So how are they gonna cross Holland Spidey into the SUMC? Are they gonna imply as much as legally impossible that it's the same version of Spidey and that Venom/Morbius/Nighwatch/Kraven/whatever are part of the MCU or is just never gonna get mentioned and it'll effectively be a complete reboot just with the same actor?
Also will all those solo villain movies still even get made now or will they just be the villains in SUMC Spidey movies now?
The best way forward is to re-cast with an older Spider-Man that would work better in the same movie as Venom. Kraven was the only solo villain movie planned, the others were all for heroes, so no need to scrap any of them.
Adam Cruz
Holland's never going to Spider-Man again if he leaves the MCU.
Angel Gomez
>cross Holland Spidey into the SUMC they can't. Sony will recast and reboot or take back Garfield
Austin Bennett
He's got a contract for figure Spidey movies with Sony.
Leo Flores
*Future
Xavier Nguyen
>or take back Garfield This is what China wants them to do
Jeremiah Bell
I'm keeping my hopes up Disney makes a better deal so Sony accepts. I don't want another fucking reboot.
Brandon Jones
I think Disney will ban any incarnation of the MCU outside the deal, so he'll get the paycheck for not doing the movies just like all the X Men with big contracts from Fox like Sophie Turner? or Alexandra Shipp
Ian Perez
Spidey is like the parents in Cow & Chicken. It'll work too seeing how Spidey makes zero appearances in the best Spider-Man book of all time (Superior Foes of Spider-Man).
Angel Gomez
Disney can't do that. Sony owns MCU Spiderman and any other movie version of the character. Also, i don't think Sony will terminate Tom's contract. It would kill any goodwill left that they have with the MCU crowd.
Nolan Sanders
They're gonna make a deal to keep the gravy train going. Sony will have Marvel fold in Tom Hardy and let Venom be a thing. Guarantee it. They're both just playing hardball but they also both know it's better to have the deal than not.
Ayden Rogers
>Sony owns MCU Spiderman I suppose Disney didn't give them that so they couldn't do just the first movies and leave and if they leave they'll have to drop that incarnation of the character too. I suppose they can't use anyone from the cast, other than J. K. Simmons maybe
Brandon Howard
If Sony owned MCU Spider man they would use him in Venom, MCU Spider Man belong to both and if they don't agree there's no more Iron Boy.
Jace Lopez
Think logically user. Sony isn't going to want to fold Venom into the MCU with the deal Disney put forward. Nor would they want to sacrifice control of release. They would want at least one Spider-Man movie a year which Marvel wouldn't do
Nicholas Evans
Yes. Iron Boy specifically and all the MCU incarnations of his characters (black MJ, fat retard Pinoy Ned, relatively young attractive Aunt May, disgruntled ex-Stark employee Mysterio etc.) are basically in legal limbo now. Sony can keep using Holland since he has another two movies in his contract, just that they can't make any overt references to the MCU that'd explicitly make it clear that he's the same version as the MCU one.
People have theorized that the reason all his supporting characters were made so dramatically different in his two MCU movies is specifically because Sony always planned on yanking him when the contract was over Spidey in film was back on his feet. It kind of makes sense, since the writer of the Kraven solo movie that's in pre-production was talking about Spidey in his script almost a year ago now.
Logan Torres
It's confirmed that Tom Holland is contracted for one more Sony movie at least. The movie were still entirely Sony owned, they can reference all characters introduced there or that are part of the overall Spider-brand. It's only the non-Spider MCU characters and plot elements that can't be referenced, or stuff from non-Sony movies (Civil War, Avengers are completely outside of reach now).
Owen Richardson
...
Joseph Richardson
The original contract states that Sony needs Disney's permission before using the character. Now that It expired they can do whatever the fuck they want with him, without involving Marvel Studios's toys of course.
Logan Parker
So is there hope a deal can still be agreed upon?
Elijah Taylor
>So how are they gonna cross Holland Spidey into the SUMC? They're not going to. They are already in the unenviable position of trying to follow up a Spider-Man that general audiences loved, who was connected to a universe general audiences loved. It might be impossible for Sony to make a new Spider-Man movie, and it will definitely be impossible for them to port Holland into their universe without any of his supporting cast or connections.
