Do you think he managed to beat Skull Master the 2nd time around, or is he doomed to repeat his adventures in a timeloop?

Of course he did.

I like to think he pulled it off on the second try

My bet is that it took him many try’s and memorizing patterns before finding the ultimate path to stopping Skull Master and closing the loop.

The real question is, did he fuck Bea?

Attached: Bea.png (450x360, 114K)

He probably wouldn't fuck up and let Skullmaster escape the center of the Earth. Or just go ahead and kill him with Magus like he should have.

Only in the one timeloop that had all the porn in it.

considering even Virgil is aware of the loop, they closed that shit down QUICKLY. It's one thing to have a Max with preptime, but a Virgil with preptime is as invincible as six Clock Kings.
This time Virgil lived, Hanuman lived, they were all okay.
And this happened. Several times. Per day.

where's the full uncropped version of the screenshot of Bea in her bathing suit from that one episode

iunno but I need to draw more 34 of her. Always with something funny and show-appropriate about the scenario.

is this a real thing or some fan mockup?

I'm quite certain a full release doesn't exist, hence the fan restoration project

this is the one I was talking about by the way

grrowr

He repeated his adventures, but then woke up as Fantastic Max

This is most likely. Especially since it'd be good writing to have his character grow over the course of several loops.

This show needs a revival, more than almost any other cartoon.

eew.
I don't know, it can't really BE anymore. Can you imagine it without tim curry and tony jay?
what it needs is a spiritual successor. Another show where any goddamn thing can happen, somehow both an anthology and a continuous episodic story at the same time. scifi, fantasy, historical shit, any kind of adventure at any time, while still keeping things grounded because he goes home after each one and chills out and has a normal life. With a male main character who's flawed but not an idiot. that'd be nice.
I wonder how many of the old writers are still alive. Just ask them to make a new show, man. and .. I guess fund it with money that doesnt exist, on a network with standards that will allow what it needs in order to be so great... and dredge up a similarly-nonexistent toy company that won't sabotage and ruin the merch

Might Max nightmare fuel.

That's scary as fuck or my name isn't...

A big pile of circus peanuts!

Kinda depends.

Does Skullmaster remember?

Yes! A big pile of- NO! That is not my name!

>You look familiah... BOOYEEE!

I've prefer if he fucked Jiffy.

Attached: J.jpg (1605x1053, 64K)

Jiffy was hot, but Bea fucking loved him
Besides Jiffy was a bimbo. she's more of a match for Felix.

Considering he continuously grows and keeps his memories every loop, he's bound to Edge of Tomorrow a victory sooner or later.

Didn't that basically die as well since the guy doing it ran out of good sources to use?

yep.

Alright, we'll do both.

As in, let Max do Jiffy and Bea. Should have worded it better.

He would get about a dozen of opportunities to stop Skull Master every time loop, and I'm sure he would be attempting to make sure he beat him permanently each attempt. I'm sure he beat him at least by the time the finale rolls around again.

A bimbo bookwork... that's a weird combo

>Max cameos in Polly Pocket

wasnt her literacy just kind of in a preppy way though
is there a current polly pocket franchise?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polly_Pocket_(TV_series)

I don't know if it's still going, though.

Presumably Skull Master also knows he's in the loop so all of Virgil and Skull Master's preptime will be for nothing.

why would he get to know? he didn't touch the thing and use it.

Both he and Max were touching it and Virgil was dead and he retained knowledge of the loop.

Virgil is special. he knows a lot of things
I'd give Skeletor 40% odds at best, that he knows about it. And if so, we're kinda fucked, because he's waaay more conniving
could make for an interesting show though. This time through he just gives up, and nobody knows if they should trust him or what, but he just realizes it's better to retire a (still pretty impressive) 10,000 year old warlord in control of a polynesian island than to keep fighting with a preteen forever.

I bet after a couple of loops, Max will start low% and 100% speedruns of defeating Skullmaster just for kicks.

Wasn't it Max that called the loop, though? Maybe that's why Virgil remembered.

Can someone tell me why the fuck this hasn't been released on DVD yet?

