>EMH is the only good Avengers cartoon
>We never got that Cap America cartoon in the 90's
>All future Marvel animation is going to be poisoned by the MCU
It's not fair!
EMH is the only good Avengers cartoon

Ah, that animation...
I mean, Zone animation
I am still getting around explaining why the last two spidey shows are bad, in paper they should had been good.
Ultimate got around introducing Kaine / Scarlet Spider. Sure the humor was something Yea Forums collectively hated but it was fine at times.
Marvel's Spider-Man(TM) is soulless but I like Doc Ock and a few versiones of the characters, sadly the drawings are too stiff. Like, even Batman TAS dabs on a 2016 show.
>For one brief shining moment Hank Pym was in a cartoon that showcased him as a founding Avenger, a powerhouse, a genius, and all around good guy
>When he had his breakdown and became Yellowjacket, he was a straightup badass
I remember him snapping and fucking destroying some villains. Shit was kino.
>All that shit planned for later seasons that was cut for avengers assemble
Man I miss this show. It even had one of my favorite version of Thor.
youtube.com
the fact we will never see any of it still hurts.
Pym defeated Abomination not once but twice in the show, that was kino indeed.
>best wasp
>best pym
>best cap
>best kang
>best doom
man even super hero squad was great, what the fuck happened.
Unironically the MCU, or more accurately, MCU synergy
I remember hearing that the guy who is in charge of cartoons wanted to simplify them and get rid of multi episode arcs.
Best Carol too.
>All future Marvel animation is going to be poisoned by the MCU
Sup.
jan is for ultron
I wish it lasted longer so we could have gotten more Janet goodness
This and this MCU + Loeb = shit animated universe, then Wacker ruined it even more... not sure who's in charge now but it still have a lot of MCU synergy, that makes everything more inconsistent.
im in the mood to cry tonight, where can i read up on what could have been?
Pym honestly had some of the best moments in the whole series. I mean, he called his Super Villain prion “The Big House” after he shrunk them down. That shit is fucking hilarious. I also loved how he gets all excited over the science behind Wonder Man’s body while fighting him. Such a fucking great show
The thing that hurts the most is that EMH!Jan is dead forever...
>Batman TAS dabs on a 2016 show.
This statement confuses me, do you mean to say that Batman TAS is bad? Because I would have to disagree with you.
>get rid of multi episode arcs
Why? That is the kind of shit that made the comics good.
>EMH is the only good Avengers cartoon
False
>It's not fair!
It's what fans of Disney and DC deserve. Fuck the big two.
In some ways it was even better than JL.
Hear me out, JL made the plots wholesale, EMH adapted stuff from all the comic eras.
>Hanks breakdown was never made into his fault and was an actual accurate display of someones entire worldview being put into question
>Janett actually helped him through it instead of fucking him over even more.
Toei/Tecmo revived the headphones, though. So nothing is truly dead when it's loved.
That's what I loved about this show, sometimes it took comic arcs and actully made them better.
a fucking kid's show has the best characterization of the punisher.
What do you people want to see in a Marvel cartoon
I don't, I'm totally ok with a steady flow of big-budget films. The direct-to-video shit can live at Warner Brothers.
What the fuck are you talking about, i'm talking about cartoons not movies
>we lost Spectacular Spider-Man and Earth's Mightiest Heroes for their shitty Disney-approved replacements

Hey, I watched the final season of EMH.
pic related.
You don't have to be an ass about it
It's Yea Forums, I can be an ass if I want. I own the whole thing on DVD, but my god was it going downhill sharply.
YOU don't have to pretend that it was a masterwork cut down in its prime. Its prime ended with Season 1.
I disagree: good originality will always be superior to re-hashing old stories over and over. As much as those classic comics stories were good I would much rather see something new and original.
