Yeah around when Korra was coming out I sat next to this guy in my calculus class. He was a fan of cartoons and such and we talked about them quite a bit. One day we start talking about Korra, and our mutual disliking of it. We then talked about Avatar and how good it was. We talked about our favorite characters, scenes, moments, fights, etc. I mention Toph and he just like explodes with how much he liked her as a character and stuff. He said she was one of his favorite characters.
I didn’t really think much of Toph but I distinctly remembered how she couldn’t wear shoes, because that’s how she was able to “see”. I then say something like “isn’t she the barefoot one? Haha you probably wanna suck on her toes.” He gets pretty quiet and talks less and less until we just sit in silence.
I always saw ATLA fanart of Toph’s feet, so I knew she attracted foot people and stuff. That’s also why I probably remembered she didn’t wear shoes. But we didn’t really talk on the same level after that. I wanted to say I’m sorry but i don’t know how I would bring that up. This continued for basically the rest of the year, plus we wouldn’t sit next to each other for long afterwards because the class seating would be changed every now and then. I don’t think I like weirded him out or anything since I had the same humor for most of the jokes I told him, but this is the first time I ever mentioned feet around him.

Well, first of all they try to add way too much insignificant content.
It's like they try to copy Game of Thrones formula by adding characters nad stories that in the end feel propouseless.
They add secondary characters and give them stories that all in all are boring and when they stories collide with the stories of the main cast there is no chemistry at all like they forced the encounter.
Other weak point is that they present things like ominus and important but when they appear they are more of a laughable thing or smaller than what they pretended to be like the White Fang organization. They made it sound like they were heavy weights when they tryed to pull another Beacon but they show only Adam and around 10 more nameless members, there is no suspense. Ruby is no longer charismatic, she is more like mixing Naruto and Luffy and put a black dress on that fusion in volume 5 she only finishes sentences and gives motivational cliche speeches.
Blake is the insecure type that goes emo, Cinder is the classic evil girl that goes for revenge and Salem is evil for the sake of being evil.
Even fights are no longer interesting. example Ruby deflecting the bullets of a girl 1 meter away from by swinging her scythe, Blake speaking with her partners with two assasins in front of them that await paciently for them to finish and then attack. Yes, you might say that comedy was part of the series, but they put it a la Marvel jokes in moments that they want you to see as serious.

The writing gets better with each season. They are trying to do more with Ruby but they had more fun for some of the other characters. Because epsiodes were short and seasons are small they tried to put infor in for more charecters. They are having rwby do more taking charge and not letting people boss her around. You clearly haven't seen season 6 were they show badass fights and Salem's reasons for being evil.
As for the white fang Adam was made to be a big deal in volume 4 and 5 they had Adam be seen as godlike and kill who ever got in his way. Remember the white fang almost destroyed the school if Blake hadn't come to stop him. Ilia couldn't bring herself to kill Blake and as for the other part the two fix faunus they faught weren't assassins. Also remember Kali is a trained fighter. Blake only saw her mom at the end when it was dine. Blake her dad and Sun were battle ready and would have attacked the second they got attacked.
But that's a trope that's in alot of anime and comics not just marvel. It's okay you don't like it but it sounds more like your mad people like things you don't like.

That's because the fans who loved it so much didn't bother to read the comics. Being a marvel fan can be hard with all the events you have to get. Plus I never cared for the adventure time comics they were all a little boring at least the ones I read.
