It feels like one of these contradicts the other.
It’s a good easy to pick up MMO.
It must still have enough players to justify itself
Is it any fun? What does the community look like these days?
Think about it, there are no other Hero MMO's competing against it. People get desperate and play it. The game is mediocre and it isn't horrible just unremarkable.
Why dont they make a new mmo? Cuz the graphics on this game about to be 2 gen’s old
Wouldn't it be a contradiction if he had said Why is this dead?
How is it a contradiction the way it's stated?
It's pretty repetitive and gets boring. Granted, I never got to the level cap, and played mostly solo rather than in guilds or raids or whatever, and never played much of the Endgame content.
The gameplay is essentially, "hey player, Oracle here. There are a bunch of generic NPCs walking around in this area of town. Beat up, like, 35 of them. Then I'll tell you to go to another area of town with more NPCs to beat up. Do that maybe one or two more times, and then go to a dungeon to fight more NPCs and a boss with a cameo from a DC character." Every single mission is like this.
Some positives are that the character-creator is fun, and the game is comfy because it seems to be an eternal snapshot of the pre-Flashpoint DCU. Tim Drake in his BTAS Robin costume, all the familiar characters, etc.
>no other Hero MMO's competing against it.
Champions still exists but people are also pissed off about CoX still and it doesn't have the boost that DC has from being a name brand
Also the fact that it's available on consoles as well as PC helps, that's part of why FF14 has been gaining ground on WoW
