Some user tries to get Yea Forums to put their money where their mouth is and launches a project of an all-female all-black OC superhero team. Enter idea guys who make up a handful of OCs with various powers, backgrounds and personalities, and really no fetish appeal. Some drawfags chime in with prospective designs of variable quality and immediately porn beggers start asking for lewds of the characters, which of course some drawfags deliver. Fast forward a couple of threads and you have

That's because aside from drawfags almost everyone on Yea Forums is an idea man with no talents of their own. Rather than trying to work towards a single idea that a bunch of us kinda like, everyone wants to steer a project into being about whatever they personally want to do. It's a problem of too many cooks. Katawa Shoujo started as a drawing of some crippled anime girls on Yea Forums and became a dating sim. That's such a niche audience that most of the board wouldn't even care about the project and it had a very clear goal of what it set out to do. Most Yea Forums projects usually either start out so vague they could become almost anything or a random mishmash of things that makes Bartkira seem normal. The other thing is a total lack of any form of curation. In order for a project to be successful, it needs to eventually leave Yea Forums because getting a collaborative project done anonymously is impossible. You can't take any random suggestion posted and add it to the project because that's how shit eventually gets so unfocused that the people working on it lose interest. It's called "feature creep" in game design. Most of Yea Forums is useless and won't actually contribute any of the hard work to the project, just ideas, so finding drawfags and other content creators interested in the project and setting up a way to keep in contact should be a high priority and focus on what they want to do in order to keep their interest. If any project gets some momentum Yea Forums will do it's best to shit on it because Yea Forums loves the idea of a project but hates the idea of the project not being what they want it to be. Getting run off of Yea Forums quickly would be a good sign. And having thick skin isn't something Yea Forums is known for.

The last problem is that these projects, not being one's day job, tend to stretch on for years KS was in development for 5 years before it was released. The Half-Life fan game was in development for 7 before releasing anything and 14 years later it still isn't really done. Something like making a team of black female superheroes made basically out of spite can't really hold someone's interest for years. It can't be based on a fad that's likely to die out as fast as fidget spinners.

So this is why Yea Forums hates Yea Forums Yea Forums Yea Forums and /pol/

Again, that's revisionism. The project didn't start as fetishbait at all. The original OP wasn't the same as the one who made the later threads (because the latter was me, meaning it wasn't my idea to begin with, and I had no intention of it turning into fetish faggotry either).
Note that I said threads, plural, as in it garnered enough interest to justify those.
Fetishfagss came around and a couple of artfags enabled them, drawing in more fetishfags. Then an artfag had a meltdown and started shitting up everything (while delivering lewd which made everything worse) because someone shit talked one drawing (I'm still unclear of which drawing it was), and yes others begged for porn of the one character there was already plenty of art of (Bounce).
