Ouch.
It also has Iron Man.
Y’know, the guy who died.
Gotta keep forcing her, can't let up or people will know she's failed
i thought Grace hated the MCU

This is almost as cringy as the whole snydercut thing

deal confirmed in flames. it's over bros
How about this
Disney gets the Sony movies for Disney+
Disney agrees to split revenue from Spiderverse merch with Sony 50/50.
Disney splits MCU merch with Sony 75/25.
Disney gets half of box office and cofinances movies.
Poster was probably commissioned back in April
Imagine asking that bland chunky dope questions as if she's a better authority than your average shitposter.
Oh and social media screencaps should be bannable.
Would probably be fair, so I doubt that will be proposed.
Didn’t fail in any way, conspiracy theories aside.
It did in that the film, at least somewhat, damaged the brand. Otherwise, we wouldnt be talking about it. Compare it to... ohhhh... any other MCU movie. You dont see as many haters pop up.
Lol get off Yea Forums, it had the highest performance of literally any Marvel movie outside of the 4 Avengers movies or Black Panther.
>implying anybody cares about incels in the 'alita army'
Why would you publicise its 6.0 rating.
This, excepted not based.
Why don't you respond to the substance of the post?
I'm not the guy you replied to. I just wondered why you'd attach an image demonstrating how shit it was while denying how shit it was.
>damaged the brand
Yeah Endgame and Far From Home sure did suffer
Fuck off back to your retard board
>denying how shit it was.
Where?
The latest Star Wars movie made billions and damaged the brand
This movie did not damage Avengers but nobody is exited about not having the main Avengers and having her among the new leads
>nobody is exited about not having the main Avengers and having her among the new leads
source?
well i mean everyone besides hulk, hawkeye and thor are gone and there's no guarantee banner'll show up any time soon
>Last Jedi damaged the star wars brand
>not the prequels but TLJ
you're retarded.Go back to Yea Forums.
Why would they split revenue for Spiderverse? Isn't that entirely Sony?
silly user, dont you remember disney created spiderman while some old fart named stan lee pretended he did?
Didn't you see endgame? If RDJ or hemsworth couldn't make her likeable (and considering the best they could think to do is literally have thor say "I like her") she's not likeable
Except everybody likes her except incels, so your premise is wrong.
I didnt say it destroyed the brand, and I even used the qualifier "somewhat" when I say it "somewhat damaged" the brand. Jeez, read some. You can say what you want, but a lot of people are turned off by Brie. Yes, it made tons of money, but lets see how a Cap Marvel II movie does. No way to know but sit and wait and see if they even announce one.
The fact that Disney kept upping Chris Evan's and RDJ's paycheck's to stay and probably would have kept doing so if the actors had been willing to stay on. They were a big draw and not having them now is going to be tough. I'd be surprised if people would stomach an avengers team lead by Cap Marvel.
People were excited to have a trilogy not lead by Lucas. All the downfalls of the prequels could be blamed squarely on him. Shit really hit the fan after TLJ. Thats why the next film flopped, because people were pissed with Star Wars overall because of it.
Ok well these banners were probably made weeks in advanced sooooo who cares? It doesn’t mean anything
I bet you whoever is in charge of that banner is probably sweating bullets right now because of how misconstrued the banner itself is gonna come off thanks to idiots like OP
>everybody likes her
no one even knows who she is and those who do wonder why she's so incompetent.
He hasn't seen any threads for it on Yea Forums so that means no one in the entire world cares because it turns out there are people who are seriously that retarded on this site
Disney owns the characters and the rights to create merchandise of them. Merchandise that can promote the film's release.
I imagine there would have to be a clause that A) Disney would MAKE merchandise and not just try to starve them out like Ike does, and B) the merchandise would be quality. Of course, Disney would retain the revenue from merch based on the comics and their own original animated projects.
