How do we stop all these god-awful live-action remakes? This is getting ridiculous.
How do we stop all these god-awful live-action remakes? This is getting ridiculous
Tell me this isn't real.
Oh for fuck's sake of course it's real.
Someone needs to put down the mouse, it's got rabies or something.
I've committed the better part of the year to coming up with a careful, cunning planning that'll take five years to properly execute but I'm confident it's better then that Larry guy's idea of "stop watching and buying" bullshit.
Anything can be solved with enough IEDs.
We kidnap Bob Iger and throw him in a dungeon
We wait.
There are a limited amount of Disney animated films, and they keep trying to burn through them faster and faster. They'll be out of material by 2025
You might be on to something.
user they'll eventually come for Pixar and the Disney CG films.
>Yea Forums gets so fed up with live-action remakes it organises a terrorist attack on Disney HQ
Bit extreme I must admit but I'm not opposed to it
Whoring out is a natural part of business, user.
It makes money, and it's easy.
Therefore the question that should be pondered is what they need those extra billions of dollars for.
>how do we stop successful businesses from making money
These remakes will sell anyway because soulless Chinese see them en masse. Lion Kang was godawful but it made a huge profit because of China.
>Therefore the question that should be pondered is what they need those extra billions of dollars for.
Haven't you heard? Recently Disney has been accused of massively overreporting their income on many projects. Apparently a lot of their shitty new movies and theme parks are failing so these remakes are a quick and dirty way to stabilize after poor financial decisions.
Pretty much. It's like the direct-to-video sequels they did. Just something for parents to keep their kids happy. Better to just ignore it.
>Therefore the question that should be pondered is what they need those extra billions of dollars for.
It's capitalism. Every business wants to make as much money as possible and can never have enough. Even to the point of sacrifice the futures of people, lands or even themselves in the longterm. The kicker is even if one of them doesn't do it, another will.
Oh no, all 8 Pixar films!
Best bet is to make people believe something to make them stop watching these movies. People can be ignorant, you just gotta find that button that makes them that way.
>Pretty much. It's like the direct-to-video sequels they did. Just something for parents to keep their kids happy. Better to just ignore it.
Those direct to video sequels, crappy as they were, were original stories with new songs that continued the original plots. These CGI remakes are shot-for-shot retreads of the original movies with maybe 1-2 wholly unnecessary new scenes added in. What's even the point?
Why take your kid to see the shitty new Aladdin when the good Aladdin already exists?
cars is going to be fucking weird
I can't wait for an all-black remake of Song of the South. The usual media wankery will describe it as "brave" and "groundbreaking".
Well you faggots need to stop being hypocrites and actually stop seeing these movies in theaters.
And don't pretend you aren't I know plenty of you douchebags are seeing anyways.
I could unironically see that happening.
It'll be a "deconstruction".
The Lion King is now the biggest-selling animated movie of all time. It's never going to stop friendo.
We could always seize the means of production if you wanna
Lion King made a huge profit everywhere, not just in China
That's when they remake everything into hologram 5D.
Maybe they'll do them all in 2D animation?
>How do we stop all these god-awful live-action remakes?
Pro tip: you can’t.
HA
STOP WATCHING THEM!
Seriously it is so fucking simple. Stop watching garbage, and eventually they will stop making garbage. If they don't then they will lose more money. Either way you win by not watching their garbage.
You simply don't go see them, and tell people not to see them
You want to kidnap all the animators and force them to make good movies or something?
Or do you mean just steal their pens and stuff?
Because I really can't draw for shit
The problem fuckker is that they’ll still make money regardless if a couple people stop watching them. And we can’t do shit about international viewers
You can't stop nostalgia. Until there is a clear sign that no one wants them anymore, Disney will keep making these remakes.
Nobody draws anymore...except storyboarders and furry artists.
no, in this case it would be handing the reins to the workers so they could democratically vote on what work to do, rather than higher ups dictating based on market research.
Just be glad it went straight to streaming. That's where they all belong.
But what if they all wanted to work for Disney?
That's probably the dream job for many of them, why would you want to take that away from them you monster
when was the last time Disney did something original and new?
Toy Story live action remake when?
assassination, duh
fuck you user, I actually want to see a live-action Cars now, I can't stop laughing at the idea
You don't. Disney is going to erase the original versions from history. In a hundred years, everyone will think the live action movies were the originals.
>removing a chance to double dip consumers with live action and animated editions
lmfao
It's not about the money. They already have more money than God. It's about the power to rewrite history and have everyone accept the new history as fact.
Lion King is just made about $120M in China. It's dominated by Ne Zha the animated movie in this summer period.
This. Especially the ones who watch it just to bitch about it. And no, most of you dont pirate either.
