Doomsday Clock

Is this series actually dead? I remember when there used to be articles about the delay of the next issue giving asspulled excuses and now it's like they've given up trying.
I don't think I've ever had my hype destroyed as much as the bumblefuck that this series is, bad enough the plot was going nowhere but I legitimately forget what happens in the previous issue because of the release rate. Now I just want it to finish so it can be buried along the other travesties of DC

DC is dead. Bury it.

DC = Don't Care
WB = Why Bother

Red pill and blue pill me doomsday clock guys

Nothing Happens: The Series

11 actually does come out next week

Doomsday Clock is a beautiful disaster between two men; Geoff Johns and Dan Didio. Johns is currently involved in studio obligations with DC movies/tv, and apparently didn't prewrite the damn thing. On the other end you have Dan Didio, who is kind of a petty dick who hates the changes Johns did in early Rebirth and partly fans for not responding to New 52 like he wanted. Between the JSA and the LoSH, you get the feeling there's some behind the scenes fuckery at work between these too. Even fucking Shazam got delayed indefinitely

11 is printed and ready to ship for next week
12 should be solicited for December

>12 should be solicited for December

Let's hope so. It'd be an absolute joke if Doomsday Clock doesn't even finish this DECADE.

fans didn't like Johns terrible Justice League, the new 52 failing is his fault

Jim Lee and Bob Harras were the ones that came up with the New 52 in the first place.

Decades technically go from 20*1-20*0, not 20*0-20*9

A decade is any period of ten years you pedant

You literally have no dick.

He's not wrong

he's not wrong, but he is one of those assholes who showed up to a New Year's Eve 2000 party and said "it's not actually the millennium, hurr hurrr"

>DC wanted Fabok to draw half the issues so Frank wouldn't have to do all 12
>Frank wanted to do all 12
>the end result is it being so delayed that DC decided to use Heroes in Crisis, Metal, and Year of the Villain as the beginning of their nexet couple years of stories
Frank ruined DC lmao

it keeps getting delays so that issue 12 coincides with the actual end of days

This is still the first year of the cycle so it's gonna be 2-3 more years of liking marvel and hating DC

This isn't on Frank at all, it's 100% Johns

Johns is almost certainly the problem child, looking at the delays on Shazam

Haven't been following it, but what if DC decided to do something with Captain Marvel's villains because of that Year of the Villain shit and he had to change the last few issues for that?

Looks like Shazam's been all but cancelled now. Not sure if it's totally on Johns but I seriously wouldn't be surprised if there was some Didio bullshit behind this too, especially with that whole infected Bill thing.

Doomsday Clock will be the 1963 of our generation. Truly Geoff Johns has become Alan Moore.

and it wasn't. its the fool's prerogative to state that the emperor has no clothes.
and its not the fool's fault when a whole culture can't understand its own calendar.

I doubt it. Supergirl doesn't seem to be handled in the same way.

I do think there is some Johns vs DC editorial stuff happening in the background that's leading to Johns just dropping/losing interest in all this, but I don't think the actual stories have anything to do with that.

New 52 was Dan and Jim’s baby. Johns’s Justice League was shit, but the rest is on them

No one shot about them, so it doesn't seem to be the case, and with the issues delayed they'll be coming out WAY after Year of the Villain tie-ins.

>every issue best selling issue the month it comes out
>1-2 threads per issue when it does come out
>random threads about certain things from an issue
>random shitpost threads about the issue
>almost daily thread about the comic being dead
Anons trying really hard to pretend this comic is a lost cause but whenever it does get a new issue everyone's paying attention. And between those issues people are still talking about it. Delays be damned.

No one denies that it’s selling. We’re commenting on the fucked pacing, and the behind the scenes fuckery that has likely given us shit like Heroes In Crisis

In that case, let me answer the OP directly.
>Is this series actually dead?
No.

Nah other editors put their hand in the cookie jar too.

Didio, johns, and Robinson were working towards a JL/Earth 2 crossover a la JLA/JSA meetups, but that one editor pissed Robinson off so bad he took his notes and left. I think the editor wanted an Earth 2 Batman book but Robinson wanted Batman as a b-tier hero on that earth.

Source on this? Who made this arbitrary and silly call?

You're telling me 1930 isn't in the 30s?Are you mad or just stupid?

Let's be honest, even if they don't finish it nothing of value will be lost.

>should be solicited for December
wow, Are they trying to break a record or something?
