So now that the Hey Arnold, Rocko and ZIM specials are out, which was the best of them? What should get the revival treatment next?

>which was the best of them?
Easily and by far, Hey Arnold! the Jungle Movie.

Uh, I dunno, Angry Beavers? Trying to think of something that can't be "modernized"

>What should get the revival treatment next?
Hitler.

Honestly, I think the core nostalgia properties for revival were those three. I don’t see anyone legit wanting Catdog or Rocket Power back

I guess maybe Doug? You could make a Netflix special and have everyone be thirty and sad. That or

this
+
as told by ginger

>skip through the rocko one
>"huh why does bigheads son look like a girl"
>tranny pandering

i didn't even bother to check the other two specials, fuck everything...

A live action Jimmy Neutron movie. Everyone will portrayed by actors by actors except Jimmy who will be CGI similar to Alita

Zim was pretty good, hey arnold was ok and gave closure but really reminds you of the target audience.

You’re missing out on a good Zim movie

i did enjoy zim back in the day

i guess i could give it a shot thanks fellas

Disney owns Doug

They have equal rights. nick owns half, Disney owns half. if nick were to revive Doug, they would have to use their Designs and ignore all of Disney's Doug

> I don’t see anyone legit wanting Catdog back
Fuck off zoomer, CatDog was popular as fuck back then, it had toys, video games, food products, a theatrical short etc..

It had more merch than the average Nicktoon at the time besides Rugrats and SpongeBob

Attached: 1544038123893.jpg (196x273, 25K)

catdog always felt to me like a shitty "damn this cartoon again but i GUESS it's better than nothing" show back in the day

Hey Arnold > Zim > Rocko
All were enjoyable.

Samurai Jack

I fucking hated dog as a kid

I would rank it as Zim Rocko then Arnold

And I would say Aagh! Real Monsters with Ickis taking over for the Grumble as the head of the school

seriously?

What do they have?
Angry Beavers? Doug? Wild Thornberries/As Told By Ginger/Rocket Power? MLAATR? Jimmy Neutron?

Is that such a bad thing? Disney Doug wasn’t that good

Chalkzone

I personally favor the Rocko revival but...

Honestly what *could* you even revive at this point?

I mean, I hate Catdog, but despite what insists, there's no point in bringing the show back even if it was fondly remembered (which I doubt) the original one ended with an actual happy ending. It had closure. it's one of the few nicktoons that actually *had* an ending. Undoing that just feels even more mean spirited than the show was to begin with.

Same with Ginger; she had an ending. The only thing a reboot could do would be to actually explore Courtney being into Ginger.

Rugrats is going to be brought back though; it's one of two shows that made Nickelodeon *all* the fucking money, so of course it is. But from an objective viewpoint I feel like the only good way to revive the show would be to have all the babies actually be adults and have a new show be about *their* kids.

I mean, hell, Rugrats was... what, made in 91? The babies would all be pushing thirty at this point and could possibly be having kids of their own. It would also be nice to have a writing crew who can make stories without one of the creators being an insufferable shit about Angelica or Angelica 2.0 existing as an antagonist.

Jungle Movie, it was overall the best way to send off the series.

Rocko was ruined by WOKE shit and having too many grossout jokes/boomer smartphone jokes.

I don't think Invader Zim could hold a candle to either series but its revival seemed satisfying enough to its fans I guess, so its a solid runner up.

Doug was always the redheaded step child of the first generation of Nicktoons, which is why it was sold to Disney in the first place. They don't want it back and no one else really does either. Angry Beavers shot their way out of town, they're not coming back.
Anything Klasky-Csupo besides Rugrats is unlikely, and the Rugrats revival seems to be in limbo.
MLAATR was unpopular ratings wise during its run. Cyma's gang loved it and kept it on life support, but I don't know if the new management there would trust it.

Jimmy Neutron seems the most likely candidate. It was popular enough to justify having a spinoff, and its last main series episode was technically a crossover with Fairly Oddparents.

Speaking of Fairly Oddparents, I wouldn't be shocked if they brought it back for a finale movie either. Its movies and specials generally had killer ratings.

Bringing back FOP without Butch Hartman? nah

Who said without Butch Hartman? As far as I know he didn't burn any bridges on his way out.

First half was good, second half was absolute garbage. It's like Genndy didn't know how to actually end it, but he still wanted to bring it back.

jimmy neutron already had a spinoff, hehe, heHEHE, HAHAHAHAHAHA

> All these anons posting shows that should get revived
> Not a single one mentioned Ren & Stimpy
Fucking zoomers

The problem is a lot of people wouldn't want a R&S reboot without John K, and if Nick/Netflix got John K on board, then an entirely different group of people would flip their shit saying they shouldn't have hired a "pedophile".

>there's no point in bringing the show back even if it was fondly remembered
To be fair nobody wanted or was expecting a Rocko revival that was a show that ended with no fan outcry unlike Arnold and Zim.

Zim

I saw Rocko a few days ago, and it was pretty shit. There were moments like the original series, but the story feels rushed and reactions seem unconvincing, particularly when Ralph reveals he's trans and nobody reacts, when in the original series there would have been a gag or something, or the scene played for laughs, but it's 100% dead serious and nobody makes a joke about it. Also it probably would have been a bit of a joke when Ed is introduced to his new "daughter," but once again the special doesn't play it for laughs. Then it sort of chastises the audience using Rocko to say that you should just love all the reboots of your old favorite shows no matter what, because they're not for YOU. It was all just so poorly handled and the least genuine of the three reboots.

>Honestly, I think the core nostalgia properties for revival were those three
This. Nobody actually cares about Nicktoons pre Spongebob and beyond outside Rugrats and those three and a revival of Rugrats is such a bad idea. Zim was the most popular and remembered of all the 00s Nicktoons so it makes sense but I haven't seen interest in a Jimmy Neutron revival outside people spouting memes or anything from that era because there wasn't a really popular series from that era until fucking Loud House.

>Zim was the most popular and remembered of all the 00s Nicktoons
FOP was incredibly popular and beat Spongebob in the ratings back then BUT nobody really cares about it anymore certianly not enough to want it back given how much like Rugrats it was milked dry and ran itself through the dirt to the point where nobody really wants anything to do with it. Otherwise you're right (yes Avatar wasn't as popular as FOP and its merch line sold poorly) nobody really cares about that era.

Sure, Zim was so popular that it got cancelled less than 2 years and was ignored by Nick for years

>ignored by Nick for years
You do realize that Nick kept pestering Jhonen for a revival for years right?

either bait or underage

>Sure, Zim was so popular that it got cancelled less than 2 years
And Nick still push merchandise for it. The DVDs sold incredibly well that it was re-released several times and they tested waters of bringing it bac as far back as 2005 when they aired the rest of the 2nd season episodes on Nicktoons which gained high ratings and was pursuing a revival but Vasquez declined them. Zim was a cult favorite for years and is more remembered than Avatar, Danny Phantom, Chalkzone, Jimmy Neutron, etc.

Arnold was probably my favorite cartoon back in the day, so it was really nice to see closure on that. I did feel like the special itself wanted to be longer though. There were a lot of characters to juggle, and the pacing felt a bit rushed at times because of it. Still glad it was made though.