Normies just won't go in for it, and if Sony's leadership have a combined IQ of 80+ they should know this. Not only are people tired of reboots, they will actively avoid anything they perceive as existence instead of the Spider-Man they like. If they DO make a new Spider-Man it will probably be a far worse bomb than even ASM2 was, and they'll have to either come crawling back or just not use the character ever again.
I think Sony can do a decent job, as long as they fire Avi Arad.
Josiah Gutierrez
Nope.
You need to remember who was in the room leading negotiations. Tom Rothman, Avi "Not even Josh Trank wants to work with me" Arad and fucking Alan Horn.
Zachary Evans
>Now that It expired they can do whatever the fuck they want with him that's not how that works, now they can't do shit with Holland and they'll have to recast, and pay Holland for the no movie.
Eli Kelly
>as long as they fire Avi Arad. lol
Nolan Wood
Ofc they could use Garfield or Maguire, that belong only to them
Jacob Allen
>When you hear Carnage, the only thing you can think of is R. But, if you know his story, if you really know the comic, there’s no R here. He’s a tortured soul. It’s not about what he does, because we never have to show the knife going from here to there, and the blood is pouring. What you have to show is, what is the motivation? Was he born like that, or [is he] someone we should feel for, because if you succeeding in making a villain someone you can feel for, jackpot
the best way is spiderman travels the multiverse. It was colossally stupid to make the current iteration of spiderman so ingrained to the mcu, now that they want to go solo they simply cant, without yet another reboot.
Parker Morales
Disney can still make a better deal right? God dammit no more reboots. Make a decent deal Disney.
Jacob Baker
Witnessed They are going to kill off Peter in the first 10 to 20 minutes of the film and replace him with Miles. Then he will back back in a dream sequence telling Miles he is a Better Spiderman, Peter May have invented Spider-Man, but miles made Spiderman something better.
Chase Stewart
So was Garfield, we've seen how that went
Daniel Fisher
This is retarded. Please bring Venomverse into the mcu Jesus Christ.
Alexander Nelson
I'll take another reboot if we get original redheaded Mary Jane back desu, probably not going to happen considering the massive hate boner media has against red heads for some reason.
Dominic Scott
Priorities
Joshua Watson
Nah fuck that, both Disney and Sony keep fucking up the character, in all honestly I prefer him not to be in anything ever again if these cunts can't cut back on fucking pandering and not telling good stories with the characters I know and love. Fuck any cunt who thinks it is a good idea to change a characters sex or race just to pander, fuck them all desu.
John Hill
This.
Either call it quits and just pay Tom for however long his contract was supposed to go for or make a temporary deal with Disney. Anything besides these two options, especially if they involve doing another movie, is them asking to be bombed.
Aaron Price
Normies dont care, they will still eat it up... because of the Marvel logo.
Connor Long
just make spiderman 4 starring dilf tobey with nostalgia bait to the original raimi trilogy
Carter Torres
You can't be this naïve. Spider-Man is in the same position as Batman or James Bond, where audiences have already been trained to accept different actors in the role, and periodic hard or soft reboots. Rebooting too soon could easily fail for the same reasons as the ASM movies, but audiences are not going to permanently reject any other actor, nor a Spider-Man that's not in the MCU.
Aiden Garcia
You mention the quality of the stories while also arguing the entire thing apparently relies on the love interest's skin shade?
Cooper Rivera
After Endgame and that cliffhanger ending in FFH I don't think people will be as accepting as you think.
Grayson Walker
>I'll take another reboot if we get original redheaded Mary Jane back desu I hope you remember what kind of actress they got for Mary Jane in The Amazing Spiderman 2
Dylan Cox
Can't they do a soft reboot? Some science bullshit happens, gets thrown into ultimate universe with Kraven following him. For extra browny point, Miles is the older Spiderman there, dies and Peter takes his place.
Jayden Scott
>Batman Justice League was a bomb. >James Bond The last JB was a financial failure.
Both ASM1 and 2 were considered failures too. You're retarded if you think people, with knowledge having being circulated that the next Sony Spider-Man only exists because the MCU deal got wrecked, won't completely reject Sony next offering. I wouldn't be surprised if this leads to people boycotting other Sony movies too.
Logan Sanchez
>Spider-Man is in the same position as Batman or James Bond, where audiences have already been trained to accept different actors in the role Sure but after they ended their respective cycle.
