reminder that Ben 10 is one of the most profitable franchises in the entertainment industry... somehow.
>hwe Yea Forumsmrades are above woahjack and peepee le grinch memes xd tophs feet LEJUN OF DOOM!!!
>79% of kids 6-11 watching pre-basic cable packaged Cartoon Network (so like 100 kids total lol)
Not that I'm some delusional ATfag like that thinks that show was anything but a flash in the pan that aired during a rut in the animation era, but EEnE was in a way the same thing, Dexter's Lab was dying, Johnny Bravo's original staff had bailed, Cow and Chicken was shit, Courage was better but bored audiences, and the only real competition it had on the channel until the mid 2000s was PPG which utterly eclipsed it like PnF did AT.
>Cow and Chicken was shit
Spoken like a true zoomerfaggot
Spongebob would have ended with the movie.
Ed boys would still be on TV.
>2019 EEnE.
What would it be like lads?
They would add smartphones, internet memes and pop culture references
Same shit happened with Fairly Oddparents season 9-10
>Cow and Chicken is shit
Holy fuck, what a god-awful taste you must have...
