Really, any Superman villain that isn't Lex Luthor or an evil Kryptonian.
And Darkseid, if he counts, but he's more an enemy for the whole DCU rather than just Superman, right?

I like when Parasite is drawn that way, it's creepier than the slug/Venom design with all the fangs. In fact, there's some evidence that Parasite actually isn't intended to be a purple monster at all, just a horribly burned man with powers; the second Spider-Man/Superman crossover went with that explanation and actually describes his flesh being withered and burned by the radiation, and also the implication that he no longer has eyes, just scar tissue over the sockets. The purple color could just be artistic license (like how Two-Face was usually depicted as green or gray in the Bronze Age).

He creeped me out as a kid. That STAS episode when he kidnaps Clark was really good

I think he would have had a better chance if he wasn't a legacy villain

When they get sick, they actually turn into a deadly virus and infect the city.

Attached: hqdefault (3).jpg (480x360, 27K)

How do they explain the white markings?

Yeah that’s my favorite look for him

They’ll be underrated until they get their own book.

I would like to see Ghost going up against a true corrupt corporation. Maybe Iron Man gets involved when a special task force is mandated to hunt Ghost down.

A silent and yet weird spot.

Attached: the spot.jpg (1192x896, 402K)

His personality and powers have good chances to become a popular villain. Many rogues of heroes suffer from this lack of attention. Instead of always bringing new one-dimensional villains or use the usual suspect, one should always try to bring variety into the story.

Attached: Angle Man.jpg (630x957, 354K)

Young Justice really did a great job with him, a lot of New Gods deserve more attention, Kanto is the freakin god of assassins.

Attached: ggordongodfrey.gif (410x234, 60K)

While I do think the Fury and Jim Jaspers fund a fitting end, I do have a weakness for wild running reality warper constructs like Crazy Gang or Ignition.

Mongul

Attached: mongul.jpg (1039x1600, 495K)

Ghost is based and would be a great antihero/anti-corporate warrior. He should be more heavily relied on. He would also do great in the 2099 universe especially if he’s teamed up with GR2099 who is also a hacker

A lot of Wondy's villains desu

Psycho is also top tier

Master Telepath? Check

Doctor Destiny poses a unlimited thread to the JL and when he can get a plan in his head even those beyond the gods tremble.

Classiest fucker in DC

I don’t know. Maybe Rogues’ Revenge and Rogues Rebellion didn’t sell well enough? I haven’t read Rebellion but I’ve read Revenge multiple times and it’s fucking amazing each time.

It looks like he's trying to eat a sugar packet with a fork and knife.

>a blast of radiation and some ensuing brain damage caused him to think he was The Atomic Skull, a hero in a movie franchise he loved
>In his delusion, thinks Superman is Skull's enemy Dr. Electron and thinks Lois Lane is his love interest

That's a pretty cool backstory. If he went back to being that, you could probably do a ton with him as a sometimes villain, sometimes anti-hero

Attached: atomic skull.jpg (416x640, 37K)

Seeing him as a deluded anti hero paired with a straight man would be kino beyond imagining

Heck dude, it could be a book about them going on a roadtrip and i would read it in a heartbeat

I would too. Scott Kolins on art or bust though.

Hell yeah

I had an idea, tell me what you think. Evan steals some of Sam’s tech, uses it to commit crimes and Sam gets heat for it, Sam hunts Evan down in the Mirror World, laughs while Evan tries to fight him, instead of killing or turning Evan over, Sam takes him under his wing and trains him. This serves as a way to make Sam an actual character and introduce Evan back into the DCU.

Sounds good m8. Have a nice night, i'm gonna sleep. Nice knowing ya

Nice knowing you too. Bye!

As said already in this thread, practically ANY Superman foe who's not Lex or Zod could be listed here

I find Shade to be even classier.

Though I do like it when Gentleman Ghost and Shade team up.

Attached: Shade_(DC_Comics_character).jpg (250x364, 44K)

I find it a shame that White Shark never really went anywhere after Living Hell. I quite liked him in that

You mean his origin episode? Yea it was great, unfortunately they went a little hard on it what with him finding out he's Clark, so any episode they used him for after that they needed an excuse for why he doesn't just blow his cover.

HE DESERVES MORE TOYS!

I always assumed it was his clothes...but I guess i have no "evidence" for thinking that

Attached: Dr Psycho is fucked up.jpg (664x1297, 218K)

Thought that was Doctor Demonicus. He hasn't done much in recent years except be a background character in Hood's gang. His Heroclix figure was excellent.

I mean, in DCAU, the guy just- sort of got thwm slightly after the dip- he was full purple at one point.

Odd, really.

Metallo as well.

Attached: Metallo.jpg (400x607, 30K)

The name Parasite is fitting and all

But his actual name is weirdly cooler. Rudy Jones. It sounds like he’s the captain of the Flying Dutchman

Attached: Livewire.png (400x300, 211K)

Toyman? He could be used more sure, but he’s not the most obscure in Superman’s toy chest, if you know what I mean

Nah. She only works as a Superman hater. Plus I want Clark to redeem her like in the comics

For fuck's sakes stop redeeming supervillainesses.

>Redeems her
Bitch, I'd still be pissed if superman literally turned me into something he became later to try and stay relevant down the line, only to turn back to normal and go about living a normal life.