Rocko was fine? I wasn't personally a big fan of the show back in the day, as I found it kind of unpleasant to look at, but seemed to capture the feeling it was going for and had a decent moral regarding those hung up on what they've lost back in the 90s.

Zim was easily my favorite as an actual movie. Loved hearing all the old voice actors again back in full force, the few sentimental moments were unexpected but surprisingly nice, and even if the art style changed up a bit they clearly had a blast with the animation. It was a lot of fun.

Attached: ECFQfYiUwAA3rFN.jpg (1280x723, 66K)

Hey Arnold was the best of the movies, but Zim would be the best choice for a revival.

Hey Arnold's Jungle Movie was great and wrapped up the biggest plot threads of the series - the question of Arnold's parents and Helga admitting her feelings for Arnold. I worry any attempt at reviving Hey Arnold though would end up being a disaster riddled with studio meddling and obnoxious agendas. I'd rather leave the series on an incredibly high note. Zim is better cut out for a revival just because it's so weird and detached from what's "normal" for cartoons that there's really nothing for a meddling studio to latch onto.

>The problem is a lot of people wouldn't want a R&S reboot without John K,
You do realize that APC exists right? That was ALL John K and it was fucking terrible and his recent output is even worse. At this point I doubt anyone wants anything to do with him and much like Rugrats there's not much of an outcry to bring it back.

>is more remembered than danny phantom
Really? I get that they are from different eras, but i remember zim having a pretty niche audience where as danny phantom was talked about alot during its run. Thats how it was among my peers, anyway

Its weird DP was never hugely popular like FOP but it retained a fairly big fandom even if there's not a push for it to be rebooted mostly because of Butch was the reason why it turned to shit.

I'd be excited to see an announcement of The Patakis being made, but I have my doubts that Nick would ever let them go as dark as they wanted to go with it, considering that Helga's mother going to AA meetings was apparently a plot point.

Attached: 98347538.jpg (640x853, 54K)

Lol.

Catdog was shilled hard, but no one actually liked it.

Avatar shits on Zim, fuck off

cat dog fucking sucked dude.

It was shilled but no one actually likes it.

adult cartoon party killed any interest in R&S

>"pedophile".
drop the airquotes john

i liekd catd og :3

Red and Stimpy deserves to be left in the 90s

Zim felt like an actual episode that the writers wanted to make, but couldn't. That's the only way a 'special' would have been any good. They decided 'Hey, remember that thing we used to work on? Let's just do a bit more of that', and it was good. Everyone loved it. It's proof the humor is ageless and the show could have been made basically at any time, because the people working on it still got it.

Rocko was preachy crap about accepting "progress", an undefined and ill-conceived notion which I'm sure they would completely walk back on if history started to turn against their beliefs as it has dozens of times before.
If the special came out during a massive depression where we're eating street animals and our own shoes; the message of this special would have rung completely hollow, out of touch, and downright stupid.
If your message about 'accepting the new' is only applicable if it's time-locked to one specific part in history, that ruins the message that your special about 'change' was trying to accomplish.

I never liked Hey Arnold.

No, it needs to be dragged to the 2010's so people remember why it deserves to be left in the 90's.

>BUT nobody really cares about it anymore certianly not enough to want it back

Time heals all wounds. FoP would work best as a revived one shot special like Jungle Movie just to finish the series off and closure it. Age up the characters slightly, and go the Channel Chasers subplot of Timmy coming to terms with having to lose his fairies as the main focus. Flash forward to those Timmy/Tootie look-a-like offsprings having the fairies, some send offs for other big characters like Vicky and Crocker, and put on a bow on it. Fucking done ez. That was pretty much what the first live action movie was intended to be anyway, but failed because why the fuck would anyone want it live action...

Also, Rugrats did have a revival announced 2018, however there has been little to no news about it since.

Zim is like the patron saint of Hot Topic and Tumblr

The original pilot for Invader Zim felt 90s as fuck which is why it was luckily changed and now (so far at least) it's timeless, unlike Rocko or Ren & Stimpy which aged horribly.
And I guess Hey Arnold as well but I hated Helga so much I don't plan on ever watching any reboots of it.

>I get that they are from different eras
Danny aired 3 years after Zim

Rewatch it, Helga is actually the best character.

Waifufags want xj9 back so that

>Tumblr
No, that's Doctor Who (which they even reference in their original "-tan". It used to be FiM:MLP though.

Where can I watch the Hey Arnold movie?

>Zim was the most popular and remembered of all the 00s Nicktoons
Bruh, Danny Phantom's fanbase cucks the fuck out of the Zimcels. It has twice as much shit on FFN as Zim.

I'll be merciful and not even mention FOP which cucked Zim out of existence, it premiered the same day but its really a 90s Hanna-Barbera cartoon in spirit at least the early parts.

I'd watch a mlaatr special if it took place 20 years later where everyone's an adult but she's still a teen.

Wolverine And The X-Men

>A special about all of Jenny's human friends getting old/having families and she's stuck watching it all happen because she's just a robot and can't age or get sick
I'm not sure people would like that.

>Invader Zim
>more remembered than Avatar, DP and Jimmy Neutron
Zimfags are delusional, fuck off

I'd love to see a Spongebob revival. I understand that the movie back then was the perfect send-off, but they had such a good run of episodes, imagine if they just kept going and actually produced new episodes

Attached: Duke-Spongebob_01.jpg (727x438, 122K)

It's literally the original show though.
I remember one episode she was forced to go to preschool because she was only two years old. She was also #maximumcope throughout the show and most likely had robot depression.

>Danny Phantom's fanbase cucks the fuck out of the Zimcels
Wow not even close. Zim was kept alive for years after cancellation thanks to how crazy obsessive its fanbase was about it so much infact that for its 10th anniversary it got a convention with the old staff and crew in attendance and this contained tow more times after. People mostly forgot about DP after it ended or even before then after Bob left and Butch fucked everything up.

>but its really a 90s Hanna-Barbera cartoon in spirit at least the early parts.
So FOP was always shit.

Man its like people want to forgot shit like this happened.

Attached: d46yn2e-de13f237-2cad-48ed-bdda-f5af5c08cdc7.jpg?token=eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJzdWIi (900x791, 346K)

Arnold Special- Sentimental and felt like a nice closure to the series.

Rocko Special- It was ok, kinda of bland but felt nice seeing the characters again.

Invader ZIM Special- I had a blast and my top pick for the best one out of the three. It took me back to being a devilish 12 year old again and the animators definitely had fun on it. I wouldn't mind seeing more ZIM, but that won't probably happen because Jhonen gets too emotionally drained working IZ. At least the comics exists.

The only think I could being revived would be Angry Beavers? I dunno.

>FiM:MLP
>tumblr having a -tan
Are you from a different planet?

Not him but Jimmy neutron is only remembered as a meme.

> Zimfags unironically think this
If it was sooo popular, why wasn't it in any of the Nicktoons Unite games then? Even Tak and the Power of Juju is in it

Attached: dd0oxp9-39e24f56-d621-4f34-9a83-c50376dfcf0e.png (521x750, 992K)

>Invader Zim
>more remembered than Avatar, DP and Jimmy Neutron
Yes. That's the reason it got a revival before any of them.

