NGL, it varies, most of the time it's "softporn" with nudes w/o genitalia, or, rarely, hardcore, the stories can be funny and entertaining to "meh", and the art is mostly sub-par compared to the covers, tho there are some that are drawn nicely, but sadly I don't know any of the artists involved in these comics besides the one who made the covers.

What about El Pecado de Oyuki (Oyuki's Sin)? That was a comic book later adapted into a soap opera/telenovela and it wasn't the only one. I think the modern perception of Mexican comic book history has been hurt by past (non-porn) comics not being archived and reprinted.

Business failure and general disinterest, we got stuck on dramas and action and then on comedy/sexycomedia because as the old adage says, people consume what they want, same as with television and film, I want to think we could've had a boom on comic culture like there was in south America and Spain had there been people willing to fund or endorse it, but in reality it was just cheaper to get a license for the big two and translate them or just reissue old comics like Memin, but there really wasn't anything until we had weeb influence comic like or Meteorix, and by then editorials like Vid started to translate manga, which was nice but then there has always been the issue of cost, which is the major deterrent for the average consumer.

Manga and anime exploded in popularity in the late 90s. As in the 2-hour TV block that had Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Pokémon and Ranma 1/2 surpassed mexican telenovelas, soccer, the Simpsons and news broadcasts in ratings by a vast margin.
Literally everyone under 40 in Mexico knows who Goku, Pikachu and Sailor Moon are.
There were two smaller publishers, UFO Comics and Editoposter. UFO made alternative comics that could be described as 'getting Todd McFarlane and Kia Asamiya in the same room and force them to draw something written by Rob Liefeld and produced by Uwe Boll'.
Editoposter knew manga was popular and their fanzine Conexion Manga, became one of the top-selling magazines in the country, and still exists to this day despite the availability of internet (they got so popular that they even organized comic book conventions in the mid-00s).
And eventually, they began making porn comics while imitating anime aesthetics for a profit, hiring artists who were told to imitate the big eye-big tits look and combine it with the humor and writing of a fichera movie.
There was the chambeadoras, Fantasia y Seduccion XXX (mostly parodies), Nueve Negro and a hentai magazine which featured different artists each month; while also featuring ads from people who wanted to hook up to have sex with other weebs, porn website recommendations, sex ed articles and porn movie reviews.
There was also 'Dibujando Hentai', where you got artists showing you how to draw smut. I even have a copy where it explains how to draw monster girls.