I agree that season 2 was not great overall
But that was more due to sabotage from Loeb and Man of Action, if the original writers and showrunners had stayed on the show would have been so much better
Season two was great, just because the second isn't as great as the first doesn't make it terrible, season two gave us YellowJacket, Skrulls, Ms. Marvel, New Avengers and Galactus and even did some of them better than the comics and MCU
Not counting the theatrical Spider-Verse, I refuse to watch any animated Marvel show ever again. Fuck even if they make a show better than SSM or EMH, I hope it gets canned less than one season in or better yet not all the episodes air.
I wish all them were better
Too bad, so sad.
I enjoy Avengers Assemble.
Still one of the best animated Marvel scenes.
youtube.com
Ultimate Spider-Man and the Guardians cartoon are fine too. But even I still enjoy EMH and Spectacular.
Impossible to imagine?
In a shit 90s cartoon that people look at through nostalgia glasses.
I miss it
I also loved how important science was to him, he was a much more pure scientist than Tony and could outdo anyone in the show
It also had the best Hulk and Thor
The lack of Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver (because Wolverine & the X-Men had them) was the only problem with EMH. Especially Scarlet Witch because a lot of the stories they adapted, she was originally in.
It's not quite a complete Avengers cartoon without those two, but that wasn't the creators' fault, it was Marvel's fault for pushing the "children of Magneto" thing hard.
Leave it to Marvel to cancel a show that people compared to, and even said was better than, JLU.
Doe someone else have the rights to X-Men characters in cartoons? EMH had Wolverine in at least 1 episode, or did they have to fork over some money for that?
yup
No, Marvel had the rights to make X-Men cartoons, they just chose not to make them for years when management handed down their "no promoting Fox characters" edict (but this was after WatXm/EMH).
I'd say EMH was better than JLU simply because the animation wasn't as lazy. Supergirl's head was bigger than her fucking body
Who cares about fair little one?
don't forget best butt
Don't you tempt my killing hand.
only the episodes by Man of Action were terrible, and that was only what...8 episodes? most of Season 2 was still great
Yours is a very special mind.
Too bad EMH's Carol had man face.
Does modern Janet wear antenna?
Why is the cover of that comic so well drawn but the art in the comic itself is shit?
wrong show carol hater. god damn, you people can't even get the right cartoon
Nah, AA's Carol is just hotter mate.
disagree but how about anime Carol?
>>All future Marvel animation is going to be poisoned by the MCU
You should thanks Marvel Entertainment for that sinergy
Better looking than EMH's Carol. Shit anime though.
Waiting your bitching about EMHs carol having a manface, yet you like a female character with that jawline?
Everyone has defeated Abomination at least once, he is a jobber villain
Same reason most comics have a cover artist, to trick you into believing the content inside is as good as the cover.
>>>All future Marvel content, comics, movies/TV and even interactive, is going to be poisoned by the MCU
Fixd. They started right after Avengers 1.
>Watching this while playing MvC 3 and knowing the VAs were voicing the same characters.
Good times
We can shit on DC for their failure to get a shared universe off the ground but at least they didnt try to assimilate their characters into the same style across different media platforms. The MCU has really killed any sort of variety across games, cartoons. Etc...
not mention they all have the same face
Janet is only for Hank
The only Carol that was actually likable.
Man, what they did to Josh was dirty.
no this one is
Did they ever capture all the escapees from the series premiere?
The last time I ever cared about her to be honest.
they got a bunch but they stopped being the direct plot point at the end of season 1
Yeah, that's why I wondered.
Aside from the purple man and the powerless episodes that season was still great, shit it gave us the most acurate version of Beta Ray Bill. Man I loved how almost all the Thor stuff in the show was from the Walter Simonson's run.
It gave us the best possible on-screen Doctor Doom. Its greatness shall forever be remembered.
That's way I say in some ways. This is a point of debate, since I think JL was still the best overall, especially in the character development. But the comic adaptation should be commended as well.
God bless Film Roman.
I miss it bros
