Who's death was sadder?

Who's death was sadder?

Well, not the one who died in his second movie and almost immediately came back.

Whose, MCU tardlet

Joss Whedon came into my store yesterday and a Snyder fag said he should be ashamed of himself for ruining Snyder's masterpiece, he chuckled to himself and left, nice guy.

Pacing. Warner Bros, ever heard of this term?!

Superman was alive at the end of the movie where he died while Iron Man wasn't

>t.Buttfurious DC brainlet

Both those faggots cant hold a candle to THESE.

The one who actually had buildup and established relationships over years and years of movies with the other characters who mourned him, and whose death was actually intended to be permanent and the end of an era, and not a hackish trick to get people talking before the crossover brings him back.

The only sad thing about Superman's death is that it didn't take the rest of DC with it

Holy fucking shit man

What's funny about Ironmans death is that he did take Marvel with him.

>..is that? Is that what it feels like?

Attached: sad cheetah.jpg (400x678, 63K)

Better die as hero than live as villain.

kek see you next year

>Watch when phase 4 is a mass success with no Iron Man

What was the name of that MCU movie after Endgame that made over $1b again?

KEK! Iron Man and Spidey are gione bro. Who is going to lead Marvel now? Dr Stange? Face it, there's no-one left worh watching, especially not that cunt Brie Larson.

You don't even need years of buildup to make a death impactful, you don't even need a full movie, the fact that Superman's death in BvS made me feel nothing as a massive Superman fan is a prime example of how inept Snyder is at a storyteller.

>company war bait thread
no thanks

You mean the movie that people were saying was an epilogue? It is AFTER ffh that we can gauge exactly where the MCU stands. I say this as someone who enjoys the MCU. (Feep free to talk shit, idgaf) we will see what kind of drop off there is or isnt with the next movie

Is this just a thing with you people where you pretend Iron Man is the only character to exist now?
Guardians is coming back for a third movie, Black Panther and Captain Marvel both made a billion like you are aware he wasn't the main character every film right?

MCU needs a "face". None of these characters fit this role.

By whose authority?
Yours?

Nebula

>Autistic space monster dies because he and his friends are too stupid to consider throwing the spear
>Charismatic protagonist we've followed for over a decade sacrifices himself for literally the entire universe and dies in the arms of his loved ones
Hmmm yeah I wonder OP, this is a real Sophie's Choice.

This desu.
I've seen every MCU movie in theaters barring Incredible Hulk and really genuinely liked most of them, but Phase 4 has fucking nothing for me outside of Strange 2 and Guardians 3. Maybe I'll check out the Disney+ shows, but the new additions as far as the movies go sound dull as fuck. Unless these new characters are in the hands of an auteur like James Gunn, it's all gonna go the way of The Inhumans.

>Joss Whedon came into my asshole yesterday and a Snyder fag said he should be ashamed of himself for ruining Snyder's masterpiece, he chuckled to himself and left, nice guy.

Pretty much. Ten years of a character leading a beloved franchise vs one year of a character following a more successful iteration of another.

>No marvel man ded!

lol

>I personally don't like something
>Therefore no one else
How can someone be this retarded?

This. It was gonna be Spidey, but then they got greedy and lost him.

I could see them totally reinventing Carol to not be so wooden and unlikable the way they revamped Thor to be more fun, but it's clear Marvel is frantically in search of a protagonist for the whole franchise.

Maybe Panther or Sam? Or maybe Thor, since he's probably the most popular right now?

Yeah Marvel sure is fucked now

But hey you still have Birds of Prey and Wonder Woman

Attached: 1566939623999.jpg (2896x2896, 895K)

Calm yourself, Mousecuck. Basically everyone but the really serious fans are either burned out on Marvel or are skeptical about the newcomers.

Phase 5 is gonna be the money phase since they're bringing in Guardians, Panther, Carol, X-Men, AND Fantastic 4, but Phase 4 is absolutely gonna be the growing pains phase unless we really get something surprising in the same way GotG took the world by storm.

