Hey thats pretty rad
Looks kind of sterile. I mean, the Pym building looks very sterile...
Isnt that the aesthetic the new Avengers has been going for?
Hey wait a second, what is that?
>Microscope enlarge!
Uh-oh!
>laboratory looks sterile
user...
it's okay they'll just use Night Monkey instead
wasn't universal studios' take on this kind of way better?
disney should think for a second and realize the 'in-universe' route wouldn't work for Marvel; their world is just ours with extra shit in it. and if they were going to have locations then have kamar taj from Dr Strange and tony stark's house or something, not a bunch of sterile labs.
Are there any rides or attractions, or is it just Galaxy's edge 2.0?
I hope that they put giant statue of Giant-Man close to the Pym building
Cool, reminds me of pokemon stadium too.
Spider-Man can still hang out at the theme park, he just can't make any movies while doing so.
Jesus Christ Raimi
Need a Thanos somewhere.
People are overreacting, the jews of each company were caught in the midle of negotiations. They don't remember it was more or less the same shit with the first deal or with the fox adquisition. Well at least we got that indian condom company ad.
I remember there was a leaked transcript of one of the initial pre-Civil War meetings, and they proposed an insulting deal to Feige, and didn't understand why he wasn't happy.
No he can't hang out in theme parks, dummy, he's Sony's property, not Disney's
The reason Spider Man is in any of this pics is because the whole thing went down too close to D23 for anyone to change things up, that's why he's featured in the posters even though he's technically not with Disney anymore
Amy Paschal also threw a sandwich at Feige and told him to "get the fuck out".
And the sandwich incident, if the first deal survived that then no big deal.
have a bigger picture? wanna see where carol's stuff is.
God damnit, I want Amy Paschal to stop on my balls and call me a retard about character license UUNNGGHG
This is why I don't understand people try to portray a narrative where Sony is at all competent or in the right in this situation. Like, the Disney copyright stuff and ethics are ridiculous, but Sony Pictures is run by completely greedy idiots.
Because there's been a sudden upcropping of edgy wokests who paint The Mouse as the ultimate evil, and recently trying to push Sony as the "underdogs".
Feige went through all that shit just to get Sony's character in his Marvel movies, that's why I think they will come to an agreement
If I was Feige though I'd tell them to fuck off and shove Spidey up their ass
Or they could have dr strange’s building in new york. Id love to see that in person and see his cape in a glass case inside
>If I was Feige though I'd tell them to fuck off and shove Spidey up their ass
How hard would the mouse have to press to get Sony Pictures from the parent company? I wonder if the commifornians at SIE would be for it internally id they thought they'd get more money to make playstations.
I don't think you can see the third stall in the men's bathroom from an aerial view.
Yeah, they could have done a whole New York city block with shit like the avengers tower, dr.strange's house, queens and shit like that. Instead they went with some very generic looking structures.
>no Stark Tower
>no Baxter Building
>no X-Mansion
>no Sanctum Sanctorum
whats the point
>no Stark Tower
there's an oldschool logo Stark building though
Spider-Man ride which from everything leaked so far is basically just Toy Story Mania with a minor twist, and the land will probably extend to include the existing Guardians/Tower ride. I think there's theories that it's got space for another ride that just hasn't been announced yet/probably won't be available at opening.
Sony only has film rights, theme parks and everything else is Disney. While yes, his movie appearance probably wouldn't have been on banners if the deal fell through earlier on (and this is assuming negotiations are completely dead), he'd still be featured on anything else Disney stands to profit off of, which includes his ride.
it's too late, Japs were considering getting rid of Sony Pictures because it was the one thing that was bringing the entire company down, but that was years ago
The details of what’s actually in this area are really sad:
>the guardians ride that is already there
>only other ride will be spider-man(HAHAHAHA) and the plans reveal it is exactly the same ride as Toy Story Mania just with a Spider-Man Reskin, the track and gaming mechanism is exactly the same.
>Stark Industries gift shop (gotta have a gift shop)
>Pym themed beer garden (prepare for $40 cocktails like Galaxys Edge)
>character meet and greet area
And that’s all, no room or plan for expansion.
>Sony only has film rights
No, they don't own just the film rights, they own everything about him, like literally they own the character and his entire roster
They OWN him, and Sony could've become the Disney of Marvel but they decided to only buy Spider Man
Oh, almost forgot that building on the upper right. That’s for a stage show. I can’t imagine an Avengers stage re-enactment in a theme park, even with Disney money, being anything but terrible and possibly very cringe like broadway Spider-Man.
The Pym building is a ride. Rumor is it's a Quantum Realm exploration, not the Tokyo Disney Ant man/wasp ride
>they own everything about him
then explain how a disney owned company is allowed to print his comics, idiot.
They're both the horse's yoni.
Judging from the Cap shield throwing patents from a couple of years ago I doubt that.
Neat. Now bring back the PeopleMover.
Thw rumor is that including the Guardians Tower, the Marvel Land will have 4 rides as of opening day with another 2 in development.
So they're gunning for 6 rides in the area. Not a bad start compared to galaxy's edge
How many of actively follow theme parks but never actually been to any of them
Because it's Marvel comics, still, Sony owns the character and Marvel has to consult Sony if any big changes happen in the comics
They could have done so a few years ago.
You're a funny guy.
It isn't. They just slapped the logo on it for theming, but it's just the backside of the Animation Academy. Unless of course they end up ripping everything out of that building. The thing in front of it with the overhang and the yellow umbrellas is the Ant-Man microbrewery. The rumored extra ride space is (in the concept art) between the doorway under the jet and the Doctor Strange area, or the big empty white space next to the parking lot in this pic, but that could just as well end up being a meet and greet area.