And even those have troubles reintroducing a new actor for their respective franchises, so you get situations where it works fine like Nolan Batman or where they get mixed reception like Webb Spiderman
Chase Taylor
Wait 5-10 years before rebooting and most people aren't going to care anymore by then. This is only an issue if Sony are stupid enough to reboot immediately.
Jason Bennett
No. Because audiences will see that as a contrived way to get Spidey out of the MCU, and will resent the whole idea for it.
Anthony Taylor
If they keep Holland there'll probably just use some dumb meta joke to half-assedly explain it away.
>"Wow, I swear everything here used to be different. Didn't I save the world once?"
Gavin Ward
I’ve been following twitter and other social media platforms since the news broke and normies are pissed user. #SaveSpidey was trending worldwide for 3 days. I went to see FFH for the first time on Thursday and the theater was packed. That fucking movie came out 2 months ago, user.
You have to remember we’ve had Tom Spidey for 5 movies. Normies have fallen in love with the kid over the course of 3 years, his story in the MCU, etc. Sony continuing the franchise using Holland with nothing to do with the previous movies is just asking for more backlash.
They already have Spiderverse and Insomniac for Spider-Man stuff. Movies are just not a good decision right now because either way, reboot or not, the general audience is gonna be angry
Cooper Collins
Lets try this again, was there anything of worth for changing MJs race? Did it add anything to the story other that that cringey shit about slaves? Face it when people make these decisions, it isn't because they have interest of the story or character in mind, it is because they want to be seen as good people and they don't care if they end up ruining aspects of characters through it, for example the 2006 ghost busters, did any of the creators give more of a shit then just swapping out genders and calling it done? I did say sony can fuck off too, neither company gives a shit about the product or giving the character a good movie, they might have once, but not anymore.
Matthew Wood
>So how are they gonna cross Holland Spidey into the SUMC?
throw venoms pp into spider boipucci
Evan Williams
Normal people don't boycott movies, they just don't go to things that don't interest them.
Isaac Collins
>for example the 2006 ghost busters, Well I fucked that one up, I meant the remake, been playing the vidya and it got stuck in my head.
Ethan Lewis
That's because he pissed off SONY Japan's CEO by blowing off a company dinner
Robert Lee
Sony can't do that. They want Spidey to interact with Hardy Venom, which means making Spider-Man film as soon as possible. Also, as long as the MCU is still around, people will reject whatever Sony brings to the table. They only have a chance at rebooting after the MCU has been dead for a decade.
So they're gonna have to wait twenty-ish years to be safe. They won't, though, because Sony's leadership are genuinely retarded. They'll rush out a Spider-Man film within two years for Venom synchronicity and it won't even make its budget back because the vast majority of moviegoers will still be utterly livid at the notion of a non-MCU Spidey.
We're not talking about rational people here. We're talking about Rothman and Arad. The duncest of dunce hats.
Gabriel Collins
Yeah, they do, when they care. People are genuinely attached to the MCU to the point where it's almost scary. They won't call it a boycott, they'll just avoid Sony shit out of spite.
Angel Cruz
>Lets try this again, was there anything of worth for changing MJs race? Lets try for a final time, Michelle is not MJ Is just a stupid nod to the character but nothing more than that. They probably wanted to introduce Gwen and Mary Jane for later films while having Michelle as a little but dumb nod.
I even think this was a mix of Sony forcing the character again but Marvel not wanting to introduce her so early so they agree on the shitty idea of naming Michelle MJ.
Juan Roberts
They can’t wait 5-10 years when Venom 2 is on the horizon user
Luke Thompson
Bullshit, they only changed her name slightly so they could calm down everyone who was pissed at the time. Now they keep calming she isn't MJ despite calling her MJ and becoming his love interest in far from home.
Ethan James
If Disney let's Holland slip out of the mcu they are fucking retarded. Why hasn't anyone there commented? Like not even Feige.
Jeremiah Thomas
Will Disney cave and offer a better deal to Sony? I feel like we’ll see another Gunn situation, because the mouse placed all their eggs in a Spider-Man basket for the next couple of phases. They’re not going to allow themselves to be cucked this hard. Will they find a way to crossover Hardy Venom to the MCU and somehow connect it?
