No, because Sony has proven that they can't be trusted to deliver on a good live action Spidey. You say Spidey is free from Disney? I say he was cut off from the company that can help him achieve his greatest cinematic potential. Is Disney being greedy shits with him? Yes. But I don't care about the corporate side of that shit. All I care about is the entertainment and Sony hasn't delivered on entertaining me with Spidey in approximately 15 years. Call me a mouse shill all you want, but they have used him in as many live action films as Sony and they've consistently delivered on doing the character right and in a highly entertaining way. which is what's important the most at the end of the day. Re Zally, expecting Sony to make good Spider-Man movies is like expecting Fox to make good FF movies; it’s not gonna happen. Sony doesn’t make these movies out of giving a shit about the character, it’s just all about the fact that he’s a money maker and that they have to or the rights revert back to Marvel. Whether it’s actually a good movie comes second.
And thing is, when you only have Spider-Man’s world to use, you gotta realize at some point, it’s pretty damn small and you’re lacking in a lot of potential and interaction with his relationships within the superhero community. Just compare the mourning in Into the Spider-Verse to Ultimate Fallout at his death. Sure he was greatly mourned in both but you can really see how much he means within the superhero community as well as New York as a whole. You’ll never get that with Sony