Yeah but no one ever went on a murder spree because of Invader Zim but someone did for Danny Phantom.
Checkmate, Zimtards.

>90s HB
>shit
>Dexters Lab, og PPG, Johnny Bravo, etc
Ziimers confirmed retarded

Its kinda true, Zim is huge among the roasties of livejournal which is the precursor to tumblr

>why wasn't it in any of the Nicktoons Unite games then?

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 336K)

I'm pretty certain it was in globs of doom actually

Gir was in attack of the toybots console and Zim was in the handheld version. And Zim and dib were in globs of doom, and I guess volcano island had a reference to Zim

Also holy fuck attack of the toybots had the best roster by far. Fucking xj9 and Rocko

Gir was playable in Attack of the Toybots

Before tumblr became popular for Homestuck and the megathree (Supernatural, Dr. Who, and something else) it was really popular with bronies and pegasisters. They kept it alive by making their original -tan have Rarity's hair but then referenced one of the old doctor who character's for the scarf.

Attached: tedsfdsgs.png (555x654, 327K)

You’re underestimating DP fans autism.
They’re the bigger group, they produce more niche fan content, and they’re generally louder on social media.

Zim seems to be on the cusp of a fanbase revival, but DP has been going full autismo since their show was cancelled.

Attached: 15F439D3-B500-4EC1-BDD8-ABFFFFEB307F.jpg (400x296, 60K)

>Yeah but no one ever went on a murder spree because of Invader Zim but someone did for Danny Phantom.
Yeah thank god for that as autistic and edgy Zimtards are they never did anything like that.

>Zim seems to be on the cusp of a fanbase revival, but DP has been going full autismo since their show was cancelled.

Both show's fanbases have been going full autismo mode since they got cancelled.

Normies dont remember some green autistic alien from some edgy kids show.

Everyone knows and remembers DP, JN and Avatar. Especially fucking Avatar, you can't convince me Zim is more popular/remembered than Avatar

Danny phantom fanfic is basically a self sustaining nation at this point. They want little to do with the lore of the show, so they create crazy ass shit like this.

jayrockin.tumblr.com/tagged/ghost-physics

It’s genuinely admirable in some weirdass way.

I'll say that post cancellation Zim has gotten enough attention that Nick brought it back twice in the comics and the movie but they've mostly ignored DP and before he left Nick Butch actually tried to bring it back several times but got rejected every time. So yeah DP may be more autistic but I guess it wasn't enough for Nick to give it any attention and now it'll never come back with recent events.

Nick was so impressed with the Jimmy Neutron pilot that they decided to make it into a movie which was nomited for an Oscar, fuck outta here Zimtard

Rocket Power just have it be about a pushing 30 Otto who's just a burned out loser thats coping with the fact that he a complete failure because he expected to make a fortune in extreme sports without realizing that it was just a fad that nobody has given a shit about since 2006 at the latest, meanwhile Reggie and Sam have actual careers while twister went gay

>People mostly forgot about DP after it ended or even before then after Bob left and Butch fucked everything up.
First, I think you mean Steve Marmel, not "Bob".

Second, absolutely false. Go to any one of Hartman's youtube videos and you'll see people clamoring for Danny Phantom to come back. Drawing Danny Phantom shit was the main reason his channel got so big in the first place, he had almost zero online presence before like 2017, and even in the places he did (his old forum, twitter) the Dannyfags STILL begged him to revive the series.

The last DP season is not nearly as panned among normie fans as it is here. Leave the Yea Forums echo chamber just for once in your life, please.

>So FOP was always shit.

I was referring more to how it relates to the mid 90s material on Cartoon Network, in particular Dexter's Lab and Johnny Bravo (both of which Butch worked on at one point or another). I know that particular cartoon makes Zimcels seethe, but it was unquestionable more successful and influential than Invader Zim was.

Don't @ me with more of the same bleating about merchandise, one or two conventions attended by a large high school football game amount of people, or your moderately successful but still overshadowed by Rocko revival please.

>Everyone knows and remembers DP, JN and Avatar.
You keep believing in that

The only one I would argue is less popular than zim is Jimmy fucking Neutron like are you fucking serious???
The show looked like ass. The only reason people remember it because it's memeable.
DP just has a big cult following since Zim's cult following disappeared for a decade because of how cringey they were. Avatar is no. 2 (second to Spongebob) though.

danny phantom is half and half, I'll give you avatar, but fucking jimmy neutron? really?

>you can't convince me Zim is more popular/remembered than Avatar
But this can!

Attached: 67C33040-FFA7-409B-B098-0F980A61B914.jpg (450x450, 44K)

Zim was imho better than the old show.
Rocko was as good as the old show but feels dated. Yeah gross shit was the hot shit in early Nick but it's boring now.
I never cared for Arnold so I skipped.

When you go back to your timeline can i come with you?

Attached: 1566476815962.png (590x725, 303K)

I see no normies talking about DP. That shit is restricting to autismos at this point. JN is also only remembered as a meme now given that Planet Sheen bombed hard. People truly do overrate Avatar's success, it got the numbers but it didn't compared to the giants back then and S3 had vastly smaller numbers in comaprison due to the leaks, the merchandise performed so badly that the line was cancelled and it was only the strong DVD sales keeping it afloat and oc course there's no point bringing up Korra and how poorly that was received.

jayrockin.tumblr.com/post/161669936293/ive-spent-the-past-few-months-attempting-to
what the fuck

>Worst Nicktoon of its time
> revived with mc being a Bam Margera style train wreck
Sure I'll bite

I'm a big RML fan and I have to say I was not disappointed in SC. Ofc the shit ain't gonna be "perfect". The last show was TWO DECADES AGO.

RML

Reminder to all Zimfags
>Fairly OddParents and Invader Zim debut the same day on March 2001
>FOP went on to become a huge hit and the second longest Nicktoon of all time
>Zim gets cancelled after 1 and a half season, leading to many episodes being cancelled in production
>Jhonen is still bitter over this and has a grudge against Butch Hartman

Butch couldn't even remember the name of the show when he saw Vasquez at ComicCon, it's that forgettable.

Attached: 1529440067883.jpg (1112x834, 266K)

Hey Arnold was the best. I honestly wouldn't mind Ahh! Real Monsters to get a movie or revival.

Seeing how many are talking about it, I think the honest question here is that does anyone in this thread "actually" want a Danny Phantom special?

I don't think Jhonen is that great of a writer so I'm fine with this.

I wonder if the Zim fandom produced any mass shooters who wanted to die to get alien genitals.

If you really wanted to make the Zimzims seethe then you should just compare Butch and Jhonen's net worth.

>B-B-B-BUT MUH HOT TOPIC T-SHIRTS!!!

Not yet, but on Sept 20 it will.

Ren & Stimpy where Stimpy gets me too'd

Go back to your christian streams for children, butch.

>Go to any one of Hartman's youtube videos
Thanks for the laugh. Given the fact that Hartman's channel isn't even remotely among the most popular on the platform you using that as a frame of reference only serves to prove my point. Let's provide some fact shall well;

Zim got enough notice that it kept getting support years after its cancellation. Nick always showed interest in bringing it back but Jhonen shot them down repeatedly.

