How would he feel about all the changes they've made to his creations over the years?

Its not the fact that they change his creations that bother me. Heck, Kirby was the front runner for innovation and wasn’t afraid to make a drastic change to an iconic character. But it really speaks to Kirby’s strength as a visionary that they keep going back to his ideas

On the flip side, it is incredibly disheartening that an industry lauded for creativity and imagination can’t create any new ideas for characters. Marvel had built a billion dollar industry off of characters made in the 60’s

thing I really like about kirby is that to me his art seemed to never stop improving, or at least grew more and more interesting

They were changing his stories as he was creating them. And by they I mean Stan. There were times I agreed with changes made by Stan like for the Green Goblin to be Norman but other times he missed the boat. Great series of articles over at the Kirby Museum if you're interested. Kirby provided margin notes.

Alfredo Alcala was such a good inker for Kirby.

I always thought it was funny to see some ff panels without text, and they'd show sue obviously accomplishing something, and the dialogue stan added later would have sue thanking reed for guiding her through what she did.
