Can John Henry lift thor hammer?
Crossovers you wanted to see
that's a sledgehammer for...
Fallout saga?
Paul bunyan>John henry>that cowboy guy>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>shit>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Johnny appleseed
Why you like Paul bunyan over John Henry?
Great taste.
>Can John Henry lift thor hammer?
honestly kinda surprised Marvel hasn't done something along those lines yet
Has there been a black Thor in Marvel?
Like, a black character with either Mjlonir or a similar thing, like how Beta Ray Bill has Stormbreaker, not just a literal black Thor. But that would also count, so if that’s been done, tell me.
>Can John Henry lift thor hammer?
Yes. Can Thor outspeed the steam powered hammer?
could even be an interesting 'past' story.
Like maybe some Black guy asks Thor about if Asgard has ever viewed a Black person as worthy and Thor proceeds to explain how Mjolnir recalls the tale of John Henry.
Can Heimdall wield Mjolnir?
Where does davey crocket fall?
Somewhere between James Dean and Elvis Presley.
Yeah, why not. If a woman can do it then some dindu can do it too.
In my opinion over that cowboy guy
Would he get docked points for being real? Many of his “feats” sound just like Bunyan’s from what I remember.
Funny how Rodan is such a bitch no matter what.
This.
Imagine a Luke Cage/John Henry crossover
>that cowboy guy
Who?
Did I fucking stutter!?
>>that cowboy guy
>Who?
He's thinking of Pecos Bill.
O remember seeing the short that guy made as a pitch to disney its a shame it didn't get made
Time travel arc and it turns out cage WAS john henry irons, after he finishes the tunnel he goes back to the present
>Has there been a black Thor in Marvel?
John Henry >>>>> Thor
Thor is no steel drivin' man.
Okay.
Seems a bit redundant, but I can see a few non-overlapping modifications. I think. I don't know the most about Storm.
Would Snagglepuss get a green lantern ring?
i can dig it
>Crossovers you wanted to see
Can Bugs Bunny catch the Road Runner?
Billy the kid
Smh
Is Bugs allowed to take amphetamines again? If so, yeah.
He killed a bar(sic) when he was only 3!
Yes
>hating on Johnny Appleseed, the MrRogers/BobRoss of western expansion
Don't you be hating on my boy. He pure.
Also he was at least real, which is more than can be said about the rest.
>Has there been a black Thor in Marvel?
No but there has been a Nigger Thor
I know Bunyan is the chadest being in any folklore but but what about Pecos ? And there's Smelma too
Not that user but
>giant
>has a big blue ox
>created the great plains
>kids would skate in a skillet to make one pancake for him
John Henry is cool but Paul Bunyan is cooler
There was a black Thor too
Steel and Thor would make a cool amalgam character
Well they had to make a woman thor firsr because white women are the most disadvantaged minorities in all of America.
It's because they don't want to give Steel any publicity
No, and Heimdall isn't black.
The fuck is your beef with Pecos Bill?
Storm only has elemental control and "flight" via manipulating wind currents, wielding Mjolnir would also grant her super-strenght, invulnerability and better, faster flight.
>It's name
Seriously? No one at Marvel caught that?
Who's Smelma ?
grow up
Johnny Appleseed was a real guy. They usually leave out that the apple trees he planted were cider apples.
Hard Cider was far more popular than beer for a long time in the US.
en.wikipedia.org
But that's not Thor; that's Storm with her own hammer, like Beta Ray Bill.
Bugs bunny is just the latest incarnation if B'rer Rabbit.
>Heimdall isn't black.
Excuse me, what?
See the later part of
>tfw no tag team duo comic of a negro and a coolie fighting against evil white contractors across the continental railroad
>they're helped by an indian that is basically ninja tanto
So was Davy Crockett
Beta Ray Bill is black
>white women are the naggiest and have the most money
Fixed
user.....
>Uses a hammer
>Strikes so hard the story often describes it as ringing like thunder
>Fights for the common man
>Almost superhuman strength.
Let's be honest: John Henry is probably a paladin of Thor
OH FUCK I WANT TO USE THAT IN A D&D GAME.