Even people I know who liked Captain Marvel the movie didn't like Brie Larson
>Disney still owns Black Panther, X-Men, Ant-Man, Dr.Strange, Gaurdians of the Galaxy is still bulletproof
I think they're fine if Spider-Man isn't on the stupid collage, why do people care or think Marvel is nothing without Spidey?
none of those are nearly as mainstream as Spider-Man
the MCU thrived without him, it will be fine, but losing him isn't exactly nothing either
I am glad that spidey will have nothing to do with disney woke and feminist plans for the mcu
Marvel's new trinity after Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor
Except it's now two after the Marvel/Sony deal broke. Hope they're still talking so a deal can be made
Disney offered a 50/50 deal. That would have been fair fo that. Only merchandise needs to be discussed
reminder that disneyland is/was getting a spiderman ride
Disney isnt going to give up any merch rights. You'd be crazy to think they would. The merch makes waaaay more than the movies.
Also, it wasnt just 50/50 Disney wanted. They wanted 50/50 on all Spiderman movies and all OTHER Spiderman-related movies Sony makes. Currently Sony can make stuff link Venom, Carnage, etc and Disney gets nothing from it (minus the merch, they get all that profit, but nothing from the movies themselves). They wanted a 50/50 cut of the Spiderman-Related films and to basically have all creative control over them too. Basically, they wanted Spiderman and all the rights back and they'd throw some money at Sony each time a film came out.
I think they both failed but I side with Disney considering how hard Sony has shit the bed with Spidey and for how long. And with most major box office titles they make now-a-days, really.
Disney bought tickets

kek
>cosmic book news
Disney still owns the comic and ride rights.
can't they just do a universal style deal where they're still allowed to use Spider-Man in the main Avengers movies
>>Last Jedi damaged the star wars brand
>>not the prequels but TLJ
It's true, have you been living under a rock? At most during the prequel era you had Jar Jar stuff stuck on shelves at clearance prices, maybe some other stuff from Phantom Menace, but the last few years Star Wars sequel trilogy stuff hasn't really been moving.
Disney actually doesn't own the comic for Spider Man, they may own Marvel but if some radical change is about to happen they still need to consult Sony
And the whole ride thing was 100% due to the Sony/Disney deal, that's why Disney has a lot to lose here, more so than Sony
How about this? Fuck Spider Man, it's X Men time now
As far as i know, that ride is still happening at California Adventure, the thing is with Spider-Man, Disney can continue to profit from his merchandising alone even if he no longer appears in the MCU
the only thing Disney has the rights to is the toys and merchandising for Spider Man, everything else is not a thing, like the ride, literally they were capitalizing on Spider Man as their main attraction at Marvel land or whatever it's called
This is why an interesting deal would be to split the merchandising profits with Sony, but I bet Perlmutter will fucking hate that and then you can be sure as fuck that Spider Man will get crippled in the comics as long as Sony holds the rights, which means forever
>Captain Marvel is popular!
>The movie made a billion!
>you incels really think Disney would buy up tickets to inflate sale!?
>this story breaks this week
Hmmmmm........
>The only thing Disney has the rights to
But this is wrong. The only thing Sony has the rights to is Films and Live Action TV.
Disney own the comics, the merchandising, the animated series rights, and the Video game rights.
>Disney own the comics, the merchandising, the animated series rights, and the Video game rights.
All wrong except the merchandising
Sony owns everything related to Spider Man except the merchandising, they had a good deal back when Marvel was going bankrupt
marvel 100% owns the game rights
Disney doesn't need Spiderman when they have Carol
fuck...... The Mouse needs Spider-Man more than ever
Marvel is Disney
and disney doesn't own the game rights for Spider Man, user is retarded
Disney doesn't own Spider Man, the only thing they own is the toys, that's it. It's funny how Marvel's "Mickey Mouse" is not actually owned by Marvel
Y'know you can stop pretending any time now, right?
>implying Iron Man isn't going to cameo in every MCU movie as a flashback, or as a zombie
She only hates it when it's convenient (aka rallying against Black Panther and Captain Marvel for clicks).
Merch is 10x everything else, Disney would be braindead to even consider a split on merch.
TONY STARK DID NOT TAKE BACK THE INFINITY STONES JUST FOR THEM TO TAKE HOLLAND AWAY FROM US
>Disney agrees to split revenue from Spiderverse merch with Sony 50/50.
