Doesn't matter how much X-Men you give them, X-Fags will never give or forgot the Inhuman push. Even with The X-Men basically back in full force. Even now with New Attilan destroyed, Two of the Royals dead (Maximus and Triton), The Dog running around with BRB of all people now a days and the King's voice gone. At this point Marvel and Capcom need to make up and release a remaster of MvC2 and make all the money in the world. The don't even need to make a new game. Just bring that back and even do DLC for more characters. Make Mugen look like a joke in comparison.

This. Honestly, there was nothing really wrong with MvCI's newcomers, but some of them were just poorly implemented. Like Mega Man X's moveset was kinda bland and boring. T'challa's could've been better too.

I would also have added more characters. Give me Daredevil, Blade, Nero, Gene, bring back Cyclops, Cable, MvC2 Jill, etc.

It's really not a huge loss if they never make more vs. games again. CvS2, TvC, and SFxT still have new stuff being discovered all the time. Capcom's fighting games from 2012 onwards don't exactly carry very good reputations either, even if all of them with the exception of Street Fighter V play well.

I honestly don't see why that would be true or why Capcom just doesn't try it again. Maybe not half-ass it this time. There's plenty of demand there for a game like this.

Set aside movie wank and try to think of what characters fans of the comics would want to see, and who you'd like to expose to a bigger audience.
MvC2 used the fact that work was already done on a ton of characters to its advantage-- do the same. Bring back everyone from UMvC3 and this game to the next one. That would help solve the inherent problem with this series that you have to please both fans of the comics and fans of the movies, but you have to do it with half a full roster because of the Capcom side.

MvC is supposed to be broken. If you want balance and thought put into the roster then play TvC.

DMC5 had some squash and stretch animations with Shadow and Nightmare, so it's definitely doable in RE Engine.
