Why does it feel like I'm the only who remembers this pseudo crossover event? Everyone talks about Grim Adventures of KND, but never this. I remember the long ass build up they had to this event with those three aliens

This kind of freaked the shit out of me back in the day, but it was a really cool event
Idk if there was anything special about it, all shows involved just decided to air episodes about ayys within the same week without any interconnecting element beyond that
It was the same group of aliens in every episode, all with an obsession for cheese.
The Foster's episode was the worst one.
Yeah that
It all came to a head in the Billy and Mandy one
The consequence of it being the setup to the alien plot and the actual aliens never appearing outside of a film cameo, so when viewed as its own thing, it's kind of pointless.
>without any interconnecting element beyond that
So it was. I only remember never seeing any actual aliens outside of the Billy and Mandy ep so it didn't feel like much of a crossover (but on the bright side, each episode could be watched separately without losing any context)
>jimmy's fucking nightmare about the aliens

Missed opputurnity for not having Ben 10 be a part of this, considering he can turn into aliens
Also Squirrel Boy should have been there
I wish they'd try something like this again, but I think the inherent problem was that the shows weren't really expected/told to directly tie in with the overarching narrative. Probably wouldn't work either way, same way big comic events are when they get passed around from writer and writer
I remember it too.
Why didn't they use KND?
Yeah it was pretty weird, especially cause of the cameo at the end of the Grim episode
IIRC KND was one of the first episodes that showed the aliens
I dont if this was true or not but the reason for why the aliens were all about getting cheese its because this whole special was sponsored by Kraft Foods but for some reason the deal fell off and CN decided to air the episodes anyway
The narrative works decently, almost like a generic monster flick.
>Fosters has you wondering if the aliens actually exist or if Cheese was just being an ESL again
>EEnE confirms the aliens do exist in the last few seconds
>Monkey show makes you question if the aliens are able to disguise themselves while also referencing the event that oocured in EEnE
>Camp Lazlo gives you the full design of the aliens and a hint of their goal on Earth
>Billy and Mandy features their full plan and the final battle against them, leading to their defeat
It works, but just barely.
As I recall, when the Billy & Mandy episode aired in later reruns, they replaced this credits scene with one that showed what the KND were doing during all of this.
>Squirrel Boy
Pure autism.
End credits scenes in question

Funnily enough, this event actually aired months before Grim Adventures of KND, so maybe it was a mini tease like how the MCU does it.
>CN Invaded
>Grim Adventures of KND
>CN City
Where has the time gone
Zoomerfaggot
>this occured right around when I was graduating high school
TAKE ME BACK
Yeah, I remember this. But I didn't think much of it back then besides finding it weird that the same aliens appeared in these different shows.
Correct. Only zoomer faggots like that show.
Hey Satan
I really miss this era, back when CN had creativity for the crossovers in special episodes and CN City
Now all of them happens because they share the same cancer art style and shitty humor
Oh yeah, this the first of several times Ed, Edd, n Eddy was brought back for "one final" episode.
>Kevin is shirtless and oiled in Jimmy's dreams
Did Ed just turn the general retarded?
CN was already on its way out by then
I remember reading this a long time ago but I can't remember where or find any real source but apparently this was part of a promotion/sponsorship with Kraft Singles but in the last minute Kraft pulled out of the deal.
Same
Wasn't the idea for a network-wide crossover already autistic? What makes Squirrel Boy being involved any different?
Oh this shit -_- yeah I remember how amazing and hyping up the promos were only to get nothing.
I thought they were animating new episodes starring episodes. They even lie about "all brand new episodes". I also expected to make a genuine crossover episode.
Reminded me a lot of the great promos for Flapjack where I was expecting a genuinely good show with good graphics only to get shit.
I was done with cable by 2007.
How would co do it with new shows?
Does CN even has enough original shows to make that happen? I can only think of one with SU but that's because that's the only current show they still have IIRC
all of the shows in the alien event are zoomershit anyways
Ben 10? Adventures Time? OK KO? Regular Show? I mean, Ed, Edd Eddy was brought back for this special.
they have plenty
>Steven universe
>ok ko
>mao mao
>Summer camp island
>Craig of the creek
>apple and onion
>infinity train
>Victor and Valentino
>we bare bears
>the new ben 10
and I still think I'm forgetting some
Another good way to show that Billy is technically smart. Or at least have some grasp of common sense despite his stupidity.
Isn't IT just a miniseries?
It sounds cooler when you explain it
I remember it and loved the ed edd and eddy epsiode. The others were okay. Also it's weird it had different endings it feels like this was going to be a new show but then decided not at the last minute.
Nostalgia has that effect on me
>Ed, Edd Eddy was brought back for this special
Wasn't EE&E on its sixth season before one of their animators died?
I've never forgotten about this event. One of my favorites as a kid
It was weird
