We've all seen it happen before. Post adaptations or alternative versions of characters who ended up being superior to their original versions.
ITT: adaptations of characters that are superior to the source material
Most characters from Brave and the Bold
The MCU screwed over Hank and Janet
obligatory
I like them as a happy married couple with no problems.
good taste
Based
MCD was the best version kingpin I've ever seen in live action.
The netflix guy is too much of a spa to be taken seriously
But that's not Hank and Janet
Ya that's fair
This version was 10/10 but comics Question is also completely fucking based
Yeah, the comics are great but kinda disappointing after seeing DCAU.
>DCAU voice
>Comic personality
>not a god like genius mary sue
Raimi Spider-Man
Organic web>mechanical web
>Somehow she's given her pubes the same hairstyle as her head.
They deserve to be happy in some universe, free of dumb drama
Hate how he died like a chump, but he was pretty based in STAS.
That's not what makes those characters great
Hank is still a paranoid scientist and Janet so far looked like the usual confident and capable woman, what exactly was fucked here?
>Thanos
>TT 2003 Raven
>TT 2003 Cyborg
>DCAU Batman
>Arkham Asylum Batman
>Dark Knight Returns Penguin
>DCAU John Stewart
>DCAU Mister Freeze
>EMH Hawkeye
>unironically Star-lord until they just started shitting on him In infinity war
I can't believe that show managed to turn a c-tier joke character into one of Batman's most beloved foes and one of the most sympathetic villains in fiction, period. That show was truly something.
Spiderverse's Mile Morales
Not exactly hard to do.
every single miles outside the comic books
As someone who grew up on the 90s series and later Spider-Man 3, it was very surprising to go back and the read the original symbiote issues.
Go fuck yourself with that gay Flanderization
She is cute and funny.
Literally all of them
He didn't die, did he?
I thought he just kinda...froze up like a computer.
I always like MCU Fisk for how he seems to have this sense that he’s forcing his composure. Kingpin’s never been on top because he makes himself seem like a nice guy. The only time anybody ever really viewed him as a nice guy was when he systematically turned everything else in Bullseye’s life against him and gave him an outlet for his rage.
The TAS version of Alistair Smythe got the Dcau Freeze treatment.
Comic version was just a generic evil scientist out for revenge for his generic evil scientist dad and he became a petty tyrant in his lab killing defenseless scientist he forced to work with him while they are chained to chairs.
TAS was much more sympathetic, his dad was a genuinely decent person who appeared to be killed while pressured into doing questioning stuff (capturing spider-man) in order to get funding to help Alistair with his disability by Osborn & secretly Kingpin behind him.
He works for Kingpin to get Revenge on Osborn, JJJ & Spider-Man who he feels caused the death of his dad.
The transformation into the Ultimate Slayer is eventually forced onto him (unlike the comics) when he tries to do the right thing and betray the Kingpin.
His father is revealed to be alive and so his quest for revenge is over but his dad is still in a coma and so he still is pushed to desperate criminal measures to save Spencer.
Read the New 52 Aquaman run. You are profoundly full of shit.
I wish someone else would take up this personality that wasn’t Vic Sage in the comics and act as the Question
2012 nick turtles is the best master splinter design. strong and wise. They gave him the frame closer to an adult man in his prime.
im tired of the trope that martal arts teachers suddenly become 3 ft yoda hobbits. if you train alot you can stay and in good shape even as older gentleman
>Only character that hands down got universal acclaim despite (or in spite) of being race changed because the actor was that good.
>only character that continues being white despite that one-off appearance in MTV Spider-Man
both him and danny devito did such great jobs with that character
Only good thing about that damn movie.
True
lol no
Original Jinx was pretty whatever.
I liked him but I wouldn't say he's better than comics Vic.
>unironically Star-lord until they just started shitting on him In infinity war
Gunn only treats his version of Star-Lord with some respect, every other person that touches the character just makes him into a clown. Even in the comics and cartoons when they try to imitate Gunn's version of the character it's without the stuff that makes him interesting.
The only thing I liked about Infinity Wars with Star-Lord was the scene where he shoots Gamora at her request to prevent her from telling Thanos where the soul stone was. And that whole fucking scene was added by Chris Pratt, the Russos were just going to have him fail.
Lowkey, Star-Lord should have used the Gauntlet. Just saying. It makes thematic sense.
>>EMH Hawkeye
Nah, comics Hawkeye is pretty based and EMH Hawkeye is basically just an animated comics Hawkeye
>>unironically Star-lord
>im-fucking-plying
Han Solo/Mal Reynolds Star-Lord is far superior to manchild disco stu Star-Lord
Obligatory.
>Thanos
Lmao no
Soon to be replaced by the Young Justice version
Ashley is still the better VA
He wasn't even as good as the preschoolers versions
>every turtle except Leonardo TMNT 1990
>Leonardo 2003
>DCAU Hawkgirl
>DCAU Wonder Woman
>Spider-verse Miles Morales
>MCU Kingpin
>TMNT 1990 Casey Jones
>TMNT 1990 Shredder
>EMH Captain Marvel
>MCU Yondu
Not even close
His hard drive was wiped and his power core was removed. His body was taking to the Watchtower to see what was "left in his mind" then he was never seen again.
EMH Carol Danvers was also pretty good, probably my favourite depiction. Mostly because it's one of the rare depictions where she shows any kind of personality. Helps that she was shown as competent even before getting cosmic powers.
Literally perfect.
Get fucked, comics Wonder Woman has had several great comic runs, animated universe WW is just new 52 WW which is trash, unless you’re talking about her animated movie, that was pretty good, but still not as great as some comics.
Get out
Yeah Smythe was my man back in the day.
Both of them
To this day the only version of The Joker I care about in any real capacity
To this day I don't know what kind of voodoo magic this show did to make Iron Man's shitty rogue gallery so damn good.
Fute and cunny?
