Most cartoon creators (these days at least) seem to accept that there's a good chance that there will be porn made of thier series especially if it gets popular. Some just outrigt avoid that side of the fandom alltogether, some are just flattered thier stuff is known enough that people want to make porn of it, and others activley support it and admit that they themselves have probably drawn more fucked up stuff of the show in private

I really can't understand how people can be this full of themselves. Invader Zim feels like it's more than just an alien's outlook on how stupid people on our planet are at times, and more him trying to claim that he's better than everyone else and the greatest content creator that existed. That said, I know that my favorite content creator has this one extremely obsessive fan that he's just begun ignoring altogether at this point, and when it was brought up recently due to a slight rise in controversy, he said he was fine with it, although slightly worried.
Basically what happened was that this fan drew one of their characters so much that he ended up gaining a much larger following than him, overshadowed the original source material, and many people began thinking that the fan actually owned the character. It was pretty dirty all around, especially when the guy started blocking people calling him out on it.

He was also pointing to a lot of the ship designs in the book and a lot of them looked like they were traced from the Destiny games, or just looked incredibly uninspired. I'm not knocking on simple designs, but I just found it overly obnoxious.

i can get behind this. in considering lewders vs. shippers, shippers are far worse from a creator's perspective.

lewders know it's a game and just want to rub one out. yeah maybe it makes some creators feel funny but whatever, no one takes it seriously and it's now so ubiquitous that it's an acknowledged price of doing business. possibly even an alt marketing strategy now, to make lewdable characters.

but ships are by their nature emotional, so shippers become deeply emotionally invested. and it only takes a few extremists to lose themselves in a degree of investment that warps into a religious, dogmatic subservience, leading them to shit up the entire fanbase and endlessly harass creators to canonize their ship.

but even worse than simple harassment? ships have deep STORY implications. no one cares who fucks who, canon or not, especially as we are entering an era of peak sexual freedom. but ask any screenwriter -- even seemingly superficial stories at their core are all about relationships.

so it's a toxic combination. emotional, pseudo-religious fanatics now with direct access to show runners via social media, screeching and threatening for canonical validation of their fantasies, with no consideration for how that would completely fuck up the stories that those creators are trying to tell, and ruin the show for 99.9% of the audience.

Well this is completely different case. In general it's pretty autistic to ask a creator to sign YOUR work. Usually you would bring an album or official merch with you.

I'd imagine he's tired. The people who come up to him are probably spastic fucks dressed in ridiculous, who want to tell him their favorite scene/line and how much it means to them.
