Chromastone can absorb any type of energy into its body and convert it into multicolored energy beams. He can also fly, somehow.
Feedback more or less does the same through the plugs on its body, except he converts it into electricity.
Their powers are basically identical, but Chromastone was rarely used while Feedback had a whole story arc devoted to him, so he has much greater feats of strength and power and makes Chromastone look useless.
The ONLY advantage Chromastone has is that he absorbs energy through his whole body, so he's the more practical choice when dealing with things like force fields and such.

Feedback power was about absorbing electricity and energy.
Energy redirection was just a secondary power for Chromastone since his main power was being made out of almost unbreackable rock like diamondhead, Feedback's whole deal was about energy so it makes sense he is better at it.
Also he was designed by Tom Perkins, the same artist who designed the original 10 aliens, he was literally made to appeal to the OG fans.

OV made him more mothlike which is good in my book, most of the aliens in AF and UA just look like humans in disguises, making them more monster like was a big improvement IMO.

He was the only cool new villain in Omniverse. Rest of his new aliens weren't nearly as good as the originals and the Ultimate form.