>Disney splits MCU merch with Sony 75/25.
that's literally retarded
>none of those are nearly as mainstream as Spider-Man
they literally are, and bringing the X-Men on top of that is more than enough
They killed Luke, fuck Black Vader.
>I didnt say it destroyed the brand
>"It did in that the film, at least somewhat, damaged the brand."
Okay.
AI Tony.
>Ant-Man, Strange etc are as mainstream as fucking **Spider-Man**

No, it was igor and JJ and rian and kennedy.
That's what happened.

Did you even read the article you're referencing? Because that doesn't apply to the movies.
Yes. Clearly Disney is the only one guilty of this. Because Sony never inflated the numbers of any of their flops. They've never claimed any bad word of mouth about their films was only caused by misogynist internet trolls.
It's not even from the movies, the article is about Magic Kingdom. nypost.com
>Sandra Kuba, a former senior financial analyst for Walt Disney Co., said employees routinely took advantage of “weaknesses” in the company’s software to inflate revenue, including by double-reporting $500 gift cards purchased by guests, and recording gift cards that were discounted or given away for free at full value.
>She said that and other shenanigans added up to billions of overreported dollars, estimating that the 2008-09 revenues report could have been overstated by as much as $6 billion. The parks and resorts division claimed total revenues of $10.6 billion in 2009, the report said.
But I guess this is going to be the go-to response to any talk about billion dollar movies in the MCU.
- Carol
- Kamala
- mutants
- F4
Marvel is fine
?
Ghostbusters flopped and they cancelled the sequel, so how did they inflate the numbers exactly?
Yea Forums isn't part of the franchise fanbase. maybe don't pirate things and corporations might care about your opinions.
>maybe don't pirate things and corporations might care about your opinions.
This. I like how entitled these fuckers sound when they never pay for shit.
I hated the prequels, but it never undermined the OT. It didn't hate on the fans. It didn't make our hero suck cow tits and cower from being a hero.
>It didn't make our hero suck cow tits and cower from being a hero.
Yeah, instead it made him kill a room full of children and his pregnant wife.
Am I the only one whos having an autism flare up looking at Tony not in the middle of an MCU group shot?
It's like having Shazam in the middle with Superman to the right of him.
No one likes Carol
We are told people like Kamala but she quite honestly can't sell shit
Mutants as a concept are not good enough and the whole gay thing that they tried to push rather then it being tied to adolescence and racial issues and ideas of belonging has fucked it forever.
F4 was only MCU tier during the first two films when Evans did an inspired Johnny Storm, The commish was a brilliant thing, and they squandered the great casting for Doom.
And people all screamed that they hated it.
Let's be honest.
Marvel doesn't have shit going for it right now.
And they can't wave engame and thanos in the audiences faces and get them to watch any old bullshit. LIke antman or capmarvel.
The sunken cost fallacy when it comes to media is not going to save their ass. They should know this by how SW is now a dead property and everyone invloved had their careers ruined.
they have to come to the ball game with stuff that brings people into the theatres and whats being shown now is fucking it up.
Carol is a far better and more beloved character than Tony though.
>b-b-but Sony
How can one company live rent free in the heads of so many people?
What?
Anakin was never seen as a hero, not once.
The fuck are you fagging on about you stupid bitch?
The fuck up started with TFA and Rian was just following orders like a good slave with the full ruinization of Luke in TLJ.
They are hoping that they can push this rat faced cock sucker and british chick who's only hot when she's not onscreen as the last skywalkers. But litterally everyone hates kylo ren and no one at any point has given a shit about rey.
It's over for them.
This is why nobody likes SWfags.
If Disney plays games with their them park financials, what's to stop them from doing the same thing with their movie division?
>what's to stop them from doing the same thing with their movie division?
Box office gross certainly doesn't work like this.
