>Enter Reed Richards, an equally bright Young Man, Whom of which Victor forms a friendship with, often the two collaborate on projects.
>When not in the labs, Victor has a pension for debate teams, history, art. Mainly that of his homeland, and the oppression wrought by the Soviets. A greater sense of pride in his nation is fostered.
>During school, Victor's pension for tech have some hailing him the Next big thing after Tony Stark.
>Graduation arrives, and Victor has any job he so desired. He would say goodbye to his friend Reed and would return home, desiring to see Sokovia brought into the modern age, working on power plants, Electrical grids and what have you.

>Years later, The Battle of New York happens, Victor watches with awe along with the rest of the world, now enlightened by the threats out there, he becomes a voice of National defense for Sokovia, pushing for modernization of the military, the images of Chitauri invasion burned in his mind.
>Due to his status in the Government, he has little wiggle room and Hydra cells begin to move into the nation, watching the inept leadership do nothing as Hydra openly operates to the point it brings the Avengers to his homeland

The People cry out in anger, and Victor heeds their call, running for office. His vision of a land lost to time has the people enthralled. Appealing to nationalistic zeal Victor wins the leadership of Sokovia. His first decree. "It is time we cast the way the final Vestiges of the Soviet regime, and regain our pride. On this day, Latveria is reborn!" The crowd roars with approval.
>Victor closes off all outside support, taking it upon himself to rebuild his nation, keeping the many countless Ultron drone bodies for himself, utilizing their tech to make Latveria the dominant force in the Region. As the events of the world continue, Latveria remains much of a mystery to the rest of the world refusing any and all Foreign presence within the nation as the bitter sting of what his home suffered at the hands of the Avengers, and the inaction of the United Nations remains raw
>Victor retrofitted the many fallen Ultron drone that the citizenry fondly call "Doombots."Victor used these drones to silently watch, and report the goings on of the world.
>What catches Victor's eye however, Stephen Strange. His use of magic earns Victor's curiosity and would take note.
>As the events Infinity war occur, Victor watches in shock and horror as his citizens are turned to ash before him. Though despite the chaos and anarchy that followed, Latveria remained stable, Victor ensuring his remaining people were safe and secure through the use of his Doombots.

>Victor would make the most of this time however, sending his bots on stealth operations across the globe, acquiring Chitauri tech from the abandoned facilities through the chaos of the Snap.
>But his most envious prize was Kamar-Taj. Home of the Sorcerers. There his bots would gather tome upon tome, and for the next five years in the safety and security of Latveria, he would study the mystic arts undisturbed.

>After the Events of Endgame, Victor Ramps down his operations across the globe, not wanting to draw in too much notice of what he's been up to.
>In his seclusion and rule of his nation, Victor would experiment with the magics he mastered, but unlike the Sorcerers, unafraid of dabbling in the darker arts.
>His main motivation being the return of his mother to the living world, and his desires cause to experiment with more reckless magics,Perhaps getting the attention of certain otherworldly beings
>Though in his work in the mystical arts, Victor would work in finding means to see coming disasters in the future. In his experimentation, Victor creates a spell that mimics to a lesser degree the abilities of the Time Stone, but only allowing for short glimpses into the future.
>He witnesses the end times. A colossal being consuming whole worlds without a second thought and for the first time, in a long time. Doom felt fear.
> But all was not lost, for the vision showed him perhaps a world unified in purpose could this be avoided And thus, Doom's quest begins to unify the world under one banner. HIS banner to save it. For the only way forward for the World, is under Doom. At least as he sees it.

It's a good idea. It also makes sense why someone who the world has never heard of before suddenly becomes their king. And yes, people love connecting stuff to other stuff, that shit is the entire basis of the MCU.

We never heard about Black Panther before CW, and yet people didn’t complain about that. They didn’t have to retcon Sokovia into being Wakanda to introduce it.

Oh is that why everyone complains about the huge number of villains who are disgruntled former Stark employees? People like connections when they make sense, not when it’s a connection for the sake of a connection because you can’t wrap your head around the idea of Marvel having more than one fictional Eastern Europe country.

Agree. The Sokovia stuff being something that may have influenced Doom's decisions as its a neighbouring country or Ultron being the basis for the Doombots or whatever is fine enough. No need to do a thing where Sokovia is Latveria and shit where Doom was there all along during AoU but just out of frame.
