In which Kruger the Edgedog fights the Rangers, the Mary Sue Ranger gets a backstory, and based Elgar makes a cameo.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #42 storytime
Thanks for the storytime OP. It will never not baffle me that Power Rangers has multiple comic series and a lore strong enough to support it in the right hands
bump
I'm assuming General Havoc was stuck babysitting Elgar for the day, because I don't see Divatox putting, well, any kind of faith in him.
Does anyone else find it annoying that Rocky, Adam and Aisha have very little prominence? They should be more important, I feel that Jason, Trini and Zack and the OC have appeared a lot in the comic
Darkonda, General Havoc and Elgar, Queen Machina and Klank... any other cameos I missed?
Cute Trini!
>When Tommy is drawn just like Kimberly
whew. this book is ugly.
They've only been around for two issues, user. Give it time.
when and why did the yellow ranger become black
The yellow and black rangers switched races because they realized Zordon was a bit bigoted when he passed out the colors.
I must be missing some issues or something. I've been trying to follow Boom! rangers but I'm lost. The time line shifted? Tommy just appeared out of nowhere and he's already the white ranger leading the team? Kimberly and billy are still in angel grove with Aisha, Adam, and I forget who the new red ranger was, while Zack, Trini, and Jason are with two Aliens I don't know and they've got the Ninja powers from the movie? Is there some event that happened?
Seems they've finally sent the original red, black & yellow rangers on that peace conference
Okay.
When MMPR started, it was just after Green with Evil. The timeline shifted forward a little bit, then Shattered Grid happened. When it picked up, they did a timejump until after Jason and co. went to the 'peace conference', which turned out to be an excuse for them to go in as a black ops power ranger team.
They don't have the Ninja Ranger powers, they're the Omega Rangers, a totally new set.
This was all explained in the last issue.
Okay so at first Go Go Power Rangers was basically the original 5 rangers from almost immediately after they became Rangers until meeting Tommy
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was almost immediately after Tommy joined the team until the Shattered Grid event
Ignore the Beyond the Grid arc
Now Go Go Power Rangers is almost immediately following the Shattered Grid event and events in the TV show where Tommy lost his Green Ranger powers. It is also showing how Jason starts his own splinter team of Power Rangers and why they're leaving the team.
Mighty Morphin has a bit of a time skip to a certain period in the show (season two where Rita has been replaced by Lord Zedd, Tommy has come back with the White Ranger powers to become the new team leader, the Dinozords have become the Thunderzords, Jason, Zack and Trini have all left and been replaced by Rocky, Adam and Aisha)
So GGPR is showing how Jason, Trini and Zack get their new Omega Ranger powers and mission
MMPR is showing what they're doing as Omega Rangers once they've left and how it ties back to what the main team is doing back on Earth
Ah ok. Green with Evil was it's own thing? I I think that's what I'm missing. that and Shattered grid. Thanks.
Green With Evil is an arc in the original TV show.
OH! they switched titles! I knew I was missing shit. I was just reading through all of Go! Go!. I didn't know the plot jumped to Mighty Morphin?
Yeahhh it's kind of a mess how they set this up
Did Tommy just recently got his White Ranger powers? Because why is he still wearing green civilian clothing?
Maybe they didn't want to put him in white in a scene with just Kimberly because they look so similarKimberly wore a lot of white too
well when you've got a series going for 25 years you build up lore
>kimberly's bow took a chunk out of a putty's head
that's what i'm looking for
that happened in season 2 of the show. they're semi following the show's progression
Yes, let's all talk about the minion and not freaking Darkonda who's right next to him!
> Darkonda suddenly gone.
That is not good for the villains or heroes. The fucker is up to something.
Nobody puts faith in her either
And I don't blame Havoc for that.
Thanks
For a moment, I thought the guy in the second panel was Deviot. It would be fucking kino.
Did something happen to the rights with Boom? I feel like I read that somewhere. Was it all just a dream?
Deviot and Darkonda in the same room would leave no survivors
No?
>new character
>strongest of the team
>can beat the guy the main characters can't
>Has an edgy backstory.
Kiya is kind of a mary sue.
obvious traitor, user
She'll dyke up Trini first, and then do the treachery
basically the best way to do it is this
GoGo #1-8
GoGo #5-20
Rangers Forever
MMPR #0-25
GoGo# 9-12*
MMPR #26
Free Comic Book Day 2018
Annual 2018
MMPR#27-30
Shattered Grid #1
MMPR#31-39
GoGo #21+
MMPR #40+
this is the best reading order for people newly getting into the comics.
oops meant
>GoGo #1-8
>GoGo #13-20
>Rangers Forever
This makes no sense
Why are you reading 1 to 8 and then going back to read 5 to 20?
Probably missed it. I made a mistake.
Nevermind. Carry on
Hopefully with Ryan working on both books now there will be some consistencies between the both ongoings. The two prior had some issues with continuity.