Carter Green
They better cave. They make a shit ton of money off the merchandise. Losing Spidey would hurt their next phases and just be bad PR in general. They're not that stupid, right?
Kevin Moore
Feige has commented retard
Hudson Wood
Did it remove anything? And you're crying about jokes, sheesh
Adrian Sanders
Woops, what'd he say?
Aiden Powell
>Not wanting to let the Venom Cinematic Universe play out over Morbius, Venom 2, Kraven, Silver Sable, Black Cat, Nightwatch and Silk before bringing them all together for Maximum Carnage >Wanting an 8th Spider-Man movie instead of all that Let's have something different and more interesting instead
Daniel Wright
>Why hasn't anyone there commented? Like not even Feige. Because it was a leak and you can thanks Deadline for ruining future renegotiations.
Sony had to damage control hard, even paying Lee's daughter to defend their image and funny enough new reports are claiming that a initial deal for 25% by Disney was ignored by Sony for months
Grayson Sanchez
They can do all that without removing Spidey from the mcu. Though I would like to see Venom in the mcu too.
Aiden Bell
It's difficult for a lot of us to comprehend that the worst live action Spider-Man is that beloved. It's like trying to imagine a mass public outcry over the Clooney Batman being replaced, but it's really happening.
Bentley Ross
Wait future negotiations are off the table? When was that said?
Isaac Howard
>Any of that >Interesting or even different Are the different titles on the posters enough to entertain you or what
Although as stupid of a movie it was i am at least curious about the Venom sequel(s)
Sebastian Hill
>the worst live action Spider-Man is that beloved Nah, people hated Garfield Spider-Man.
Adrian Thompson
The worst was ASM though. Holland is fine and would have gotten better now that his mentor is gone.
Alexander Garcia
>Did it remove anything? That's my point, making an huge change to an important character for no reason comes off as fucking stupid, no one should change shit like that for their own ego because it ruins the intentions of the media itself. >And you're crying about jokes, sheesh Not crying, more pointing out how that joke added nothing to the story and came from nowhere, it actually made her look worse then before because she is too focused on needless bullshit instead of the fact they are living in an universe where gods and aliens exist.
Eli Sanders
(you)
Alexander Myers
>Are the different titles on the posters enough to entertain you or what Seeing live action versions of characters we've never seen in live action before is inherently more interesting than seeing endless sequels or reboots for the same character. Even if some of those SUMC movies end up being bad, aren't you curious to see what they do with them?
Thomas Long
>we get original redheaded Mary Jane Played by Sophie Turner
>“I’m feeling about Spider-Man gratitude and joy... We got to make five films within the MCU with Spider-Man: two standalone films and three with the Avengers. It was a dream that I never thought would happen. It was never meant to last forever. We knew there was a finite amount of time that we’d be able to do this, and we told the story we wanted to tell, and I’ll always be thankful for that.”
Juan Scott
This is the weirdest situation. There’s no real side to root for, Sony is run by morons who don’t have any idea how to handle IPs and Marvel can’t make a Spider-Man movie that doesn’t reference Iron Man. Granted I enjoy Holland as Spidey, he’s got the character down alright even if he has no edge. Seriously Hollandman is blunt as a butter knife. There’s just none of the isolation and bullied victim that is so common amongst young Spider-Man stories. Honestly I think aging up Hollandman to college and going with a soft reboot with a new cast would be smart.
Tyler Torres
Guess that's it then. What a fucking waste.
Jackson Baker
>Venomverse You know, as shit as this comic was, along with Poison X and Venomized, this would make for a really awesome action focused animated film
Aiden Collins
>Marvel can’t make a Spider-Man movie that doesn’t reference Iron Man We were about to get that.
it wouldn't get mentions, but there isn't really any reason to see it as a reboot if it keeps the same cast and doesn't purposefully contradict anything. it's still the same character, same Peter with the same experience; most notable with how Sony refers to the future Spider-Man movies as 3 and 4 rather than a whole new set of movies.
Brody Morris
So they're just giving up? No more negotiations at all?
Robert Hughes
of course not these kinds of negotiations dont ever truly end i dont know why everyone is acting like this is some kind of final thing
Christian Cook
2017 >Spider-Man: Homecoming
2019 >Spider-Man: Far From Home
2021 >Spider-Man: Homeless
Jackson Rodriguez
Based Disney doesn't renegotiate
Sony fucked up so now Disney will wait a couple years until sony fucks up and goes bankrupt and will take the rights back for free
Camden Ortiz
Didn't they renegotiate with Gunn? How long did the original deal take to go through with Spidey?