I get it now, it's Smelma balls haha
/Tg/ no longer does
>This is how I x
threads, because tg no longer knows how to have fun/anything other than generals, but when they did, beta ray bill was usually the #1 example of
>This is how I paladin
What if The Jersey Devil was a ghost rider/spirit of vengeance
Smelma dick lol
Ed Edd n Eddy
>Can John Henry lift thor hammer?
lmao no he's black
>implying there weren’t black Vikings
>kids would skate in a skillet to make one pancake for him
Always thought that was stupidly dangerous as fuck but man imagine the speed you would get when the pan gets really hot
Lies
Nice to know you never read the comics
>Fights for the common man
How? By engaging in self-destructive contests against the idea of automation, which would have more than likely made the command man's life easier and less deadly? Just seems selfish and insane to me.
Storm as Thor is actually pretty dope
Well not the Thor ones.
Did he fight for the freedom of black men? Was it just the Disney version?
>selfish and insane
Just like the common man.
why would Marvel want to promote a DC character?
also malcom x was a chinese in blackface
Exactly my point?
Considering his song is popular with miners and railroad workers, I'd say the common man.
But Johnny was real and did countless good all over America.
God Tier:
Johhny Appleseed
John Henry
Davy Crockett
Paul Bunyan
Shit Tier:
Pecos Bill
Fuck Pecos Bill, that guy’s a shithead.
>God Tier
>Johhny Appleseed
Wasn't there a Black Thor working under God Doom?
He was just doing land grabs because if he planted apples and left the area alone for a few years he'd have free land to sell.
Actually I'm not sure if he chose to keep ownership of the orchards.
Where does Casey Jones fit in this?
He was selling them. That was the entire point behind him planting the appleseeds. If he makes an orchard, he officially owns the land because an orchard is proof that he "worked" to make a settlement. Since he only needed to plant the seeds he just dumped them and left for a few years before coming back to get the easy money.
Could he lift the hammer?
Pecos Bill is based and you are a faggot. Also if you're going to put people that actually existed in your tier list, where the fuck is Teddy Roosevelt? he hunted sasquatch for fuck's sake.
Yes, but then he dies.
Well excuse me, but 'ALL BLACK THE NEGROSWORD' is a little on the fucking nose isn't it???
Except at the time it was seen as stealing the jobs people were using to feed their families and stay alive, while potentially stranding them far from where they started.
That says NECROsword
>giving another black hero electric powers
Sounds kino
>John finds Mjolnir out in the woods
>everyone tries their hardest to lift it but John picks it up with ease
>he uses it to drive steel because it's so light to him
>gets into the race with the steam machine
>uses Mjolnir to its full extent for the first time but it's too much for him
oh wow, that's a blast from the past. I still remember that arm wrestling scene.
She even went back to it for a while recentely
A version of Rhodey also got it during Secret Wars
Only if it’s New Vegas.
One of the few that could, assuming what history can be found on him isn't overflanderizing of him
YOOOOO it's that guy from Bill & Ted
HE'S ORANGE ORRRAAANGE OF COURSE HE'S ORANNNNGE
A fifth turtle of sorts
Not him, but Heimdall in the original legends was described as "the whitest) brightest of the gods".
He was fighting the steam drill because it was going to eliminate the jobs of his fellow railway workers (and with it the livelihood and promises of land that came with said jobs). And this wasn't in modern days where you just go try to find another job, these people had no homes and the railroad was the only job of almost any sort for miles.
Based madman, he was wild west Clock King, but as a hero rather than a villain.
Why is American Folklore so under utilized in media?
How dare you do Johnny Appleseed like that. He’s at least better than Johnny Corn on the Cob.
Haven't you heard? Orange is the new black
Corn > Apples
>Shitting on based Pecos Bill
Go fuck yourself
What about Johnny Choclate Pudding?
t. syrup shill
You gotta understand, there was a key difference between Paul Bunyan and John Henry. Both of them were good men, and both were against the idea of being replaced by technology. HOWEVER, John Henry fought to keep his job and the job of his fellow workers, since jobs were scarce. Paul Bunyan, as good and noble as he was, became haughty and thought that it would be silly for him to lose to a city slicker (sneed etc). It's actually a very interesting contrast.