Back when he was working at Nick Bitch tried to bring it back but Nick shot him down every time and outside appearances inc crossover titles it was mostly ignored by Nick just like everything not named Spongebob for years. The most attention the series got recently was for the wrong reasons.

>The last DP season is not nearly as panned among normie fans as it is here.
It is. It got shitty ratings as well. DP ha sno normie fans left since those people moved on its only the autismos that are left.

>I know that particular cartoon makes Zimcels seethe, but it was unquestionable more successful and influential than Invader Zim was.
It wasn't though hence why it was actually cancelled twice through its run.

>Don't @ me with more of the same bleating about merchandise, one or two conventions attended by a large high school football game amount of people, or your moderately successful but still overshadowed by Rocko revival please.
Okay now why are you lying so fucking much? These were all a huge deal. Enter the Florpus got the most praise and discussion out of all the Nick revivals thus far.

Imagine that any media that features something outside of straight white is considered pandering. Ffs, it was one character and they didn't even make that big of a deal out of it beside his dad being put off by it and I think that was just to do the "I have no son" call back.

Hey Arnold >= Zim
Zim was a really good solid episode of Zim, it's the most pure of the bunch.
Hey Arnold I feel biased for because it's a good special and it's a cathartic release. This is what Craig wanted the theatrical movie to be, this was the big finish for the show and he had to wait like 15 damn years to do it.
Rocko feels like the creators wanted to do some message about revivals in general, about commoditizing nostalgia, the value of original creators, and accepting changes instead of wanting purity of what was. Yes, Ralph is the obvious focal point for it but you see less people talk about Rocko's inability to move on from the Fat Heads, try so damn hard to get the original creator to make the fat head special and then spurg out the moment he saw the baby and try to rally people against the change until quickly changing his mind, clearly a not so subtle message that they want the audience to do the same when something changes in their franchises
It's a muddy message that tries too hard in some places, even if i do mostly agree with what it's trying to say

Considering John K was metoo'd, I doubt it'd happen. And even if it was to happen, it would likely come out 6+ years after announcement.

Learn to draw again Butch lmao and color theory for fucks sake

Your not fooling anyone Kuro

That was most Nicktoons to me honestly. I think the only ones I actually watched other than just because they were on was Rugrats, Doug, and Hey Arnold.

Easy. Bob Camp.

Well shit. Which supermarket chain should I stay out of that day?

>Kuro
Rent fucking free

>going to bat for hartman
you're a faggot
and so is whatever jackass that prevents me from uploading images

>Zim got a movie revival with more interest and praise than anything FOP has had within the last 13 years.

Should have quit after Channel Chasers Butch at least the series would have went out on top and be fondly remembered instead of people saying that it was never fucking good to begin with.

Attached: 1519398457000.png (774x774, 388K)

>Angry Beavers shot their way out of town, they're not coming back.
This is really vague, what are you talking about? Mitch Schauer actually had an idea in mind for an Angry Beavers reboot, the possibility of a reboot for the show has been going around for multiple years, just no recent update on that.

The one located in Area 51

Rocko holds up ten times better than spork XD Alien man, what the fuck are you talking about?

Creators always had continuations in mind doesn't mean that Nick actually has plans to bring it back or even care for that matter.

Fuck off that show was boring as shit. Changed the channel every time it came on.
Yakkity Yak should've gotten a movie, not that Australian piece of shit.

The Jungle Movie was sentimental and a good enough ending but was missing something. The Arnold worship in particular was real odd.
Zim was just more Zim - you like Zim you get more of it. Freely admit that I'm willing to listen to Richard Steven Horvitz in his Zim voice read the phone book so I'm pretty easily amused in that respect.
Haven't bothered with Rocko after seeing some of the jokes - like the Starbucks one- seems really dated and I don't wanna waste my time.

The humor doesnt revolve around Gir as much as it used to though, you'd see that if you actually watched the movie

>Given the fact that Hartman's channel isn't even remotely among the most popular on the platform
His Danny Phantom videos have millions of views, much more than any Invader Zim videos.

I keep hearing about how much more popular IZ is than DP but I keep seeing no proof other than anecdotes and hearsay. I'm not interested about what you and your autistic facebook friends are saying on private channels, I want numbers.

But two of those shows got sequel series way before Netflix Zim wad even being made

Despacito is the most viewed video on Youtube. Doesn't mean that Luis Fonsi is more popular a singer than than Beyonce.

And both of which flopped. Sheen was also a spin-off not a sequel

I'm well aware of this fact rest assured, I wasn't just referring to that though, the Nickelodeon T*mblr and NickALive news blog posted about the possibility as early as last year

As much as I like the rocko, IZ has to be the best. It was just fun to watch all the way through.

Look up Scott Dyleski.

>I keep hearing about how much more popular IZ is than DP but I keep seeing no proof other than anecdotes and hearsay.

>Invader Zim got several DVD re-releases, a plethora of merch which kep interest for years up until its 10th anniversary where it got three conventions and finally a comic book series in 2015

>Danny Phantom got.......a video on its creator's YT channel doing a sketch of them 5 years older.

Attached: 1529032997221.jpg (783x586, 141K)

Zim was excellent.
Hey Arnold was good, but felt a little rushed in the end.
Rocko's was decent, but its message felt a bit forced.

Danny Phantom was cancelled because Butch overspend the budget too many times and it was like 4x as much to produce as Fairly Oddparents. Season 3's ratings had nothing to do with it, in fact, the DP Crew already knew the series was going to end at s3 very early on in its production.

>It was shilled but no one actually likes it.
It was the Nick equivalent of Sneed.

Original shows, bucko, not revivals

Ah yes funny pepperoni spork xD robot sure is better than actual thought out satire and surrealism mixed with a dash of classic slapstick. Sure showed me.

> Zim is more remembered than Jimmy Neutron
Fuck off, JN had a ton of memorable characters, a movie, video games, that Nicktoon Blast ride, a crossover with FOP, comics, a spin-off and a lot more. Zim is shit-tier compared to Jimmy.

youtube.com/watch?v=ltUiJt_fUyk

More people know about these compared to "LOLSORANDOMHUMOR" that Zim had.

Cool horseshit bro

How about they animate Bye-Bye Beavers?
They already have the full episode in voice clips.

Still shows that they were way higher in nicks list than Unvader Zim.

>penelope

>Falling for the FOP vs IZ rage bait.

Shame on all of you.

Cool horseshit bro

Zimfags have this massive little brother complex toward Fairly Oddparents for some reason.

Yes because Zim lives on in various forms of media while JN is dead and buried.

Reminder, the only reason why Jimmy Neutron was popular was because it was the first tv show to be entirely CGI.

>Still shows that they were way higher in nicks list than Unvader Zim.
>Jhonen has been in talks for pbringing back the series for well over a decade

Okay faggot

I think bitch fartman is shit dude, but do continue

>spout bullshit
>expect a well detailed response

Your first mistake

>Not one Zimfag brought up FOP
>In fact nobody even brought up FOP until Butchfags started coming in

Zimfags just thinks their show is the hot shit, saying its more remembered than fucking avatar, lmao.