Lincoln Robinson
It literally can't. Iron Man is dead, and his eulogy is done.
Nolan Sanders
>Sinister Six is now made up of villains connected to something Tony Stark did
Daniel Foster
Yeah because his movies were shit. ASM2 didn’t even touch what Far from Home made. Of course they are keeping Holland
Carter Myers
For the love of god dont put Spidey in venom 2 , let the thing breathe
>Venom 2 Use Scream and the other symb + Carnage as second antagonist with shriek
>Spidey 3 Make the Scorpion route , its fucking perfect. You already have Jameson there
>Max Carnage aka Venom 3 Spidey vs venom first half , Spidey/Venom vs Carnage second
Sony will fuck it up if Feige isn't involved though. Sony would undoubtedly push for Spidey and Venom asap.
Adam Wilson
Give me back my Amazing Spider-Man!
Hudson Moore
I hate that anything I even mildly enjoy has to get ruined by a bunch of suits. Be it Disney, Sony, or whoever. Just fucking play ball together and you'll both make a lot of goddamn money even if it's not ALL the goddamn money.
Easton Cooper
am I in the wrong here or wouldn't Disney could still have Spidey in the MCU by making a live action tv series for Disney+? I mean they have the rights for TV adaptations right? So what I would do is disguise spidey movies as TV series and just work something out like renting the character as supporting roles
Christopher Bennett
Man normies are not like that anymore. Before, when there was no interconnected mega franchise that spawned 10 years with plans of going on for another 10 maybe, but now? They care about the MCU only and it's characters. Spiderman has become a synonym with the MCU now. People expect it to be in the MCU. another reboot will certainly bomb. Look at normal social media. People are hell bent on keeping Spidey as a MCU character.
Benjamin Barnes
Might be some legal issues with that but if it was a legal work around to keep Spidey in the mcu I'd be fine with it.
This is a reason I think, at least hope, a deal can still be reached. Though if Disney was being unreasonable they need to get their act straight and make a better more fair deal.
Anthony Phillips
Funny thing, reports are surfacing now that Disney offered a way more reasonable deal in the first place. 25%-75% I mean I would take it, make my venomverse bullshit and just rake in money from MCU spiderman. But these are Tom Rothman and Avi Arad, and those two combined make up for probably a retarded person's thinking hability
Parker Myers
I mean that doesn't sound terrible considering Disney/Marvel have a lot of if not all creative control meaning Sony didn't have to do anything. Though we'll never know for sure which side or if both were unreasonable. If a deal gets made I hope it's soon so fans and the actors don't have to wonder what's up for so long.
Jayden Lewis
I'm a bit curious thanks to all this Twitter nonsense and how representative of actual normal people it is. In the West, like, roughly what are the proportions of people who see superhero movies out of:
>kids >people who don't really care but just want to be entertained by CGI explosions by a few hours >deranged MCU loyalists (I hate using the term "fake nerd" because it conjures up images of all those turbospergs on Yea Forums having a fit, but it's kind of what I'm getting at) like pic-related who spend all day on Twitter and Reddit raving about the movies but don't actually read comics >actual nerdy comic enthusiasts
Portal opens up which sucks Holland into Venom’s world. Maguire and Garfield are also there. Spider verse begins.
Movie ends but Holland is stuck on the alternate Earth for some reason.
It’s not hard.
Lucas Ramirez
>roughly what are the proportions of people who see superhero movies out of:
Normal everyday people user. Those are the people that pack the theaters everytime there's a marvel movie.
>kids not even close. People are no longer having kids, so there's no kids to take to the movies. Go to a normal 7 pm screening of any cape movie and it is like 90% 20-35 year olds with their friends and 10% adults with their kids
Brandon Gomez
I wish Disney would release a statement already. Just to kill what little hope I have left at least. I really don't want it rebooted again and sure as hell don't want Spidey to have no interaction with all the characters from mcu he's grown with. They're all getting money from working together. Why's it so hard for both companies to see that?