When it was coming out and for like a year after they pretended that it was doing fine. They kept pretending that it was just online trolls who hated the movie. They kept saying they were going forward with their Ghostbusters Cinematic Universe, which had its own division. They even talked about getting some guys from Sony's 21 Jump Street to make an all male version of Ghostbusters as if that was somehow a good idea. Maybe it was bullshit for stockholders for a while, but Sony kept acting like the 2016 Ghostbusters was a huge tentpole for some time.
Now that people have forget about it and how much of a failure it was, they started talking about re-rebooting it with a kid friendly sequel to the original 80s films. It lead to the few fans of the 2016 one complaining. Even poor Leslie Jones weighed in on how Sony abandoned them. I do think it sucks that Sony chewed up these actresses and spat them out. The whole thing was disgusting. Ghostbusters 2016 fans now knew how original Ghostbusters fans felt about that reboot.
My post was to point out that EVERYONE does it. Most Hollywood film companies are barely more than money laundering scams. Disney is not unique in this. Funny how much Sony is in the red, but they continue to find investors for their awful films. I'd venture they're just as good as Disney at it, even if they're a much smaller studio. Somehow Sony keeps getting investors despite them not turning a profit. It's almost as if they're making money by not making money. Hollywood is fucking Bizzaro World.
Whoch of the two carol shill posters are you? The feet one? Or the peter shipper? Cause you guys can do the same blogging on tumblr and spare the rest of us
Everywhere else I see anything relating to the Disney/Sony Spiderman deal, it always is played off as Sony being the one's that should be blamed, like Sony is the one hoarding Spiderman for themselves.
Is there any information on what exactly the negotiations were like?
>No, it was igor and JJ and rian and kennedy.
>That's what happened.
Did you read That guy was the one claiming the prequels damaged the Star Wars brand, that's what I was responding to.
yes they do. they 100% own the game rights. spider-man is in MUA3 along with miles and gwen and that is a nintendo exclusive, so the muh insomniac exclusive argument doesn't carry weight
if the mouse really wanted to play hardball if the negotiations are truly over, he'd yank the licence from insomniac and then yoshida would take notice because playstation is one of sony's 2 profitable divisions and that means the studio division would be negatively impacting his company as a whole. that was pretty much happened when kaz hirari was ceo, he pretty much forced pascal to make a deal with marvel since their garfield films were hurting the bottom line and garfield subbing him was the final straw
They're probably gonna still reveal their Spider-Man plans but then rub in how Mean Ol' Sony stopped them from doing them.
Y'know, just to rule up their mindless followers more
Did you not read the tweet? Fuckin impulsive dumbass.
Cringe Carol
Areyoudense.jpeg
Carol and the lack of X-Men and other popular characters is gonna ruin marvel studios. Im calling it now. The only way to salvage this ship is dump carol in exchange for everyone else
>and the lack of X-Men
But... They already have the X-Men, the fuck are you on about? Also Spider-Man was only one among other characters to reach 1 billion in box office, they can sustain themselves with 2-3 movies a year pulling $800-900MM with ease. They don't need Spider-Man for that, I can assure you.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Not sure what the point of this picture was beyond showing the heavy brigading this movie got with the 1-star rating, making it obvious that it got targeted by angry nerds. No way this movie was remotely worse than Incredible Hulk or Thor: The Dark World, but reactionary nerds are dumbasses.
that way she's easier to bend from the back.
Yea Forumsmrades have always hated Carol.
The issue is that Yea Forumsmrades still think the mainstream movie audience reads comics.
But that's wrong, Carol is Yea Forums's favorite character and has been for years.
Yea Forums isn't a hivemind.
>Ghostbusters 2016 fans now knew how original Ghostbusters fans felt about that reboot.
And that Leslie Jones lady knows how Bill Murray felt, too, I guess.
Can't wait till they go full Sentry with her and reveal that her entire history was a fabricatred lie.
That she was supposed to be a captain america project like Cage, Wolverine, and Deadpool, and Black Widow but they used energy from the tesseract and it burned her alive from the inside, and this thing that is calling itself carol danvers is the tesseract energy doing a poor job of mimicing her.
Its' like...what happened to the comic in image comics.
More love for Carol!
About to carry the MCU
>>A third has questionable popularity
Bruh, she breached the billion gross revenue.