Do you seriously think a tryhard youtube video posted by the bible thumper in his 50s has been getting more attention than a fucking Netflix movie? I don't see a Danny Phantom movie anywhere right about now

Not to mention Invader Zim had several projects passed around for years that worked to try and bring the show back and got multiple conventions revolved around the franchise

Where did you get such a quality rip?

Bruh Netflix will air anything.

Please do tell me Zim was more popular than Rugrats, Ren and Stimpy, and more. I'll wair for your proof.

It will die off in a month. It's already starting to taper off actually, most of the threads today are just waifufags wanking to Gaz.

It's more like Butchfags have an inferiority complex.

reboot and beast wars you fucking retard
although I suppose jimmy neutron was the 1st nicktoon to be cgi

>saying its more remembered than fucking avatar,
Yeah it is. Are you going to quote imdb now?

Zim >> Arnold >>>>> Rocko

Pfft. Not it's not. I'm mostly seeing people being horny for cartoon aliens.

And it should stay that way

>It will die off in a month.
>Still 1# on Netflix for cartoons

Okay

I teleported the proof inside your ass but its huge so you gonna have to dig trough it to find it

no it isn't delsuional zimtard. Nobody outside of this retarded site remembers IZ. Avatar will always be more memorable than lol so randumb xD green alien man.

I hope it does stay that way.

>Nobody outside of this retarded site remembers IZ
Yeah that's why it got a revival movie right?

You could add Rugrats. But that was milked by Nick to nearly Spongebob levels.

But I'd watch an special with them being in their late 20s or early 30s. Just like classic Rugrats when the Grandpa told his stories

>people are actually replying to Hartman fags bait
I thought we learned about this last time

>Nobody outside of Yea Forums remembers IZ
what

Have you actually played Globs of Doom, dumbass?

Attached: PlungerZim.jpg (1280x720, 66K)

Imagine being so unimportant of a Nicktoon that your big and "massively hyped" revival gets exiled to Kikeflix due to the channel having no faith in it yet you double down and use mental gymnastics to convince yourself this is some sort of victory because it finally happened after a nearly two decade wait. Imagine being so delusional in your fanhood for a cartoon that lasted two seasons before it was casted into the abyss by a yellow sponge and his green and pink fairy friends, that you think it was actually more popular and iconic than cartoons that defined the channel that decade like Danny Phantom, Avatar, Fairly Oddparents, and Jimmy Neutron.

Imagine being an Unvader Zam fan.

Attached: Laughing Whores.gif (720x544, 362K)

Looks like people haven't learned from this.

Arnold because it gave closure to the series and served as a good conclusion. The other two don't really add anything worth much to their respective series, basically just extra episodes.

Rugrats is getting a new series and a live-action/CGI movie next

Both Arnold and Rock said everything they had left in their chest, but Zim still has more to say.

>FOP
>influential
Kek. Jhonen's style has gone beyond Western sensibilities and even Nips rip off his style.

>Imagine that any media that features something outside of straight white is considered pandering.
When you include a minority for the sake of making that minority feel good, then yeah it is the very definition of pandering.
>Ffs, it was one character and they didn't even make that big of a deal out of it
It's central to the entire plot of the special after it's done making uninspired jokes about the 2010's. Without it the plot would be completely different.

Rocko dabbed on /pol/fags so it's good by default

Florpus served as a good revival and a good conclusion and unlike Jungle Movie actually felt loyal to its source of material in terms of tone and style.

Attached: SpottedGlossyGangesdolphin-max-1mb.gif (280x158, 816K)

based, also add on to the fact that zimtards thinks a few shitty cons with 6 people = the rest of the world knows about IZ.

Like for fucks sakes not even Nickelodeon aired this shit on their on network

Not him but the mid 00s was full of bold line sharp angle FOP clones.

Its not easy being blind I see

>the mid 00s was full of bold line sharp angle FOP clones
That shit existed since the 50's and 60's . Every show during the early 00s was aping that style since PPG popularized it again.

>unlike Jungle Movie actually felt loyal to its source of material in terms of tone and style.
Honestly, I’d consider it the other way around, florpus felt like a modernization, jungle movie was a more straightforward continuation.

I liked Florpus but I don't really see how it's a conclusion of anything. I also wouldn't say it was all that loyal to the source material in terms of style or tone. The style (and subsequently the tone) is way lighter than the original series. Probably still more faithful in terms of tone than the Jungle movie though I'll give you that.

Avatar is still goibg strong put comics and novels has 98% rating zim is over so avatar is just as good as zim

Looks like its easy for you to be retarded though

>No mention of Duckman in this entire thread.
You insane ignorant fuckers.

Attached: 1546278509427.png (900x1200, 972K)

>Avatar is still going strong
Nobodt cares about the comics or novels. Korra ended on a wet fart and you're starting to see more people point out its flaws

You obviously have experience with retardation.

Oh shit is it coming back?

Considering the dumb shit you're posting I certainly do

>Half the thread is bait
Does Yea Forums just not care much for Rocko?

Yes.

It got pushed hard. I remember thinking it was ok, same for my friends but we never got excited for it

The humor and tone is largely the same but Jhonen had enough self conscious to realize that certain elements of the TV series did not held up as well and given that his own outlook has changed since he was 22 that the series would change alongside it. Yeah its not as nihilistic and edgy but its still Zim. Jungle Movie had the same issue as the Hey Arnold movie had in which it didn't feel like the TV series in terms of tone and setting and was far too generic but was good enough to make it stand out as oppose to being completely forgettable.

Avarar is way better. Then zim you should have said they where = saying zim is better is funny

Nobody was really asking for a Rocko revival to begin with. Static Cling was a welcomed surpise though given how it felt so much like the oiginal despite being 22 years after later.

>Avarar is way better.
It only has one good season.

R&S fans disliked the Games episodes though.

Jimmy Neutron only seems to be popular because it's popular with the ironic shit poster people. FOP kind of has a bad wrap due to seasonal rot, adding Poochies every season and Butch Hartman with is failed pray away the gay streaming service. People were happy when FOP ended for real a few years ago. It will be a few years before people start feeling nostalgic for it

>WOKE shit
Leave your room, your desk reeks
>having too many grossout jokes
It's Rocko, they always had that, if you don't like it, why did you watch it
>boomer smartphone jokes
For like a minute in a half when they land back on Earth

I mean, it’s not so much that nobody cares, there’s just not much to discuss.

I didn't like the Hey Arnold special very much due to the art style feeling too different and some of the voice actors not sounding the same.

He was messing with authorities

I haven't seen the Arnold one, but between the other two the Rocko one was wayyyyyy better. The Zim one felt unnecessary and hardly any of the humor landed for me.

Is Jhonen Vasquez gay?

>Rocko one was wayyyyyy better
I too voted for Hillary

Hey Arnold was cool to see get a special after the creators interviews on what he wanted to do.

Rocko was unexpected and I had mild interest in it but the moment I saw junk like those Netflix tweets about lgbtq super positive stuff I lost a ton of interest because it sounded forced. Plus it really didnt need anything more than the original series.

Zim was amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed it all the way through, and made me want more. Plus the series ended too soon.

So did most people.