They should tear down Galaxy's Edge to make room for a Marvel expansion, tee bee aych.
Not bad for a microbrewery
>no argument
lmao, Sony still owns Spider Man no matter what some dumb fuck says
>dumb fuck
Well, at least someone's being honest with themselves
Grace is having a laugh
Not only that but this was already finished when talks broke apart
Fuckin kek
Or an actual size statue of Giant Man
what do you think he meant by giant? 9 feet tall? ten?
>Ant-Man Microbrewery
Kek clever girl
Antman 3 confirmed.
Who?
65 feet youtu.be
This does not look like it can hold a candle against Universal's Harry Potter, and I mean the actual, already finished portion of the park.
Disney has not done anything impressive since Mission Mars.
>Who?
fucking lol, her entire comics career consists of nearly nothing.
In 2009, the first comic book Randolph wrote was DC Comics's Justice League Unlimited #41.[7] She went on to write Boom! Studios' Muppet Peter Pan, which was a reinterpretation of Peter Pan as a Muppet story.[8] In 2010, she wrote Her-oes, a comic book mini-series about the teenage years of some of Marvel Comics' most famous female Avengers.[9][10] In 2011, she wrote for Archaia's Fraggle Rock comic.[11]
In 2012, Randolph created and wrote the original comic book series, Grace Randolph's Supurbia, which was published by Boom! Studios.[4][12][13][14] Supurbia is a Real Housewives interpretation of the superhero genre, which "explores the drama of superheroes' personal lives" within the context of a suburban lifestyle.[15][16][17] It was initially intended to be a limited, four-issue series, but was renewed due to popular interest and spawned another twelve issues.[18][19]
She has also written for Marvel Comics' X-Men: Nation X.[8][20]
If you shoot yourself in the face you will go where Carol's stuff is.
Disney owns merchandise rights
They can still put a guy in a costume on their parts and sell shirts and toys, so long as they don't make a new movie with them
It's too bad Harry Potter is an objectively bad franchise. There's a crazy amount of love put into its sections in the Universal parks that I wish a good IP could get a turn with.
Actually, judging by what we've seen from supposed leaked models, Nintendo's section in the new Orlando park could be spectacular.
Sony knows they've got what Disney wants. FFH made them a billion dollars and Disney proposed a deal where Sony would get a much smaller piece of the pie, so they told them to go fuck themselves.
They're absolutely in the right and it's a perfectly competent move since it's not like Disney is gonna try and make Brie Larson the face of their franchise or whatever after how popular Holland has become. They'll be back within the next month or so at the absolute latest and come to an agreement, because their only other option is to take some lamewad literally who like Kamala Kahn or the Eternals and try to make them bigger than fucking Spider-Man.
where did the night monkey meme come from?
>broadway Spider-Man
>cringe
Confirmed for not having seen it. The songs all sucked and the plot was a shittier version of the first Raimi movie, but fuck me if my heart didn't flutter when Spider-Man swung through the air, did a backflip, landed on the balcony right in front of me, and run through the aisles.
sadly that broadway musical had too many accidents.
What're the odds that they've got one of these swinging around the Spider-Man ride at regular intervals?
youtu.be
Like literally just dress it in a Spidey suit, position those scaffolds behind the building facade so it looks like it's part of the training facility, then have some CM's strap it into the harness, launch it, retrieve it from the net, and repeat every 10 mins or so.
Spider-Man was appearing at Disneyland while the Andrew Garfield movies were coming out, retard. Sony literally just owns the movie rights (and maybe some of the game rights).
Oh definitely, but when it worked? The footage doesn't do it justice, unironically one of the most spectacular things I've ever seen.
>Spider-Man Mania
>Mission Breakout
>Avengers/Quinjet Coaster e-ticket
>Doctor Strange Show
You have the power to make two more attractions based on whatever in the MCU you want, what do you do?
Far From Home. Peter needs an alias so his classmates don't notice Spider-Man showing up on their trip whenever he disappears, so SHIELD makes him a temporary suit and Ned, running cover, tells the classmates that it's a European vigilante named Night Monkey.
>Thor dark ride using the same kind of system as Transformers and Spider-Man, where Thor takes you on a tour of the Nine Realms via the Bifrost
>clone of Dumbo the Flying Elephant, but it's Thanos-Copters
Could be Night Monkey
Ant-Man ride with size changing shenanigans and an Iron Man themed coaster that's as thrilling as the Hulk coaster or a top tier Cedar Point ride.
The funny part was it caught on and random euros keep referring to him as Night Monkey.
Best post, truest post.
>Disney land rather than Disney world
Lol so they want it to fail?
I was thinking the same thing being Galaxy's Edge 2.0.
Like, won't it be risky to make one like it after the Star Wars films flop. Who is to say if the Disney's versions for Marvel won't end up disastrous?
Cool
Well they can't Marvel on the East Coast as Orlando has the rights on lockdown.
Marvel Superhero Island vs. Avengers Campus
Which one is for chads, which is for incels?
They can, but it has to be characters that don't appear at all at Universal.
So, no Spider-man, X-men, Fantastic Four, Avengers, Black Panther, or Inhumans.
an island is where incels are excommunicated to, a campus is where college chads go to to fuck co-eds
>Superhero Island
>Has Doom
>Not Chad
Late response but you don't actually think this, do you?
