What does Yea Forums think?

Those are the original designs, what are you talking about

I feel like Jay's the only one making a good pose. Everyone else is just standing there.

For me, it's Sandman.

>redesigns
But those are their classic looks

How does it work when Mr Terriffic, Hawkman, and Dr Fate were still around on Earth while everyone else was erased?

There are a few differences from the original designs.

Hawkman's helmet is now metal which is closer to his later Earth-2 design, also chinstrap. Now has the central hawk symbol which wasn't introduced to the design until the Silver Age.
Hourman is using a weird double hood, instead of a single hood.
Atom now seems to be black and orange/brown instead of blue and yellow(though that may be the lighting)
Starman star symbol is now higher on the chest and attached to his cape, where before it was central.

Those really aren't redesigns friend, it's just a new artist drawing their same old costumes. Every time a new artist draws Batman and draws the ears on the cowl slightly longer or shorter than usual it's not a redesign.

>Mr. Terrific
Altered version of the original
>Dr. Fate
Same helmet, different guy, in two separate instances occupying the same point in time
>Hawkman
It's fucking Hawkman

So is this the same Hawkman that's been around since Dark Knights: Metal and has his own solo or are we adding yet another confusing mess to the black hole that is Hawkman continuity?

And they aren't really the original designs, buddy. The changes in primary elements are different enough to not just be artistic style.

is it me or is Snyder kinda of a dick for undercutting Johns by doing this? I know Doomsday clock is taking too long but ever since Harper Row I think Snyder want to be liked by fans so he does shit like this.

>The changes in primary elements are different enough to not just be artistic style.
they look the same as they always been.

>is it me or is Snyder kinda of a dick
Snyder only did this because he was allowed to. Don't forget who carries the almighty hammer at DC. Writers only do things when they are allowed by editorial, and who editorial answers to.
Don't get me wrong, I don't like a lot of what he is doing, but as has been indicated within another thread in the catalog, whatever the reason is, DC is doing Johns dirty, and there doesn't appear to be anyone who is standing up for the guy, himself included.

This redeems Jimenez for working on Earth 2: World's End/Earth 2: Society

Jimenez has been redeemed for awhile now.
Besides, the fact that we got him out of that does that piece of shit book's reputation a benefit more than Jimenez looking bad for being a part of it.

Sorry guy, but I'm really not seeing many change sin primary elements here.

To be fair, he's taking his sweet fucking time.

Good, fuck Johns

I'm not saying he is not, but as I said in the other thread, Metal turned out to be the complete opposite of what they told us it was at first, because I remember the announcement of it including questions about whether or not it would impact Doomsday Clock, which they said it wouldn't. As I recall they also said it was meant to be a popcorn summer event with no lasting ramifications that would disrupt the plans that were already lined up for the broader Rebirth line leading into Doomsday Clock. It was just going to be a "cool event that was just going to such a metal exploration of the entire DCU."
And it literally turned out to be all those things. Based on what we have seen, Scott Snyder didn't come up with all of this off the cuff. This is something he planned out for a time. Is it possible He was only only encouraged to after Johns delays held him up? Sure, but between Doomsday Clock being made non-canon, 3 Jokers made non-canon, and even Johns containment book to write Shazam at his own pace on the whole unconnected from the rest of the DCU around it, Shazam now being dragged into Snyder's Secret Six characters infected by the Batman Who LMAOs? It just feels like they are unceremoniously taking away everything that Johns gave a shit about, and leaving him high and dry, and if Johns and Didio came out and gave a bullshit puff piece interview, regardless of it being bullshit, it'd at least be evidence that they were on the same page, and I think the fact that they haven't done anything like that says more about Johns' standing at DC more than anything else.
Maybe that's just me though.

My mistake. Clearly identical.

>Don't forget who carries the almighty hammer at DC.
>Writers only do things when they are allowed by editorial sure but you as a writer have to bring the idea to editorial first right? ultimately I don't think Snyder is gonna do much, if anything at all, with the JSA that's actually gonna interfere with Doomsday clock but it's the idea that he wanted to say FIRST and steal a little thunder.
though on the other hand this could be not even the real JSA.

High level of cringe from Wildcat and Jay, i bet this is written by Snyder.

Honestly man, if Bendis wasn't introducing a different Legion than the one Johns tried to in Doomsday Clock, I might be willing to think so, but he is, and frankly, DC is just letting me down too much lately for me to thing such a smart idea is something they'd do. But we'll see. I hope you're right.

Kino skinny chandler bing alan scott

Alan Scott is a barrel-chested, 6'6 Chad.

We can still get the Alan Scott who dicked two villains good enough that they stop committing crimes.

Ugh. Just give us good legacy JSA, not this golden age Snyder fanservice. Or at least golden age JSA set during WWII

That is the golden age JSA.