That was more so because of Dexter, PPG and Samurai Jack

most people I know just flat out didn't vote because both options were dogshit

>Minute and half
Bitch, Filburt and Heffer all they do in the movie is just mess with technology

It's not a Nicktoon but ya, I'd adore a conclusion

...

>Not an episode based around every one else growing up, while Wakeman actually goes ahead and makes XJ-10

It would be a bit morbid, but XJ 1 through 8 got replaced, so I can't see why Jenny wouldn't also be replaced, especially if everyone else is leaving her behind. It would definetly be an intresting take on growing up.

Attached: XJ-10-Blueprints.png (312x440, 214K)

My memory of Angry Beavers is hazy at best. Has anyone watched it recently? Is it worth a revisit? I do have some nostalgia for it.

>Butch Hartman walks up and shakes your hand, his rock hard calloused palms squeezing your soft playdoh digits into a pulp
>"Hey bro, how has that Unvader Zed cartoon been working out for ya?"
>you try to speak up, "A-a-actually its called Inva-" but he interrupts you with a hard slap on the back that nearly makes you spit up your last glass of soi milk like an infant being burped
>"Hahaha, always the charmer, my boy Johanson! Hey, where is your wife and kids? You are married by now, right?"
>Butch Hartman pulls aside his near identical looking daughters, the oldest of which is nearly as old as you are and is already running a clothing company that makes more than the heavily taxed royalties your Zim merchandise makes
>Butch looks you right in your shifty little eyes
>"What's the matter? Wouldn't you want to fuck one of my daughters? You're not one of those queer cartoonists like Rebecca Sugar are you?"
>by now you just want to crawl under the nearby completely deserted Adventure Time con booth and die
>"Haha, just kidding man. Hey, would you look at that, its almost time for my Danny Phantom panel. Why don't you join me over there just like the rest of the fans of your cartoon are doin-"
>suddenly, gunshots ring out
>Butch pushes you into the line of fire, grabs his daughters and takes off
>the last thing you see is some string bean white kid with a poorly drawn image of Ember on his shirt bearing down the sights of his rifle directly at your forehead...

You can do a special of the "Bye Bye Beavers" finale the creator wanted to make

So basically you're a miserable fuck that can't handle other people enjoying things. Thanks for killing your career dumbass.

the other two dont have any lgbt stuff
some people may meme about Dib having two dads, but it's not what you think

You can enjoy whatever the fuck you want, just don't shove it in my face when I don't want to see it.
>Thanks for killing your career dumbass.
Not even sure what you mean by this

Why are you surprised the special had a tranny in it? The fucking original show had already had at least two trans characters in it already.

No it didn't

I always believe Duckman is a unofficial Nicktoon.
Maybe because of the bizarreness of the series but...
C'mon man, it's 2019 & Viacom still fucked up

I'm getting real sick of you libtards twisting everything to fit your agenda

meaning you will do nothing and mean absolutely nothing for the rest of your life.

Hey Arnold>Invader Zim>>>>>>>>Rocko.

I was not much of a fan of Rocko so don't tame my word seriously, I just didn't like it.

Kek

>109579086
If I'm remembering right, in an interview Mitch Schauer talks about the idea of making a reboot of Angry Beavers which takes place in the future- Norbert settles down and has a family with Treeflower while Daggett is still a bachelor and ends up crashing things. One of his daughters (I forget which) had the idea of calling it "Angry Beavers Respooted", I can look for the interview if anyone would like to give it a listen

>unofficial Nicktoon
Suppose it is one of the few KS shows that wasn't on Nick

He usually tries to seduce other men while doing it, so yes?

ROCKET POWER
TITO AND RAY MARRY

where did you get that from? because there's a trans character in it? so it must be like Hillary? how simple minded are you?

>Florpus served as a good revival and a good conclusion
>conclusion
how was it in any way a conclusion?
It was a nice revival, and a welcome return, but it didn't conclude ANYTHING.

Zim is still on Earth
Zim, while now aware that he's not as much of a priority as he thought, still holds the delusion that his mission is real and the Tallest care about him in any was
Dib still hasn't accomplished anything as far as proving his beliefs
we got NOTHING of beloved one-off characters like Lard Nar, the rest of The Resisty, and Tak
we still have no actual appearance of Miyuki and Spork
we still have no Red or Purple backstory (we know they used to be elites)

It was a great special, but it concluded fuck all.

>message of Rocko movie was that a good number of people are overly resistant to change
>multiple anons completely miss the message and prove it's point by getting mad over a fictional cartoon character deciding to change his gender

This will never not be funny.

Sounds neat

Hells was a manga existed around the same time as IZ fuck you

>giving a fuck about Tak
I am bitter about the Resisty.

BUT PEOPLE EXISTING IS POLITICAL
WHY DO THEY CAN DO THAT?
ARRRGHHHHH

None of those things would work in canon. This is a better conclusion than the cancelled eps.
Go write your own fanfic if you think you can do better.

Trust me, nobody missed the message with how much it beats you over the head with it, people just don't agree with it and rightly so.

I guess Gumball's dad, Richard is also trans, considering he, too had a female alter ego?
>being gay and a crossdresser for gags in a cartoon=trans
I don't think so, buddy

Hey Arnold by a landslide.

Rocko's was just a special that was okay. Invader Zim had good points but a lot of lows.
Hey Arnold was okay-good and also had the benefit of giving us the definitive conclusion to Arnold's story and giving us a proper "finale" feeling, adding to the overall quality of the movie.

yeah, being a trans person has to suck, man. Not only are you the most victimized and vulnerable in society, but you're also a walking, talking political message. Must be crazy.

you don't agree with what exactly? the thing you're continuing to prove is a highly valid point? lol. Just admit you don't like trans people, and even ONE existing in a show you like ruins said show.

We already had one. and it was awful

Florpus was flat continuation of Invader Zim and excelled at that. Was the best of the three.

Jungle Movie was both a continuation but also a nostalgia tribute. It finished and unfinished plotline but also reveled in the nostalgia factor.

Rocko didn't necessarily NEED to be revived as it didn't need a continuation, but was ultimately a tribute to a 90's look into modern times.

Not all change is good. As an example that your pozzed libtard brain probably won't reflexively reject, I would say that the erosion of civil liberties and rights in the decades following 9/11 wasn't a good thing.

Invader Zim should definitely get a new series. The end of the movie kinda set up a new status quo that a new series would follow nicely. I liked the show a lot as a kid, and i was surprised when the movie had the same actors from the original mexican dub that i watched as a kid. Hearing those voices was nostalgic for me and id love to see more adventures for zim, its a shame the original show got cancelled so soon because it was great for its time

Attached: 1566679427178.png (558x706, 257K)

Invader Zim

Attached: 1550561924389.png (1271x786, 626K)

notice how Tak was last on the list

I would've put 777 on there, but we managed to get some of him in the comics

Wasn't the rumors before the movie that Hey Arnold was picked up for a season 6 ?

I can count three things it concluded:
>Zim actually took over Earth for a couple days
>The Tallest and most of the Irken armada are fucking dead, sparing the universe of their conquering
>Dib got the support of his father and made some degree of peace with Gaz

one of them was made by a person who is able to grow and change as an artist
the others feature a half assed story and a tranny

rocket power reboot would work great on adult swim

Do we REALLY want a Rugrats revival?
Or at least one that isn't a spiritual successor to All Grown Up?

i want porn producer tommy
YES.

