Just say the eltingville club pilot...

Just say the eltingville club pilot, and it makes me sad that this wasnt produced and that cartoons no longer seem to have rapid fire jokes like this had. I couldnt stop laughing at some parts.

Writing overall became shit. When OKKO is the best comedic kids cartoon on the air, your medium is in trouble.

Speaking of Evan Dorkin
He actually had a pitch for an adaptation for a comic called Skeleton Key for Nickelodeon
Is the comic any good?

>cartoons no longer seem to have rapid fire jokes like this had
They didn't even have them then, because the show didn't get greenlite. You're not just nostalgic for a bygone time, you're nostalgic for a timeline that never happened.

Yeah, we'd probably all be happier if the show was picked up.

>nostalgic for a timeline that never happened
me to a fucking t

Youre right, though i liked amphbia i have to say that was one of the only cartoons in the past two years i could stand, i fucking hate everything on CN now and only watch SU just for something to do, i literally watch nothing else on CN now that ok ko is done. I watch the loud house when an episode looks interesting, but besides that i think big city greens is okay but not that great. Netflix has absolutely nothing besides hilda that interests me, and i cant think of any other streaming only cartoons that i like.

There was a lot of interesting pilots that never got picked up as shows. Why don't they pick up any of that stuff now? It's not like they're overflowing with ideas. Instead we get weak reboots and calarts crap.

>Why don't they pick up any of that stuff now?
I honestly don't know. Even if you have to get new people on it, there are ideas that just didn't take off at the time that could probably work a lot better now. I mean, fuck, if people didn't know what assholes most nerds were when Eltingville Club was pitched, I'm sure a lot more people know now!

Where does Mao Mao stand?

Dunno, was recommended it but didnt really like it either. Its not safe in the sense of craig of the creek or summer camp island are, but i didnt find it that funny either. Dont like alot of the designs either though i do like mao maos design and his blue friends design.

Pinky Malinky was a Cartoon Network pilot in 2009 and aired in 2019 on Netflix by Nick

Did you watch Not Impressed and Outfoxed, probably the best this series has to offer so far?

Not yet but ill give it a shot

tell that to TTG
it's written alright, tells jokes, and was popular enough to get a box-office movie
last time we got that was PPG, iirc

Tell me how it goes~!

TTG is garbage and only got that movie because the previous CN exec was hellbent on pushing it

seethe all you want
TTG got 5 seasons, while OK KO barely managed 1 full season and 2 half seasons
clearly kids flock to it and like it

Nope, they just spammed it to hell and tried to force people to like it, they desperately wanted it to be their own spongebob all the while shafting good shows like ok ko for it.

>all the while shafting good shows like ok ko for it
whatever helps you sleep at night
it's not like the ratings are readily available

>they just spammed it to hell and tried to force people to like it
People who know how to use computers don't actually think things this stupid, do they? Cause this feels like "forgets how to breath" levels of thought.

Its literally all they play, ok ko got mishandled with bad slots while they spammed TTG because the execs wanted to push it more. TTG isnt actually popular at all, its just what they want you to like since its so dirt cheap to make.

OK KO is even less popular than TTG, so if TTG isn't popular at all, what does that make OK KO?

Ok ko never got a chance to be popular because CN never aired it properly

make all the excuses you want, it's never going to bring that piece of shit back

>it's never going to bring that piece of shit back
Ah, and there it all comes out, you bias faggot

excuse me for having standards
but then again, what should i expect from someone who likes ok ko

I forgot what this thread was even about because you two faggots are arguing over OK KO of all fucking things. Bitch about cancelled shit elsewhere, this thread is for stillborns only!