JOHN AND THE DRILL MADE THE VALLEY SHAKE
>Has there been a black Thor in Marvel?
Wasn't there some Alpha Flight mini where Beta Ray Bill was trapped in the body of a black kid Donald Blake style?
I'm aware of his work.
These guys vs X-men
I was always asking this as well. Maybe because of lack of distinct enemy?
She isn't even remotely good enough a person to be Thor. Among other things, Thor cannot be as big a dipshit as she tends to be.
en.wikipedia.org
>These narratives were probably invented as short stories in a book by Edward S. O'Reilly in the early 20th Century and are considered to be an example of fakelore.
Pecos Bill is a fucking fraud
The real question is where does Humpty Dumpty fit into this discussion?
>female protagonist. Uses wind magic
>martial artist best friend, always your gender. Doesn’t learn magic
>mage in front, has a sad backstory and puts up a tough front because of it. Fire magic.
>thief in back, secretly a prince but hates it. Canon female romance. Light magic.
>mentor character, uses water and ice magic. Gay option for girls.
>redeemed recurring villain who joins your party, uses dark magic and axes. Male gay option
>optional bro party member with a gimmick. Down to fuck whenever and whatever. Earth magic
it counts when its in spirit
Yeah, that hobo was obviously confused.
It was Daniel Boone that fought Rodan, not Paul Bunyan.
Didn't they have Abomination lift the hammer once?
That's close enough.
Most Americans don't even know/remember the stories from grade school.
>be in jap culture class
>teacher (Jap exchange teacher) wanted to know about American culture/folk stories
>didn't do assignment and just brought up paul bunyon on a whim since he is apparently from Maine and not the other states because fuck you guys he's from here
>everyone else in the class either didn't get it or are retarded cause they brought up shit from european (mainly german) culture they assumed was american because of disney movies
>was the only one who mentioned anything american, let alone from the state we were in atm
There is a lack of audience but I bet it could be neat given how many believe we have no culture/folklore.
>I'm just realizing DC Steel is a reference to John Henry.
Good damn I'm unculture
Steel is shit version of the real deal.
No.
There's only one Thor. He's a blond white guy.
WE
he's orange, you dumb faggot
Nigga Thor
A red headed runecoon actually.
The blonde white guy is a jack kirby aryan superman thing.
He just had a thing for blonde aryan supermen.

This would be true if the johnny appleseed they taught in american elementary schools was real, but the actual legend and the actual person are both way more interesting.
Like how when you plant apples you clone a tree with a piece of stem or root, you don't plant the seeds. This guarantees the apples come out right.
Do you know what kinds of trees you do plant the seeds for? Crab apples and sour apples. What are these apples mainly used for? Booze. Apple brandy or Apple Jack. The kind they'd make over winter by freezing it in a barrel, breaking off the ice, freezing it again, and repeating until it's good and strong.
Why did he plant seed to encourage everyone get drunk on brandy? Short answer: it was local and not imported from Europe so it would make america more independent. Long answer: go read his wikipedia page, it's a trip.
tanx
Which hero can Stagger Lee even go against.
Are you referring to the Norse deity?
That's a separate thing.
Yeah, I mean how many people know of Bass Reeves even though he's the first black lawman west of the Mississippi and his exploits inspired the Lone Ranger stories.
That wasn't Mjolnir. I think it was even enchanted by Loki, though it was forged by the same dwarves.
Besides, around the time, she had been a good leader of the X-Men and a total Mary Sue.
Not a kid, a hobo, but yeah. I think it was Omega Flight at the time.
>thor hears about this contest
>goes to see john henry
>thor puts his hammer down and john manages to lift it
>thor is astounded and says he would be honored if john could use his hammer in this contest
>john declines and tells him it has to be done the old fashioned way or else it proves nothing
Yes.
Can John Henry prevent Ragnarok?
Yes, but we don't know if he will.
Can Thor learn at a geometric rate by connecting to the internet?
Lord, Lord
Who are they??