Zim was the best by far

Attached: ECTSbCRU0AEUmO8.jpg (950x578, 78K)

Agreed, but it was probably Nick insisting (aka forcing) Butch to keep it going, thus we got FOP of today, many characters cut, unfunny jokes repeated and the stupidity of characters going up bit by bit.

Yeah, alright,

It just didn't feel like a conclusion to me, it felt more like a gateway for more

>The Tallest and most of the Irken armada are fucking dead, sparing the universe of their conquering
debatable

there's still a lot of questions, I feel like thats why it doesn't feel like much of a conclusion

Like what is the Irken empire going to do after all this? Are The Tallest really dead? What is the process of choosing a Tallest? How did Red and Purple both get picked? How did Dib initially get into the paranormal? Where is Dib's mom? etc.

Wouldn't a new Tallest get picked after Red and Purple die?

zim but i prefer hey arnold. rocko did exactly what it knew what it was doing. our reaction was predicted in the show itself. its not good though.

>How did Red and Purple both get picked?
seriously?

Attached: 1506091865654.jpg (573x415, 141K)

Both DS and console did. Console had XJ9, Stimpy, GIR and Rocko, handheld had El Tigre, Mr.Blik, XJ9, Zim and Gir

Nice fanfic you got there.

>How did Red and Purple both get picked
t. manlet

why is that such a dumb question? Am I missing something?

What the fuck lol

>Hells was a manga existed around the same time as IZ
JiHM came out before Hells

>Gets delayed for 4 years

ZIM should get a revival it was the best of the three easily, still has the charm of the original and was in some ways actually better and would work great as a modern cartoon again. Arnold had closure and the voices will always be shifting so just end it there. Rocko had the voices down perfectly but overall felt "off" and wasn't really that funny, reminded me why I was disappointed by camp lazlo so just end it there.

it was actually done pretty well though considering the original fucking show. it wasn't even pandering and they made fun of a lot of shit too

FOP got canned two times but was brought back due to high ratings of reruns and the specials. There's a reason why the show became the Dad and Crock show because they couldn't rehire many of the VAs throughout the years back so they cut down on the cast.

>They couldn't rehire many of the VAs throughout the years back so they cut down on the cast.
This, they couldn't even get Adam West to voice Catman so they replaced him with Jeff Bennet

by a year. You think an artist change styles in that span of time just to emulate someone else's?

Arnold had the best by a country mile, below that is Zim, with Rocko on the bottom

They’re the tallest. It’s rather self explanatory.

All of the specials reminded me how shitty the original shows looked in comparision expect for Zim

Try 7 years.

invader zim aired until 2001. Hells was published in Ultra Jump a year later. Jhonen isn't going to fuck your shrapnel faced fat ass.

Still pissed that Sniz and Fondue was going to be a full series twice but was rejected for Rocko and SpongeBob respectively

And this thing out of all the Kablam segments (besides Action League Now!) got a spinoff show.

Johnny was published in 1995 you idiot. He was talking about Jhonen's art in general was an influence on Hells which date back to the 90's

If Nickelodeon went down a more proto-adult swim route for late night shows rather than continuing with Nick at Nite into the 90's I could've definitely seen Duckman as the forefront of that instead of going to USA Network.

Rocko was cringe

Arnold's felt the cleanest and most grandiose, but the weird mythical shit totally felt off from the rest of the tone of the show.

God, this makes me nostalgic.

Why is it even though Invader Zim was swiftly cancelled before the second season finished the characters continued to show up in crossover Nicktoons media years later?

Attached: hqdefault.jpg (480x360, 15K)

Probably because the merchandise on Hot Topic sold like crazy and it had high ratings with the re-runs on Nicktoons

Fuckin snowflake

Imagine being this mad about something not being specifically tailored for you lmao. Rocko did this shit all the time, the show was always flooded with social commentary. You were just too young and stupid to see any of it. I'm sorry but everything you grew up with was as influenced by "POLITICS!!!" as shit that comes out today.

Probably what most people remember about DP is that mass shooter and his cringy OC.

Arnold was the best, Zim was a lot better than I thought it would be. Rocko is fucking dead. That special was what I feared would happen to the other two but we lucked out.

Even back then, the show was so ridiculously popular that I imagine people would have paid extra for anything with IZ content in it. It's the sole reason I bought crap like Party Blast and Globs of Doom (tho Toybots was alright).

Attached: then he got an idea.png (860x607, 611K)

I was a huge CatDog sperg back in '99. Of course, I was also an autistic preteen, so that probably explained my obsession over it. I had a huge collection of merch (I still remember the Cheeze Nips too) and looking back, it is kinda surprising that there was so much of it.

It's kind of sad because, although it remains a major nostalgia trigger for me, trying to watch it as an adult is utterly unbearable. I mean, this show was fucking AWFUL, and it only declined in the latter seasons - the fuck did I ever see in it? I wish they had taken it in a different direction, instead of just being another unfunny cringefest.

What do you think this show was actually about user? What do you think the title meant.

Florpus>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> static cling

Attached: 1566646489332.png (900x3850, 3.27M)

Butch had no fucking idea what to do with the show. A new crew with a new perspective would be a giant breath of fresh air.

Hey Arnold kept the most to it's roots, followed by zim, then rocko. All of them had their flaws, but that's the best ranking.

>Arnold had magical sleeping curse
>Zim lost it's gothic charm and dark humor, GIR was too competent
>Rocko tied to sell itself on agenda pushing

Depends what you view as best

Zim felt like a great return to form and basically feels like a long episode taken from back in the day, but with higher stakes involved. Had some tweaks here and there which can be seen as favorable or not (namely change in look, Gaz being more human, and some wholesome moments). Definitely feels open for continuation or can just be left as an ending if they want (I am personally up for more if its just as good)

Hey Arnold was good but could use more work in certain areas. It did its job well as a conclusion to a long hanging plot thread. Gives a satisfying ending and a continuation doesn't feel needed but is possible.

Rocko started fine but yeah the whole LGBT signal shit really hampers it. Its more that the jokes and characters feel like they take a back seat to it if that makes sense? Its still fine but yeah the LGBT spotlight hurt it to me.

Overall I'd say:

Zim>>Hey Arnold>>Rocko

Rocko>Arnold>>>>>>>>>Zim
Couldn't even finish Zim got bored.

Angry Beavers was top tier and I'd be up for at least testing the waters for it.

Arnold: Not a huge fan, I always liked the smaller scale episodes of the show better in general. Stuck to its roots though, it really felt like no time had passed and like that's exactly how the show would have ended if Jungle Movie had been a part of the original run. Also didn't look TOO different, which I appreciated.

Rocko: Looked fantastic, wasn't super hyped on the story. Heffer and Filbert didn't get enough screentime, which was... weird? The trans thing didn't bother me but it all felt like it could have been a lot tighter in terms of writing. I also wasn't a huge fan of all of the callbacks, because they weren't really incorporated organically so much as being like "HEY FANS OF ROCKO, LOOK ITS THE RECYCLING COMPOST PILE."