>It did in that the film, at least somewhat, damaged the brand.
It objectively didn't.

>seriously referencing cosmic book news
it was just quicker
And still wrong.
I don't, but Brie is a cute
lesbians who hate men, or just the few you hate white straight men indiscriminately.
>mfw he still hasn't been topped
and? just proves that feminist pushy movies dont sell and they have to cook the books to make it seem like it did.
Lmao, what a load of bullshit
Pff nice jaw line
I wasnt Brei Larson who went on stage bashing and insulting men to their faces about control and dominance who helped make the movie that was just about to be released.
you mean a normal thing that corporations do?
if you think nobody would notice disney spending over 100 million dollars on empty seats except paranoid comic fanboys on the internet you're a total idiot bro
Yes, but it was you who exaggerated the situation from a street level to a cosmic level threat.
She literally said the equivalent of "Frozen was made for little girls, so I don't want men's opinions on it". Dumb, but not really an insult, and not as racist as it was made to look.
sexist*
Sorry, got mixed up with so many buzzwords now.
No that is sexist opinion even when it wasnt made for men. Women judge series they dont even watch or enjoy all the fucking time and expected to take it as critisim. Take Sarkisian for instance, if the video games were made for the boys club she thinks they were made for, then her opinion would be irrelevant, but no we allowed it none the less.
If brie feels like she doesnt want to hear another point of view just based on their sex and includes race, then its sexist and racist. She could have said it wasnt made for you and it was intended to be made this way, then fine, but she pulls out the men are bad card.
>She could have said it wasnt made for you
That's what she said though. She didn't say "men are bad". She even repeated it a couple of times, because she probably knew how some people would react. And it's pretty ironic for a male hater to tweet something like pic related, or date white dudes for over a decade.
For me, the situation has been exaggerated.
>Isn't even 30, looks like she's knocking 40's door down.
>watched Scott Pilgrim recently, realized Brie Larson was playing Envy. 20 years old, looked 30.
I swear Brie Larson came out 10 years old out of the womb.
its because of her attitude I suppose. I mean this all seems like she is now trying to cover her self for saying shit like that before. I dont know about you but often than not a lot of women just disregard mens opinions as much as vice versa. So it feels silly to bring that ever into the equation and not expect it to come back and bite you in the ass.
or she is lying about her age which A lot of actors do.
So what major end-of-life movie will be used to prop up Carol's next movie? Since, y'know, the only reason anyone watched Captain Marvel was because it was a prequel to Endgame.
Will they re-do infinity wars? It's not like her movie could stand on its own since it was a piece of shit.
>you mean a normal thing that corporations do?
Reminder it's illegal to report inflated numbers to the SEC and ladderfags are retards for believing this
>Will they re-do infinity wars? It's not like her movie could stand on its own since it was a piece of shit.
thats the only way she can sell at the moment. Sadly carol is only interesting to those who are her fans, to the rest of us she isnt that interesting. What I think should happen is that she could kick start the next avengers that involves a huge threat.
Someone said the other day here the sequel had been canned, dunno if there's basis though.
anons say alot of things so dont put too much stock in it.
Could you...
...like...
...not.
Okay?
It makes sense, though, maybe they just don't feel like spending so much on tickets again.
>still seething this hard

Both the Snyder Cut of Justice League and the Trank Cut of Fant4stic probably wouldn't be good movies, but they would probably be slightly better than the final product, so I say they should release both of them.
>#savespiderman
"Save"? Why? What for?
My God, why is everyone such a Disney worshipper?
He's talking Obi-Wan, you mongrel.
This is literally the only time I've seen literal Yea Forums users and literal tumblr users agree on one thing; disney shouldn't get spiderman back.
fuck grace randolph
I'm Yea Forums and I think Sony should give Spider-Man to Marvel.
many reported on the mysterious bulk purchases of tickets and no shows.
NO ASS! LEAVE IT TO WOMEN TO HIRE A WOMAN WITH NO ASS!
