Ellen's creation's been the very premise to a number of things happening in the comic, which they've had to solve. Didn't actually solve anything. "They though it'd be a solution" isn't a counterargument to "it was a problem, not a solution". Didn't solve anything -> wasn't a solution. Both the EGS twin creation and the Misfile twin creation were thought to be the solution to a gender swap creation.

This may be an unpopular opinion in CURRENT YEAR, but the notion of sexualities is not only fictitious but objectively irrelevant. In Ancient Greece and Rome, homosexual pedophilia was routinely practiced by men who would then proceed to go home and fuck their wives and/or take on mistresses, proposition female prostitutes, etc etc. Were they gay, straight, bisexual? Emily remembers because they didn't refile her missing pages (she destroyed them). Male Ash remembers because his file has been tampered with specifically to prevent him forgetting. Girl-Ash is the only one who forgot. But for everything the misfiled Ash did as a girl, as far as the universe is concerned the current girl-Ash did it (since they're functionally the same person up to the split).

From what is explained last page, Boy Ash remembers being turned into a girl due to angel boy putting a bunch of garbage data in his file to keep the database from updating 100%, somehow that not only makes him grow up yet still remember the previous timeline but somehow it affects Emily as well due to how her distortion was a sideeffect of Ash's misfile.

New Girl Ash is an entirely new creation with no memories other than the new timeline just so that OG Ash's life could have gotten the improvements of the timeline where he was a girl without him having to BE the girl.

Apparently stuff like Ash's mother re-connecting with as well as other good changes can ONLY happen is there's a girl Ash around. OG Ash wanted to return to be a boy but didn't want to lose the good thigns that did happened in his enw life, so he was placed back with a sister.

What about Valkyrie Yuuki?

They needed to preserv girl-Ash's whole life, even the one that emerged from the misfile in the first place, because basically everything good that's happened to Ash during the misfile is due to either stuff girl Ash did before or stuff he did as girl Ash. They couldn't rewrite the file because it's way above the competences of their angel and in this specific domain he still was the most competent of the group, which is why his way to preserve Ash's memories was to glitch his file, but on the other hand he could change the gender in girl-Ash's file, comparatively a very small change.

Emily's memory isn't kept as a side effect of Ash's, it's kept because her missing pages weren't put back in her file so there's nothing to overwrite her current memories.
