I've been reading early Morrison, and I'm not enjoying it so far. I didn't like Animal Man, his early Batman comics, or his early indie/one-shot comics. So I'm making my way through Doom Patrol, which people say is one of his best, and I'm not enjoying it either (I've just been introduced to the Brotherhood of Dada). Does Doom Patrol get significantly better as it goes on?

Honestly he's just not for some people. If you aren't liking it I'd just drop it.

I've already read and liked everything he did with Frank Quitely (especially Pax Americana), and many years ago I liked The Invisibles and The Filth, but I have to revisit those. After Doom Patrol I have to read his Bat Epic and Seven Soldiers. I'm just asking if Doom Patrol really is one of his best or if it was nostalgia or something.

Trump got elected with the help of meme magic. Meme magic is literally just another name for the type of chaos magic that Morrison uses. It makes sense he'd know about it before anyone else.

Grant Morrisons best work is typically considered to be like all star superman, his JLA run, his batman run, and the invisibles. His doom patrol run is good but it's so weird that people gloss over it.

I'll have to read through it again before I go there.
I've definitely seen people vouch for Doom Patrol in several places, some claiming it's his absolute best.

All-Star Superman is my favorite, but Doom Patrol is a close second.

I haven't seen the collected editions. In the single issues, there are letters in the back of almost every issue.
