Is Rango the only computer-animated movie that doesn't have that soulless factory-made feel?

I love that movie. It's so incredible full of little details. I've seen it several times but each time I spot something new.
I almost said Corpse Bride, but double-checked and that's stop-motion(me small brain). So yeah guess it is.
Idk user, that movie is Jewish as fuck.
It didn't do so well at the box office, so there aren't likely to be any more any time soon.
Emily is an underrated qt
That's hands-down the most generic, soulless "Tim Burton brand name" movie of his career.
On a Burton-related note since he produced it, 9 (the one about the little cloth robot doll) would be a better choice. It has a lot of flaws and follows pretty generic story beats, but at least it has a distinct design style and avoids the super-smooth cute Pixar look.
Even today it still looks amazing.
I was disappointed in that.
Why is Rango so underrated? Uncanny valley?
CGI can be distinctive without looking like a pixar/disney knockoff.
I submit to you, Flushed Away.
Frozen is probably the only good animated film to come out in the past 10 years. Rango is ILM trash. Made it as a tech demo.
Running behind on your quota of (You)s I take it?
There aren't any princesses or cute singing sidekicks to sell merchandise of.

I want to strangle you so badly right now
i'm not saying this is good or bad, but whenever i watch it, to me it always feels like "a bunch of good cgi artist who have never made a cartoon were tasked to make a cartoon"
People who cute everything up should be shot
Drawing ugly is harder than you'd think. Disgust is in the details.
Isn't the sequel coming out next year?
Also reminder this and El Tigre share a universe, and Sartana of the Dead is La Muerte and Xibalba's daughter. Why she somehow aged to be an old lady skeleton I don't know, maybe they shapeshifted into humans for a lifetime.
Forgetting something?
Not cute enough and no songs
that's ok, not everything needs a sequel.
Not Disney and deliberately ugly character design
Yes, honestly. It's an exceedingly uninteresting movie.
Yeah but 9 is nowhere near as good as Rango.
Rango is overrated, boring and pretentious,it won the joke AA only because of Deep's presence in the voice cast.
it is none of those things, it won the Oscar because Disney released Winnie the Pooh and fucking Cars 2 that year
It doesn't have to be a sequel, but it would be cool to see more movies from the same creative team.
Wait, did motion capture play a role in the animation on Rango?
no, the animators used the live action as a reference, and the director had the VAs act out the scenes while recording dialogue to make it sound more natural
Recently? Sure.
But Pixar had a pretty solid run between Toy Story in 1995 and Wall-E in 2008
get out of here, antisemite trumptard
Rango is literally Pirates of the Caribbean: CG Anthros in the Desert. And it jumped the shark with the tasteless, obnoxious chase scene.
Fucking what?
I don't see the similarities beyond the director and some of the actors
I remember that movie getting really bleak, didn't most of the puppets die at the end?
