Sony should fuck off with their damn Spider Man rights. Disney has owned Marvel for 10 years now, they should have full control over everything Marvel related by now. When is World War 3 gonna start?

Too bad. Marvel shouldn’t have sold off their characters’ film rights in the first place.

Oh don't be such a worry wuss!

besides the less shit Disney owns the merrier. Like for reals they have one hell of an Monopoly on the entertainment industry. I really do want to see that topple one day. This is a good start. Even if the MCU fanboys won't approve

Companycuck

That's true, while a fully integrated Spider-Man would be good, we must remember Sony has the legal rights to the character.

And it's not as if they always squandered them, the MCU would probably not even exist without the original Spider-Man trilogy.

Don't know what you mean by this honestly

It's only fair when we foresee

Ultimately, I am glad we won't see Spidey continue to be Iron Man II. He'll be his own character.
Unfortunately, that character will be complete and utter shit because Sony is a bunch of incompetent fucking morons.
Meh. I got my live action Mysterio. While his background and motives annoyed me with the constant Iron Man wank, I quite enjoyed his design and the actual illusions. Gyllenhaal did good with what he was given.

It's only movie rights that they own, it really is

Another fair point, the harder things are for Disney the better in the grand scheme of things.

Thank you, Captain Obvious.

Sony, Fox basically saved them by buying the rights. Wasn't till Iron Man did they realize they could just make their own movies and get 100% of the money.

>Don't know what you mean by this honestly
Today I will remind them.

Isn't that still a good bit smaller than Universal? Or i suppose comcast since they own Universal.

Also among the top 10 studios by gross for the year Disney has tracked 10 movies in release (gross of 2.77 Billion)
The next 9 have tracked 111 movies (gross of 4.22 billion)

For a slightly better comparison Disney has released 7 movies so far this year, the next 9 have released 73 movies.

I've yet to find an infographic of everything Comcast owns, but Pic Related shows all the big stuff they own. Disney owns way more than they do. But I do suppose the rabbit hole goes a tad bit deeper if you entertain the idea all companies shown in pic related did buyouts of their own.

Maybe read a book sometime.

WAAAH

DISNEY SHOULD HAVE EVERYTHING SO THEY CAN SPOON FEED ME

WAAAA WWWWAAAAAHHHH

Reminder that Marvel was so close to going bankrupt they had to sell some of their biggest tickets like Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, and The X-Men just to get money.
If they wanted spider-man, they should have made a fair deal with Sony.

Besides if you look at track records, Sony has produced 4 god tier spider-man movies, and Disney have only produced 2 that, at best are mediocre, and at worst are the most boring things on the planet.

Sony gets one chance to make a Spidey Verse sexual and -0me- chance alone. No one expect WOODY HARRILSON'S Carnage to be taken seriously. THERE'S NOT A SINGLE SOLITARY SOUL...
Wait how do I make this:
Not one:
Sony: Let's make a Jared Leto helmed Mobius film in the Venomverse.

Fuck off and burn yourself

He's completely right.
If Disney wants to use a property they don't own, they should simply pony up. Spider-Man is valuable and it's just market law.
Otherwise just let, heh, Captain Marvel lead the Avengers.

Soon if there is enough fan demand.

As a comic fan I enjoy this corporate treachery, it's probably as close as the creators will get to justice - unfortunately Ditko isn't alive to have a laugh at the expense of the Marvel cunts.

I'd like to see more of this.
