To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Grant Morrison. His comics are extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of esoteric Tibetan Buddhism most of the plot will go over a typical reader's head. There's also Grant's gnostic outlook, which is deftly woven into his great work- his hypersigils draw heavily from the Gospel of Thomas, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these adult graphic novels, to realise that they're not just funny books- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Grant Morrison truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the tantric shakti inherent in The Filth which itself is a cryptic allegory of the life of Christ. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Grant Morrison's genius wit unfolds itself on the printed page. What fools.. how I pity them.
And yes, by the way, i DO have a tattoo of King Mob. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only (and some men!) - and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid

I think it's primarily still pointing to Gardner Fox's base ideas for Multiverses (which really is just a way to indirectly talk about the creative process, getting ideas from "dreams," which Morrison expanded to include drugs, and consuming art by other people.) The main difference is that Morrison is using the same framework to show the dissemination of "bad ideas."

Ackshyually while whether he used it WELL is another question Snyder directly referenced the map in both Metal and League, albeit to shill his OC dimensions. It turned up in Milk Wars too, a big girl I’m told was a 5D imp but I can’t find the source for apparently left some coffee stains on it. Superman Rebirth had him fighting a giant stealing the powers of supermen all over the multiverse with Justice Incarnate too