Sebastian Thomas
The funny thing is that Sony will still make soft hand references to Peter's stint in the MCU. Hell! They might even pretend the stories still happen within the MCU. All I know is that I'll probably get a good laugh out of this.
Thomas Price
MCU "fans" are zealots at this point. Sony is potentially in a situation where they can get less money for a Spider-Man movie than they would get have they accepted the 50/50 deal.
Lincoln Nguyen
The primary audiences for superhero movies have unironically changed from kids to manchilds.
And not the basement dweller kind but the soiiboii face ones. The ones who make uproars in Twitter and stuff. So yeah, Sony is fucked either way.
Julian Powell
who the fuck takes their kids to the evening show
Kevin Miller
Garfield is a fucking faggot. I hate his douchebag Peter Parker and Spiderman slant. Peter isn't that much of an asshole.
Hudson Sanchez
So, would a Disney free Holland movie be considered MCU fanfiction? Would it be canon?
Eli Ward
it was just an example, go to a 4pm screening and is still little to no kids at most you'll see teenagers going in groups but that's it.
Aaron Moore
this, and not really because they aren't aimed at kids anymore, but because people that were kids/teens when Iron Man 1 came out grew up with the MCU, hell I was 16 when the first Iron Man movie came out. They literally had presence in my life from my late teens to my mid 20s. That's the MCU's audience right now, people who watched the movies for a decade. not kids
William Lee
>obsessed
Lincoln Baker
tom is a handsom young fellow, just let him be in mcu
Angel Nguyen
Avi “Literally Cancer In Human Form” Arad
I’m not even that bothered by this as both a MCU and Spidey diehard. I’m ONLY worried about this morons continued involvement. Get him as far away as fuckin possible.
That said, it still seems sort of obvious to me a deal with still be struck whether it’s in two days or several months. To logical for both parties to not eventually do it despite any retarded execs in the room.
Ayden Adams
>Peter isn't that much of an asshole. He totally was before he mellowed out as a result of being Spider-Man.
Xavier Smith
That’s not true at all anymore.
Jacob Evans
You underestimate the effect this version has had on GA perceptions that way.
Samuel Roberts
It’s because he’s extremely limited and doesn’t know how to process his ignorance user. Guy may as well literally be saying as much with a statement that daft.
Jose Lee
Actually, he was more of a psycho rather then an asshole. He was well on his path of becoming a super genius villain until the Uncle Ben incident humbled him down.
Christopher Walker
This.
THIS.
Leo Jenkins
Did it hurt it? If she had the exact personality but was white and red headed suddenly you’d feel different?
You’re full of shit and delude yourself user lmao Stfu and have a real argument or contribute to the conversation ya pleb.
Nathaniel Gray
This guy gets it.
Lincoln Thomas
>“I’m feeling about Spider-Man gratitude and joy,” Feige told EW. “We got to make five films within the MCU with Spider-Man: two standalone films and three with the Avengers. It was a dream that I never thought would happen. It was never meant to last forever. We knew there was a finite amount of time that we’d be able to do this, and we told the story we wanted to tell, and I’ll always be thankful for that.”
>we told the story we wanted to tell really you're happy to just leave it at that are you Feige? >the whole world knows peter parker is spider man >great guys that's a wrap
btw as an aside if they make holland spidy and hardy venom meet with lots of homoerotic tension and and other such cool symbiote bullshit i will forgive everything.
Nathan Hall
Because a deal will still be worked out. It’s obvious.
The size of this news story literally just makes that more apparent.
Charles Reyes
>If she had the exact personality but was white and red headed suddenly you’d feel different Not him, but yeah I would. That way I could at least be able to fetishize her and maybe eventually grow to like her from a purely sexual perspective. No one with decent taste likes negroid features.
Lucas Reed
This. Also his acting was atrocious and i've seen the guy in other stuff, he can act so who knows what the hell was going on there.
Landon Harris
Not REALLY tho. Ya know? He said the most diplomatic obvious answer ever.
They’re going to come back to the table
Brandon Wright
Poor Tom Holland is gonna get bombarded with this shit for years now, every time he makes anything or does anything publicly. Oh well atleast he's rich.
Asher Reyes
Confirmed for pleb taste and lack of emotional growth.
Daniel Anderson
It wasn’t. A deal will absolutely be reached and that’s obvious.