At long last, we see the cracks start to appear. Look at this poster; a dead man, a walking copyright infringement and headlining it all a character that was so thoroughly disliked she was basically sidelined throughout all of Endgame.
There's no Captain America or RDJ to fall back on. And Thor Odinson is being replaced by Jane soon enough. To replace your lineup this way is bold but also very risky. I for one could watch Scarlet Witch kicking ass all day, but when Captain Marvel chokes out Thanos I merely roll my eyes.
This is their future. Perhaps I am wrong; but for the first time the end of the MCU's dominance feels tangible.
I wish you people would one day come into possession of a million dollar baseball card, and then have protesters rally outside your house to just give it to the family because it should be with them.
>captain fungus
no, fuck her, ugly whore
Unmarketable.
Why else was Disney so desperate to keep Spider-Man? Brie is cancer.
A card is not the creation of 60 years of labor from the heart and soul. You uncreative consumers only understand money; to Marvel, Spider-Man is like their child.
Listen to Paul McCartney talking about losing the rights to all the Beatles music to fucking Michael Jackson. He had to go ask them for permission to perform HIS songs.
It's not about Disney and Sony; it's about Marvel and Spider-Man. If Sony owned Marvel then I would be on the other side of the fence.
The real question is: Does anyone really feel appreciation for Carol Danvers or is it just for being contrarian Yea Forums internal joke? I mean she must be one of the worst characters I've seen in the history of comics (side by side with America Chavez), inflated and pushed up just to fill the emptiness of Wonder Woman in Marvel. Iron-Man, Spider-man, The Avengers, are all fascinating characters... but the actual Carol ??
I apreciatte the old blonde bimbo version, just another generic sexy and cool heroine, but the actual movie version...
Seriously? Can anyone say: my favorite character is Captain Marvel Carol Danvers?
Marvel Comics, which put all the heart and soul at Spider-Man at one point, still owns him. There's just two rival groups of executives fighting for the rights to make profit over half-assed "adaptations". Yea Forums cares more about the character than any of them.
>The real question is: Does anyone really feel appreciation for Carol Danvers or is it just for being contrarian Yea Forums internal joke?
I do like her for real, but I'm not going around rubbing it on people's faces because I'm not a retard who needs attention. I'm not one of the dumbasses parading her box office.
Also you claim she's one of the worst but I could give you a full list of worse yet more liked characters, so your hyperbolic nonsense just shows where your stakes are.
>to Marvel, Spider-Man is like their child.
No.
To a small handful of writers and artists, Spider-Man is like their child. If they care so much, they CAN try to get hired as writers/designers/concept artists for sony's spiderman, but it's unlikely to happen, because comic book creators =/= movie creators.
Marvel is a corporate entity, "who" is incapable of having feelings. The corporation is made up of executives who primarily care about multiplying their assets, with little personal attachment to characters.
$1,128,274,794
To you a baseball card is nothing but a trophy or a quick buck. To the family its a memento of their father/grandfather.
Marvel has the right to do that becaue they created the character and stuck with him through thick and thin.
Sony can ruin their own characters, like Kratos. Imagine if Disney bought and then ruined Kratos. Would that be alright by you?
It's an umbrella for those that care and joined their ranks to care. And most everyone took part in shaping the character. The odds of them treating the character with dignity and respect are considerably higher.
>Marvel has the right to do that becaue they created the character and stuck with him through thick and thin.
They sold the rights to the movies during the "thin".
They also caused the "thin" in the comics over the last couple decades. The comics treated him much, much worse than Sony movies, actually.
Also Kratos was never good. Hulk in a God of War scenario was far more interesting.
That's a decent point. Sony made Spider-Man work on the big screen so they deserve some credit I suppose.
Ideally they just agree to whatever makes new, good content happen.
There we go. That's what all of us fans, want, GOOD content. If only publishers and movie companies took a minute to reach that conclusion, everyone would win.
that movie was placed on a pedestal out of contrarian spite.
Honestly I couldn't care less about the ghostbusters but even I was aghast at all the blatant product placement. I've noticed it in basically every sony pictures thing since, even spiderverse.
that's just sad
...sadder