My dad liked watching this show with me because of the owl wizard. He really loves owls and has a room full of owl figures. He even owned an owl before Harry Potter made them a meme pet.

He was a pretty shitty father otherwise so this show is one of the few good memories I have of him. His ashes are now in some random dumpster out there.

it's hard to justify releasing any DVDs anymore. who's gonna pay to watch a show?

sorry to hear user

>not stuffing his ashes into an owl

>Fowl, actually

why would you pay for cremation if you didnt care what happened to the ashes?

Attached: virgil bitch what.jpg (210x240, 18K)

You make it sound like the cremation couldn't have been part of the process of his passing

hmm, i think i might be in a little bit of a dark place right now.

it never occurred to me what might happen to the overall ash and refuse after a fire. weird.
hey man life's got those dark places, sometimes you've gotta examine em. Mighty Max had a great episode and lesson about Max losing his lunch seeing real carnage, after mistakenly thinking action/horror movies had prepared him... but the more subtle and useful lesson is about how real life has sheltered the fuck out of him compared to what his great grandpa probably saw regularly.

Hm, if Max knew of the timeloop, would he use his experiences to his advantage to woo Jiffy/Bea?(IE, helping them with homework, dating, etc)

Attached: J2.jpg (320x232, 19K)

honestly it's fucking weird living that MUCH of your life over again... and each time you make a change, the knowledge is less useful

Doesnt mean your previous tries lack any use.

how doesn't it mean that?

As in, even if some of the events change, at least Max's knowledge of his friends n foes (Before he got his hat) would stay the same, which allows Max to take advantage of the info when needed.

i mean okay, yeah. they'll never be completely useless.
but he's also going to have trouble remembering everything. Virgil's going to have to help with that a lot.

Ooh, good point. I wonder if Virgil could write notes which Max could bring back to the past?

here's the real question
what if he fucking did, and that's what that wall of prophecy was about?

Though at that time I presume the guys who did the wall of prophecy wrote it in advance(Or had future vision shit).

I mean yeah obviously, that's... what anyone would think before I suggested this suggestion.

no vidya?

Is there actually a DVD set or is it just a fake thing with eps ripped from VHS.

Definitively. The advantage of having knowledge from before you reversed time allows you to alter the events in your favor (or at least limit the severity of certain events if you cannot alter them completely).

wait, they did keep their memories of the loop?

I was under the impression they all forgot, which basically locked Skull Master in the loop while Max got free by sending the hat back to himself.

I think Max reacts to some Virgil message as if he remembered, or something, right there at the end. "This time, don't be late" or something.

what episode was this from by the way?

I can guess Max was in a bathing suit here as well

s1e10

wasn't the same message as the first time?

Well, in the very first episode, Max unwittingly had a chance to, but ultimately didn't, destroy that big ass soul crystal Skullmaster has. Just armed with the knowledge of how destroying that shit will fuck up Skullmaster's plans is invaluable, provided Max can survive the first encounter and still smash it. In doing so he'd also save the lives of Monkey King, Beowulf and the other heroes who helped him out, all on his first outing.

Wait, the heroes episode WAS when he destroyed that crystal for real, right? Did they ever explain how Skull master fixed it? Virgil offhandedly remarks he did during the final two parter but didn't go into detail.

My rip of this is garbage. Who owns the rights? Tell them to put it on Netflix so we can rip it for archival sake.

It was incredibly ambitious for a toy commercial. It does a better job of being Doctor Who than modern Doctor Who.

I think he's always had the ability to MAKE one, he had one 10,000 years ago, the tricky bit is getting a lot of people to give up their souls to fuel it, making their bodies into his undead warriors, and each time one breaks he has to start over.

...right! He had to trick an island full of people into giving up their souls to do it, didn't he?
If Skullmaster is stuck in the center of the earth without an active crystal, then he's not going to get a new one until he's back on the surface.

This cartoon was basically Dark Souls

Honestly I dunno, missed a lot of episodes and dialogue when I watched it. Would have to pay attention to his reaction on the first episode.

It was essentially the same, but with “And this time, don’t take so long” at the end.
