We got that in Spectacular, and in that show, MJ didn't become a love interest. The last time we got MJ as Peter's love interest was Spider-Man Unlimited.

Honestly, not that much. He's in the first few episodes, they rush him getting powers and becoming a hero, and after two or three episodes of that, he fucks off for the rest of season one until Spider Island.

Sony doesn't care about Spectacular any more than Disney/Marvel does. It took them years to release the Complete Second Season on DVD, even after the BD release.

It's almost like Marvel makes ALL money on Spider-Man merchandise, which is worth far more than any movie tickets.

Is Venom an antihero in this? I always liked it more when Venom and Spidey teamed up and bantered. This makes me wonder if Disney Marvel are actually gonna work on a good deal to get Spiderman back in the mcu with Venom. I don't buy that rumor about it but seems like an obvious thing they'd want. Especially with this show coming up.

Ultimate 2012? Yeah, I'd say so but not by much. I also don't like Ultimate in general so I might be biased. The fight scenes are definitely better in 2017 though, but they're still pretty shit compared to 2008.