Nobody cares about The Eternals and nobody knows where the overarching story is going now that Thanos is dead. You're a retard if you can't understand Disney has to work hard to keep everyone on board after the grand finale that was Endgame.

Probably from Yea Forums

That place is lousy with them

>Basically everyone but the really serious fans are either burned out on Marvel or are skeptical about the newcomers.
Prove it dickhead you dumbasses have been saying it for 10 years and it still ain't happen.

>The only way he can convince himself to be excited for Phase 4 is to keep repeating "a-at least it's not Birds of Gay!"
Marvel and DC are in a rough place right now and I wouldn't be shocked if the superhero market finally gets oversaturated and bursts within the next decade.

I didn't give a shit at all about Clark dying since the whole movie was nonsensical including the death itself, he'd only been in one previous film and it was obvious he was coming back for JL.

Yeah having three movies in a single year make over a billion must be really tough for Marvel

How can they ever recover

>DCcucks turn this into another "Marvel is totally dead for real this time guys we mean it!!" Thread

I see you after The Eternals make a billion and see what your excuses are then.

>he thinks Yea Forums is a hivemind
The MCU has been building to Endgame since 2012. For the first time since Avengers there's no light at the end of the tunnel besides "they said mutants and F4 are coming in like 5 years".

Set aside your blind devotion to the Disney Company for like 5 minutes and understand that a franchise as obscure as Eternals is gonna be a hard sell unless they pull a Guardians and present it in a way that completely revolutionizes the genre. Literally just stop assuming everyone is as slavishly devoted to these movies as you are; enthusiasm for the MCU reached a fever pitch with IW and Endgame, but now there are way more people who aren't as interested. The movies are still good, but it's been over a decade and people are tired.

Are cape movies gonna go the way of Westerns?

>it's good because it made money
Lmao, by that logic Suicide Squad was a masterpiece

Probably because they've recently been more formulaic and showy. People really remember Iron Man so fondly because it was weird and and libbed, people fucking loved RDJ's Tony Stark and as a result they had one big bombastic character to build a universe around, which worked.

Hemsworth is their best bet as a headliner right now, he's their most charismatic/inventive actor and he's teamed with Waititi for fun movies with a degree of experimental shit in them.
Carol needs the same kind of work because Larson's capable of good acting. Boseman can be a pretty damn great, too, but both of them need a good director/writer.

>That goalpost shift
Fucking hilarious

Sorry I dont go to the theater fag. I torrent what I like from Rat House. The rest can fuck off. I never watched Antman films, Captain Dyke, homecoming, Ultron, or any of the netflex trash.

>Captain Dyke
As if we needed anymore reason to know what kind of fag you are

neither of the characters.

You where saying? Also are you referring to that one character that isnt in the universe anymore?

Attached: 1566656824076.jpg (1642x1293, 361K)

I wouldn't be shocked, we're due for it all to crash. The only reason it didn't is because the MCU is for the most part quality. They're fun, enjoyable movies, so it's hard to get too burned out on em.

But now we're at the point where there are 20+ movies available now, like 15 more coming in the next 5 years, plus a half dozen streaming shows, not counting the half dozen streaming shows and tv series that we had before, and now you've gotta buy the streaming service and watch all the shows if you wanna understand the new movies from now on.

One of the big reasons the MCU is so popular is because it appeals to everyone. There's enough lore and interconnectivity that the hardcore fans are happy, but if you just wanna take your kids to the theater or throw something on for movie night, they're not super challenging films or anything. Now it's getting more complex and complicated just to watch them, forget about following the actual plotlines.

I'm not gonna say "Eternals/Shang Chi/whatever is gonna be their first bomb", because that's a meme by now, but I wouldn't at all be shocked if Phase 4 is where we really start seeing some diminishing returns.

Unless the next big movie sets up another Thanos in the form of Doom or Galactus or whatever. They gotta keep that "you gotta see ALL OF THEM to not miss out on clues" thing going or they'll hit some rocky ground.

