Can we all agree that son of the mask is the worst Yea Forums adaption ever?

I’ve never seen it, but I remember the Daily Show interview with Alan Cumming was fucking hilarious because everyone knew it was shit and they barely said anything about the movie.
I think OP is suggesting adaptations that stray furthest from their source material. So it has to be more than just a deeply disappointing version of something that was already pretty meh as notes.

My bottom 5 comic book adaptations:

Knowing the plot =/= Actually seeing it

it's bad but it has an actual structure with a character arc. Some adaptions can't even have those

Nah I mean it's terrible but at least it had SOME elements of the comic.
Even references to "You're just too good to be true" song, which was a nice touch.

Son of the Mask was terrible for many reasons, but lacking Jim Carrey shouldn't be one of them.