>excuse me for having standards
Not if you like shit like TTG

never said i liked it
but even my cynical ass will admit it's better than that crappy weeb-reference shit

>never said i liked it
And yet you defend it to death

I believe Amphibia became well appealing because the female protagonist with the slice of life feel before switching to the lore with Sasha and hopefully for Marcy down the line and that made everyone moderately interested into, afaic with Big City Greens, the show is alright despite being the weakest when compared to Harvey Beaks and Clarence et al, but at the same time, The only problem that I have with the show is due to the setting in the large city where you thought that they would’ve been more than it’s supposed amount characters and locations in order to obtain its original feel, but all we get is episodes focusing too much on the Greens, especially Cricket for real, and a few supporting or recurring characters that were introduced into the show, as they not often used moderately plus, whenever there’s a new character that is voiced by a celebrity guest, as they often used as a one-shot character that lasts only in one episode before disappearing entirely and the background characters are too generic and they lack personality to make em look rather interesting but rather generically the same as others, is what it is disappointing to others as their reasons for being nearly forgettable as possible.

I liked amphibias episodic nature but it was actually funny to me, something that none of CNs newer shows were to me.

True, it kinda hard to predict what vision that CN needed, since OK KO, is ending and SU and possibly WBB are next to leave, there aren’t much shows that harbors anything appealing.

SU is getting a spin off, but id be so glad if WBB is ending, i always fucking hated that show and i blame that for starting CNs addiction to bland SOL shows.

CN really needs to stop trying to be the next nick jr and get edgier content like adventure time when it first came out was. We need more TV-PG comedies from them again.

There's A reason for the show's intended blandness from what i've heard from the previous thread from what user had explained that with season 2 coming up soon as the Houghtons better start sprucing up something new to the season by doing some expansion works on location hence characters from the ones who were there before and the new ones as well, as they better start fixing up the damages that the previous season failed to attract by trying to make it so that everyone would not look at it as forgettable or for it's over reliance on one and done and stock BG characters, if the fans of the shows don't wanna see it being considered as a forgettable, then they need to tell the co-creators to get everyone to stop blaming on the company when the company is going to behave like any company would, when looking down upon shows with a tiny amount of fanfbase, but rather the co-creators need to crack the whip at their own people working on the show for failing to give the show that bad name and it's reputation.

>but id be so glad if WBB is ending
It's huge in Asia, more so than any of CNs other shows, so not likely.

>It's huge in Asia
Literally why? Its so painfully dull and so vapid that you could literally call it a show about nothing but unlike seinfeld it isnt funny either, its just mind rotting numbness. And also if its so popular their then why cant they make it a regional thing only and spare us the burden of its existence?

>>SU is getting a spin off
Only thing that i heard was only the movie and it's sixth season, i heard nothing about it having a spin-off.

>>CN really needs to stop trying to be the next nick jr and get edgier content like adventure time when it first came out was. We need more TV-PG comedies from them again.
I agree, but sadly, Infinity Train and DC SuperGirls is the only PG shows that you'll get in this type of lifestyle of CN, other than that, as long as Miller and Vinshu is still around doing their usual bullshit, CN may or will never see a another PG comedy show ever.

>Only thing that i heard was only the movie and it's sixth season, i heard nothing about it having a spin-off.
The runor is ow that steven universe has ended but a sequel show will continue the show in a sense and hat is what season 6 is going to be, the first season of this new show
>I agree, but sadly, Infinity Train and DC SuperGirls is the only PG shows that you'll get in this type of lifestyle of CN, other than that, as long as Miller and Vinshu is still around doing their usual bullshit, CN may or will never see a another PG comedy show ever.
But i thought miller left, whos running CN now anyways?

rumors a rumor, unless there's a official source that may explain whether the spin-off is coming to fruition, but other than that, it's more likely to be debunked.

but as Miller, i think she promoted from CN president to the president or runner of Warnermedia family division, which that includes CN AS, and Boomerang. And i believe that what's she is in.

So someone else is running CN, maybe it will finally be free of her soccer mom mentality

It may take a while for the network to recover from the damages that Miller and Vinshu had left behind.

True, but at least it can change for the better now that shes finally gone.