What goalposts. I'm not even the guy you were replying to, I'mjust pointing out you're a retarded faggot if you think box office earnings is what indicates a good movie.

My favorite flavor of Tea is Mint.

What is yours Yea Forums?

>You where saying?
Oh my God women!
They're so scary, it isn't like they take up half the human population!
What ever will we do now that woman are getting roles?!

strange how it's only bad when Marvel fans bring up Marvel's many MANY successes but when you dipshits use the EXACT SAME ARGUMENT for Aquaman suddenly it's good

kind of like Marvel's many many glowing reviews and Shazam and Wonder Woman

10/10 best post

I've had red raspberry tea recently and I'm really liking it.

/pol/ can't understand a world outside their mind bubble

Marvel can rely with the fact that they have lots of characters with varying degrees of popularity instead of iggyback in a single one. It was shit when they did it with Iron Man and it would have been shit with Spider-Man.

>Guardians of the Galaxy? Who the fuck are they? Nobody knows anything about them this movie is going to flop hard
We’ve been through this song and dance at least 3 times by now, Marvel MAKES people give a shit about obscure characters, saying shit like “who are the Eternals lmao” is just dumb at this point. If the MCU is going down it wont be because of this

>literally hating a logo because there's a woman working on it
Peak autism.

>Character who was developed for five years and died a graceful death for a noble cause
vs
>Character who was barely developed in his own previous movie and was nothing but a breathing plot point in the one where he died just because "HEY GUISE LOOK I DID A REFURRRENCE"
Gee I dunno, you tell me

Tony Stark dead was legit meh

Logan dead is 100% better

>Titans next week and then Stargirl
I'm pretty good desu

>character dies to conclude their character arc while thematically fitting to the story
>character dies because he died in the story they adapted it from
I don't even like Tony's death that much, but Snyder can't even compare.

Honestly, I had a dreamwhere they got Iron Man back and of course everyone celebrated, since then I cant not expecting it to happen

>Marvel is gonna have to do what they did with Guardians for Eternals if they want it to succeed
>"IT'S GONNA SUCCEED NO MATTER WHAT, LOOK WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GUARDIANS"
Amazing you can type when you dont have two brain cells to rub together

>everyone I disagree with is Yea Forums or /pol/, an emotional child's guide to capeshit

This famalam

>not reading the post
Okay kiddo

>you dipshits
Stop projecting. Take Disney's cock out of your mouth and understand how stupid you look using the arguments of actual retards in an attempt to not look like a retard.

I liked Aquaman because I'm a huge Aquafag, but it wasn't really a good movie. I'm more happy it succeeded financially because it and Shazam might inspire WB to go for something more colorful and fun.

Tony’s.

I really enjoyed that last fight with Doomsday. And I felt that Superman’s death was really well done. Of course knowing that it wouldn’t stick made it less emotional, but as a stand alone moment, it was pretty good. I really like Hans Zimmer music. On the other hand, Tony’s sacrifice seems to have been building up since way back, so it was also a great scene because of all the background story. But I just didn’t see the need of him sacrificing himself. It feels as if Dr Strange’s prediction was really forced.

>"T-That one doesn't count!"

Vegeta's feels less sad when you realise half the casualties in the show are from his fuckups or just outright murders. But good post.

Iron Man.

Top kek.

May i add someone?

That was sad too. Lord pain was sad too thou.

>after The Eternals make a billion

Let's not get too crazy! But I will agree, after 10+ years of proclaiming Marvel's death, their jealousy does get a little old (especially when predicted flops like Blk Panther and Cap Marvel make over a billion). Marvel's earned some respect after 10 years - it's okay to be a fanboy, but cut it out with the death threats, it's childish.

Yondu's

How many years have DC fags been saying this again?

Attached: die.png (225x225, 8K)

>”he might be your father but he ain’t your daddy”
This.

tony. He had the choice and took it and he had a family.
