That's not Sonic; it's Sonik.

I don't get it at all, could someone explained.

"Thank you, Cutie."

God Axer is good
Quadrant and corrupt sector that robotnik is located

It'a kinda amazing how the Archie Sonic comics just had literally nothing to do with the games. Like, at all.

Early Archie Sonic did present some elements and themes from the games while maintaining its own unique flair, but after the 50th issue, it was steering away from the games as Penders was gaining the total control over the writing.

It was better that way. The game elements were best relegated to special 'game adaptation' issues like the Sonic & Knuckles Special or the Sonic CD issue. The games are fun to play, but the lore is a joke.

That became a problem when Sonic Adventure was adapted into the comics.

Which is about the point when they lost most of their readers, oddly enough. (hence why those issues are really tough to track down)

Sonic comics are weird

I wonder if this comic would have worked better if it had Manak as the artist. They did a lot of fun, tongue-in-cheek parody stories early on and those were all pretty good.

It was just really unfortunate that Adventure included so much stuff that directly contradicted Archie's stuff.
But I feel like Archie's staff should have realized at that point that they might have taken their version of Sonic too far, but instead they doubled down and the comic got really shitty.

Bollers bringing in his own brand of bullshit didn't help matters

I feel like the stupid Adventure stuff would have worked all right if they just explained it all away as an alternate dimension. It's not like the comic didn't have an entire lore centered around bizarre alternate dimensions in the first place.

Archie dug themselves into a corner when Adventure was announced and had no choice but to give Sonic his Uekawa appearance

'splaining his green eyes was just dumb. It's just a stylistic choice. Sonic's eyes didn't need to go through a physical mutation. Dumb Archie.

They should have just silently redesigned him and left it at that. Why they decided to make his green eyes and shoe buckles a plot point is beyond me.