Jose Rodriguez
:(
Plz
Lucas Carter
I'm too pessimistic over everything in life now to think a deal will be made. Hope you're right but I expect nothing.
Ian Allen
That doesn't mean he must be in a movie. Studios drop contracted stars all the time.
Parker Ortiz
That user is right. Money is involved they won't leave it alone.
Owen James
Oh I agree both sides would make far more money by working together. Thing is Disney's stubbornness and Sony's ineptitude do not make me at all confident.
Lucas Ward
money $$$ >worldwide mutil-billion conglomerate businesses prioritising their feelings over money
lmao don't worry about it.
Dylan Peterson
EYE ROLL 3000
Brody Gutierrez
Fair enough user. Fair enough. I don’t blame you for not having faith in the people who continually fuck up one of the easiest characters to do correctly (Sony primarily let’s be honest).
Noah Clark
Fucking grow up you pansy.
John Green
Yeah I'd argue it did hurt it, she came off as a cunt, especially that awkward fucking statement about slaves at that point of the movie, or how she acts like a fucking bitch to everyone including Peter, it made her character worse.
Leo Bennett
Do you currently have a girlfriend user?
Hudson Clark
Pretty obvious that was established as a character fault and defence mechanism for being insecure. So that, I mean this literally happened at the end of the last movie but I’ll humour you; so that, she could, Idk, grow up and grow as a character perhaps ? I KNOW user. A female character and love interest having a real arc. UNHEARD OF!
Mason Scott
>They are going to kill off Peter in the first 10 to 20 minutes of the film and replace him with Miles. Then he will back back in a dream sequence telling Miles he is a Better Spiderman, Peter May have invented Spider-Man, but miles made Spiderman something better. Come back, Disney, all is forgiven!
John Lopez
God almighty Kevin Fiege has a punchable fucking face.
Christian Lopez
I just want a "Into the Venomverse" movie, an animated television show would suffice
Ayden Rodriguez
>wanting to date someone who will treat you like shit beecause muh defense Mechanism Fuck that, if they wanted to do something interesting they should have used the ultimate universe version, make her strive to be something like a journalist, heck if they wanted to do something different she could have wanted to become a cop or something so she trains how to investigate shit giving her reason to be part of spider-mans super hero life, for fuck sake there is like 50 different ways they could have done it, but they picked the lazy option. You can go ahead and like this all you want user, but I am not going to bother with this shit until they get the characters right. Plus I like redheads and the purging of redheads in media is fucking shit.
Jayden Young
Fuck all that shit. Get Raimi and Tobey back for Spider-Man 4 with Keanu as Kraven and you have yourself a guaranteed billion dollar rake in.
Nathan Price
>Spider Man, the kid who hangs out with Iron Man and helps save the world on a daily basis still has to worry about his rent and tuition fees >yeah it's because he's like, just a real dude with real problems
fuck Iron Man and fuck Disney, where is my Spider Man/Blade crossover?
>Get Raimi and Tobey back fuck Raimi >the studio didn't respect my vision so i'm gonna torpedo the movie spoilt brat
Michael Rivera
Tobey is, what, sixty now? I'm sure that'll go over well.
Carson Thompson
Make it into an animated movie and throw in Bruce Campbell as Mysterio and I would pay money to see it desu, it is the best way for them to move right now, will they do it? Fuck no! Sony and Disney are run by fucking idiots right now. Sony is in a good place to absolutely cuck Disney but they are too dumb to do it, while Disney is roughly in the same possession yet they are too dumb too. It is like watching a pair of retards play chess. There won't be a checkmate and the table will be flipped at least five times forcing them to restart every time, it is tiring.
Jace King
Speaking of retards. This reads like it was written by one. Holy shit user.
Leo Barnes
It's called drugged to hell with pain killers with 3 hours of sleep, do you like it?
Lucas Kelly
>throw in Bruce Campbell as Mysterio What is with Yea Forums's obsession with Campbell? His last good role was in 2002.
Juan Ross

It's amazing to think that all this disaster stems from Marvel's inability to think about the long run. They make an agreement like the one of 1998 with Sony with those absurd rules, and potentially unlimited time for them. Obvious that Marvel has slowly tried to regain control of Spider-man. Of course, Sony has strongly refused.
Their agreement is all absurdly in their favor, they have no reason to renegotiate something that would give them less power.
