Don't delete flagged stuff in the future. Posts are not flagged manually, they're hit by Tumblr's shitty algorithm. Completely innocent and wholesome pictures get hit by it all the time. You simply ask for a repeal on it (should be an option somewhere on the post) and supposedly "a real live human being" will look at it. What typically actually happens is that it just automatically takes away the flag, because the algorithm hit so many completely innocent posts over the past year, resulting in an unfathomable amount of repeal requests, that they've given up on trying to deal with it manually and just say "whatever, if someone directly reports it we'll actually take a look at it."
But in general, Tumblr quickly became pretty much the worst place to post anything now. It doesn't hurt to keep posting there, but you may as well also post on Twitter, and make a DeviantArt and/or Newgrounds for gallery/archiving purposes.