Zim: Glad producing it didn't retraumatize Jhonen into hiding (read I Feel Sick if you haven't to see what the original run did to him.) Not a fan at all of the new artstyle. The color pallets were muted, and the rounded feel of everything really showed off the animation budget drop compared to the original series. The one very expensive scene was well done, though. Went back to rewatch some old episodes and found myself in awe at how great it looked. The writing was also... sub par? Best laugh I got was Minimoose pulling the pizza sticker off of the car and GIR shooting a puppy out of his head. I feel like they missed that the best episodes of Zim were either Zim failing to adapt to something human and making it terrifying (the mall one) or Zim and Dib being forced to work together (Tak). Not enough Zim in Florpus for me to really enjoy it.

Overall, best was Arnold, personal favorite was Zim because I was a Zimfag.

Florpus was a great revival but not so much a conclusion. If anything it hypes for more

Arnold was a good conclusion however since the whole point was to settle the big plot thing from the show

There were a couple factors for Zim's cancellation. Primarily costs, angry soccer moms leading to Nick panicking, and some internal issues among the staff. The merch money started rolling in a bit after it was cancelled and Nick realized they goofed.

Hey Arnold was the best. Zim should get the revival treatment though. Hey Arnold had a good ending.

Howcome I missed the Hey Arnold movie?
Did they never promote or nobody care about it ?

It came out like last year, dude. Yea Forums was full of threads, but it was really only a fotw thing just like how zim's threads are right now.

>Its weird DP was never hugely popular like FOP
it did but only among a super weird fetish crowd

I'd like a new season of Undergrads, if it's not too much to add...

I just want them to end it for good. It's been time for ages now

>>The Tallest and most of the Irken armada are fucking dead,
IZ has never given a fucking shit about continuity. some episodes have Zim or Dip dying only to come back fine next episode

The Tallest being in a hell dimension fits with IZ's tone and if there was a next episode they would be fine

RANDY NO

Dark and edgy Danny phantom that deals with suicide bombers becoming ghosts.

>Rocko modern life literally has multiple episodes and characters with homosexual subtexts
>Including a crossdressing Wolf
>Turns big head son transgender out of nowhere
As told by ginger a better show to tackle transgenderism than Rocko modern life, to begin with. Transgender big head fleet forced. Honestly. Danny phantom one of the few Nicktoons that can’t warrant a Riverdale style reboot.

Danny Phantom
It’s pseudo-capeshit and capeshit is all the rage these days

One doesn’t even have to be born before 2005 to get views. It’s also just vapid and colorful enough to hold the attention of Zoomers

I haven't watched Zim because I haven't seen the original show yet. But I'm a big fan of Rocko and Arnold.
>The Jungle Movie
Fantastic, only real flaw for me was the rushed ending. The setting and magical stuff was a little off too, but honestly it was as "Hey Arnold"-feeling as a jungle adventure could have been, so it doesn't really bother me. It was satisfying overall, with the appropriate kinds of callbacks, and perfectly answering to fans. I might have preferred if Arnold's parents were dead, but I can't be upset about how sweet the reunion scene between them and Arnold was. 9/10
>Static Cling
To me this felt like an average episode of Rocko's Modern Life. It wasn't among the best episodes, but it was still pretty good. I feel like RML has too much to offer for just a special, though. It might benefit from more episodes instead so they could tell a bunch of different stories efficiently rather than one drawn-out story about change, and be able to focus more on every notable character. But, I enjoyed it overall. Maybe like, 7/10

Rocko > Zim > a terrorist bombing > Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie

Rocko captured the spirit of the original show the best by adapting perfectly to today's modern times.

Zim brought some much needed closure and was manic and fun, but i just liked Rocko a tad more. I'd almost be willing to call it a tie.

Hey Arnold! was okay up until the village of the green-eyed people. Up to that point, the film had a few things I could nitpick about, but nothing too egregious. Then they got to the village, and I just couldn't. I just fucking couldn't. You're gonna tell me that they had the fucking cure for the sleeping sickness right the fuck there ready to go, but they couldn't use it for a fucking decade because they couldn't find a heart shaped doodad to power their convoluted and wholly unnecessary magic-cloud distribution system?

Making Fiends would be great

What is a modern western cartoon that has no outright bad episodes?

1. Jungle
2. Zim
3. Rocko

Next one is Rugrats

>If it was sooo popular, why wasn't it in any of the Nicktoons Unite games then?
I have always gotten the impression Zim's popularity was sabotaged when the network actually finally looked into the other stuff Vazquez had published and realized kids were reading JTHM with Zim as an entry point

For some reason crossovers like Project X Zone don't come off as weird or jarring at all but the idea of zim, spongebob and jimmy all in the same room interacting is beyond my ability to imagine

Zim > Arnold > Rocko.

Over the Garden Wall, but there's only 10 episodes total so that might be cheating

literally every popular thing in the west has had the larger portion of their fandom on tumblr. danganronpa would never even have been brought to the west if tumblr hadn't latched onto it, same with fire emblem almost dying before tumblr latched onto Awakenings. and many western cartoons are kept alive by their tumblr fandoms.

Also HS was popular EVERYWHERE, it was not really a tumblr exclusive thing (though plenty of tumblr loved it too). Source: I was posting on MSPA forums when reader command suggestions were still open, and saw the initial overnight explosion flooding every site after trolls got introduced

Man what a bad time that was for Yea Forums lol. MLP and Homestuck both at their peak levels of cancerous popularity, roleplaying as trolls in threads, posting pony smut everywhere, it was like a living hell

Is S3 worth watching in a vacuum? The end of S1 was so bad that I've only been able to stomach in depth reviews of the later seasons examining its decline, but it often gets said in said reviews that S3 is actually good

man compared to some of these awful crossovers i am more and more starting to appreciate the simplicity of the R&M/Gravity Falls crossover gag

All the people who for some reason want to fuck Danny Phantom or suck on Sam's jagged cartoon boobs

Switch Arnold and Zim, but mostly because I rewatched a lot of episodes a while ago.

Nah that's a totally fair response. Short, sweet, soulful. Pretty much as good as it gets

>FoP was better because it was more popular

The Hey Arnold was genuinely sincere and endearing. It was a nice way to end the series.

Rocko was just awful, the first half started out fun, then the SJW shit happened, and it became a lecture to the audience, and then attacked the fans.

Zim was clearly the winner of the revivals. It did everything a well thought out special was supposed to do. It humorous, no SJW, no bias social commentary, etc. It was classic Invader Zim that was fun and stayed entertaining.

You bring As Told By Ginger back and Courtney will finally come out.

If they were gonna bring this lame show back they may as well just combine it with rocket power and revive both shows at once.

Arnold

Cringe

>that deviantart joke
>everyone just thinks it's funny, nothing else
Jeez, what happened to that site? If that joke was posted today there'd be hundreds of posts talking about how dA was "attempting to normalize pedophilia" through their joke

Danny Phantom, duh.

It actually fits Ralph's character very well

Man I'd love to see lesbo Courtney and maybe bi Ginger but you just know some co fans are gonna bitch about lesbians and call it forced sjw bs. But fuck em I wanna see them as comfy dating in the future.

Helga got Arnold !
