The story my mind seems to be getting from all of these pics is that these nanny robots are popular among the uber rich who use them so they don't have to spend time with the kids. The nanny bots then begin to develop a more human sense of self as they are the ones having the raise the child.
Once the girl is older and the nanny bot is displaying more human emotion that she should, the father or the mother either decides to have her serviced, junk her because she's no longer necessary, or replace her with a newer model. Or it could be that the nanny bot was accidentally damaged by something the daughter did and it's just cheaper to get a new one then to fix an older model.
Since the daughter is at a fussy moody age, the nanny bot probably doesn't protest her own dismissal.
Cue "waking up" with the goth girl who gets her second hand (either through theft, salvaging, or a purchase) and begins repairing the nanny bot. Nanny bot's cheerfulness is a bit grating, but she does clean the house/garage/work area and make things more organized than they've ever been.
From there it can go any number of ways, but typically it's that the family isn't happy with the replacement. The old model is dealing with feelings of depression which finally allows the goth to empathize with her.
The main issue is the source of conflict with drives the story.

The fake movie I'm going with is like Aristocats with a side of Toy Story but with a Robot maid.
She's essentially a very sheltered robot built to do very specific domestic tasks, namely taking care of the child whom she's attached to. Circumstance has her separated from her family, damaged and thrown on the bad side of town/very far from home. Being just a robot who doesn't know her way around and worse yet now she looks like a junked model she has no idea what to do.
She meets TOM 2.0'malley who she mistrusts at first because he's a junked robot but he either thinks she's also a junked robot. He shows her the ropes of being Homeless.
He introduces her to Grease Monkey, who has a horrible personality but a soft side in that she fixes up broken robots that come to her. She looks out for other abandoned things.

Maybe a slice of life show with independent episodes and no plot per-se. The first episode may be a two parter showing the family dynamic before buying her followed by her trying to adjust herself (I imagine that she is clumsy at the begining for some reason) and in the end Emmy gives the family some balance making a conection with the little girl in the process.
Maybe we could add some drama introducing a character like a grandmother/father that appears every now and then and geting along with Emmy and in one apisode said relative passes away and the family devastated for the loss has friction with Emmy because she doesn't understand the concept of human mortality.

This is an idea I had. Basically, humans recognized straightaway they had no want of machines that would ask for rights and all that and had no desire for violence, so when they saw that that was happening they simply gave them their own planet and left them to their own devices (ha) in peace to work on true robots that would actually do their jobs without trouble. The independent machines subsequently developed their own society and fell to expansion and warring against each other for a medley of petty reasons, along with of course creating more dumb slave automatons to save labor. Some decades, maybe centuries after this, the humans would send ambassadors to the robots' realms, with the series basically being a record of interviews, film, documents, etc. observing the robot society, still in the grip of petty conflict, violence, and altogether not too different from modern man.

it's a weird rpg/adventure/spaceshipfighting whatever else game by McGee and the plot sounds better written than it was actually executed but here you go
basicly in the far future, robots developed conscience and are spacefaring. Some robo mercs land on a world long forsaken by humans, a desolated garbage dump like planet therefore scrapland. In the ruins they find a supercomputer capable of perfectly replicating robots with realtime memory imprint, basicly once a robot becomes hooked into the system he becomes immortal. Then the robo-church moves in, takes over the planet, blows the mercs to pieces, and procedes to sell the immortality to the highest bidder one extra life at the time. Planet becomes an utopia with the robots building their cities over the human ruins and everything is relatively stable until shortly after you (a robot imigrant) arive the high patriarch gets murdered without getting forged back to life by the computer(his imprinted-data got stolen). News say that he was murdered by an human (who allegedly became some kind of space monster) and now the whole upper class shits themself in fear of becoming the next victim.
Later an actual human visits the planet for the sole purpose of selling the robots a malfunctioning bootleg copy of windows 13 for quick bucks which ironicaly becomes chekhov's gun later on by shutting down the whole planets information network

I've always enjoyed settings that use a robot's innate ability to interface with technology as a major plot point.
pic related turned against their masters when they tried to genocide the moon they were on. Said attempt was a missle but was stopped when their version of the iron giant stopped it at the cost of its life. Saving all lives on the moon. Then the bots, feeling guilty tried to make a society that worked with organics. It went to Hell very quickly.
