>tom king still managed to fuck this up
Man has a gift desu
Bump
Anyone know the source series/issue of this image? I've been trying to find it for ages now with no luck.
Jack Kirby's 4th World by John Byrne
>perspective characters
What did he mean by this?
Someone post Batman punching a Robin
What waa the point of this series
To set a record for the biggest gulf between art and writing talent.
Well shit. Granny Goodness used to be sexy, huh?
In the next panel Osborn flings the coffee pot at the back of Daken's head in a fit of psychotic rage.
Who let Batman out without his carer? Catwoman needs to be within ten feet or he'll break down crying.
Dude. You're obsessed let it go
I just noticed Osborn is wearing a belt and suspenders lol
Let go of something that's still happening?
He needs all the support he can get to hold his massive Goblin dong back from bursting his pants.
Dredd is the only character in fiction that can be Lawful Neutral without being Lawful Stupid, and that's why he's an absolute treasure. It's gonna be a damn shame when he finally gets too old and has to experience the Minty treatment.
I imagine a lot of skyscrapers in New York have shatterproof windows.
Yeah, but there's "shatterproof" and "resists the force of a man with the proportional strength of a spider coming at you full swing"
It has nothing to do with this thread
Well of course Norman didn't want to KILL Gwen Stacy, he still wanted to put some more little Goblinos in her oven!
What did he do?
>ywn never have a dommy mommy
>I only lit the building on fire, the firefighters are the ones who killed everybody by not putting all the floors out
Didn’t the Death of Gwen Stacey happen on the George Washington bridge?
It's times like that you ignore the no-kill rule
Pretty sure Norman did die after killing Gwen.
In King's Miracle run Scott decides to remain in the omega sanction because it affords him (due to his origins as a new god) the opportunity to influence the already synthetic constructed reality and groom barda (and his son) to his liking.
Not kidding.
Time to re-read Kraven's Last Hunt.
Kinda fucked up, is Scott a villain in King's run or something?
For context, this is the first time Normie and Peter fought since Peter got his body back from Otto, who had been living as him for quite awhile.
I think many relationships are at thier maximum in Kraven's Last Hunt
actually I think the latest Hunted story kinda one-upped it
I mean you're not wrong but...
Hunted? I'm unfamiliar. What's that about?
It only just ended a few months ago. It's kinda like a loveletter to Kraven's Last Hunt.
The gist is that Kraven teams up with Arcade to trap all the animal themed heroes and villains in Central Park, where rich people then pay to use Iron Man-esque suits to hunt them.
it literally is wrong, there would literally be enough CO2 for plants if humans didn't exist at all, there are tons of CO2 producing creatures on this earth. Ivy could kill all of humanity and be just (physically) fine.
Sounds fun as hell. I'll have to check it out.
I thought it took it's time a bit getting going, but some of the issues were real bangers IMO. It's just issues #16-#23 of the current ASM run, and then there are bonus/tie in comics that are just appended with .HU at the end of the issue, ie #16.HU.
All of King's protagonists turn out to be shitty people. The point of the series was ostensibly "true freedom is being able to find happiness regardless of circumstance" but the choices King has Scott make become increasingly selfish as the series progresses. Until finally you realize Scott has chosen to remain in a personal fantasy and we're supposed to think this is a good thing.
Maybe it's a psychological ploy. Getting her to learn to love at least one human (Harley) using the CO2 thing as an excuse so she doesn't kill us all.
Something about keeping a straight face for your goons while ripping off Doctor Strange and thinking about Steven Seagal movies is so Felicia.
Beautiful issue, not enough people talk about JM Dematteis' Spectacular Spider-Man but the run is absolutely killer.
The revolving door of death in comics is the worst thing about the medium because it undoes great moments like this
Absolutely this. Last Hunt really was the perfect encapsulation of their relationship.
No it fucking didn’t. Not even in the same league.
What a fucking awkward page.
Why?
It’s easily one of the best Spidey runs of all time.
>The insanely contrived explanation to how Kraven got the clones which butchered High Evolutionary’s character
>The lack of explanation to why guys like Puma, who is literally the avatar of the animal, doesn’t count as an avatar
>The overall lesser quality in writing
While not a BAD story, it’s sure as Hell not in the same league as Last Hunt.
As someone who has yet to read mainline Spider-Man, what does Harry even do after being brought back? Is there anything significant enough that justifies his return, like Bucky becoming Winter Solder or Robin becoming Red Hood?
Like Cage: Cuck for Hire
I have no fucking idea, I don't keep up with Spidey anymore
Hearing about how the series ending is apparently supposed to be good is incredibly odd. Did Winston Smith get a good ending because he learned to love Big Brother’s boot on his face, stomping on it for the rest of time?
He changes his name because he doesn't want to be associated with Norman, handles Parker Industries until Peter fucks it all up and now he's working for another company and changed his name back to Osborn after the whole Red Goblin shit.
As much as I hated Slott’s run, this was a perfect page.
I thought that story was really stupid.
No
Marvel needs to reprint his run in an omnibus.
I can just imagine Harley and Ivy kissing and breathing into each other. Their breath one as it switches back and forth.
ouch that feels bad
>Did Winston Smith get a good ending because he learned to love Big Brother’s boot on his face, stomping on it for the rest of time?
You know what? 1984 is a really good parallel. It'd be like Winston being groomed to actually become Big Brother and then rewarded with a mind broken Julia slave wife to live out his new brutal existence with.
It was only a matter of time. Just look what they did to the Wall.
Zdarsky's run has captured Matt so well. I feel like it's a really definitive run so far
I’ll never forgive Bendis for skipping over years of stories and moments like this