I just like Parasite in general

Cuda

Attached: 9AB9B74F-28DA-469A-B7A8-DB452D556ECD.jpg (1280x1996, 460K)

He's looked down upon for being dumber, watery Sandman with no moral compass, but Hydro-Man's really grown on me thanks to how he's been portrayed in cartoons. I loved how he was reinvented as a creepy, nigh-unstoppable, batshit insane stalker in the 90's cartoon, and in spite of all it's flaws? He was actually used really well in that fucking Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon where he's a manipulative asshole and badass combatant.

Attached: Hydro-Man.jpg (1280x720, 60K)

I’d approve of this wholeheartedly, so long as they didn’t turn him into another Deadpool.

I had a neat comic of this Atomic Skull (I think it’s his first or second appearance, might be wrong), and the gimmick was it was read lengthwise instead of the typical way. Was pretty darn cool.

Never forget that, for a brief time, Angle Man was Wondy's only recurring villain.

He really should be considered one of Marvel's top villains; he appeared almost consecutively throughout the Tales to Astonish run before he ''died'' and he actually tried to improve on past plans that Hulk only got out of due to dumb luck.

I blame it on the fact that, for some reason, maybe because he poses an actual physical threat, Abomination was selected to appear in that Origins of The Marvel Comics Villains book in the 70s, even though at that point Blonsky had only appeared in a scant handful of issues (some of them not even Hulk comics) with gaps of many years between each appearance and mostly in space or in a coma.

Attached: 1627348-hatchet_overcompensatingmuch.jpg (527x960, 136K)

Ummm, no. He's one of the faces of Suicide Squad and has had his own book several times.

The eternal midcarder,

i hate this guy

When I was a kid I would pretend I was Parasite going around stealing everyone's energy.

What should I read/watch for parasite?

This

Seeing as DC seems to go through those phases where it wants to streamline it's characters and mythos, which probably includes not having too many characters share a name, if they don't want to have another guy named Clayface, why not just call him "Payne" or "Mr. Payne" or something?

Easy reference - The Aramdillo

Nah too easy to confuse him with Ghost Rider. I liked him when he was part of a gang in 52.

I want her to hate Superman and have a crush on Clark Kent.

Or a Black Lightning/ Thunder and Lightning villain

>no one tops the Top
Kinky

Lizard and Vermin. Guy loses his arm in a war dedicates himself to cell regeneration just so he can hug his wife and son. Ends up releasing the primal part of his brain and almost killing his family. Always trying to re do the formula but gets thwarted by Spider-Man. Even when he insists that he no longer takes the Serum he still has the Lizard part of his brain talking to him. It's classic Jekyll and Hyde but somehow with all this potential for a good story the most we got was "mad scientist trying to make everyone in NY a lizard" and a really interesting story in Spectacular Spider Man

Attached: Screenshot_2019-08-21-23-55-55-1.png (720x1005, 992K)

As for Vermin I haven't read any stories with him except for Kraven's Last Hunt. But in the scenes he was in I instantly understood his character and wanted more of him. Even though he's similar to the Lizard he reminds me more of the Rat King arc from TMNT when Splinter slowly becomes less human and more rodent like. I want more of him

Attached: 45abdc1fad193f32e7ed6ed7fa1bb9fc.jpg (1249x1835, 317K)

I like the idea they've been going with for the past 12 years or so that there are multiple Royal Flush Gangs, each with their own aesthetic.

I think his main issue is that he's not really paired well against heroes, and most writers don't understand that you need to actually have Murderworld kill somebody in order for him to not look like a chump.

>Royal Flush Gang
And yet they barely work with the Joker. I mean come on its RIGHT there. It's like when White Rabbit and the Wonderland gang never work with Mad Hatter. This isn't a ScrewAttack Death Battle. It makes sense

Why the fuck would anyone want to work with the Joker? The RFG are professionals, they don't need an egotistical, team-killing clown bringing them down.

Bump

Why would you redesign it the most boring way? He looks like any other monster villain since Cloverfield

I think it's because he's in jail. Let him be a Penguin-esque villain, but instead of casinos and padrinos his stick would be stocks and american psychos. Like how he killed that glasses guy in Living Hell.

I love his design, why would he even wear corduroys, it's hilariously campy and I love it

Attached: Ignition_001.png (404x718, 470K)

As of Spencer's run Vermin got cloned and now there's like 15 of him running around in the Sewers killing all the unlucky people.

Mr. Mxyzpltk and Bat-Mite need a story that puts the hero through heII. Not just the fuckshit that was Emporer Joker. Like a really good one that resets the universe again and involves all iterations of the characters

My man Despero

Attached: OTC01.jpg (980x1504, 392K)

Agreed

Imagine Bat-Mite and Mxyzptlk screwing up the DC universe with tge sole purpose of fucking over Batman and Superman. Imagine the Universe doesn't reset and it ends instead. Imagine this would be both DC's Swan Song and a celebratory love letter to 90 years of DC Comics before the patents run out.

The ultimate evil Mxy story was already written by Moore, 5th dimension shenanigans especially humans trying to gain power from it does deliver some good possibilities for some stories.

Yeah thats alright. Though let him keep operating in Arkham

He appears pretty frequently in animation but I love Starro.

Attached: Starro.jpg (1280x1281, 82K)

I'm not sure if Lizard is really underrated? He was in a movie and makes frequent appearances in Spidey cartoons

I really don't know why he isn't used more.

Attached: Count Nefaria.jpg (496x751, 269K)

He's a mob boss who can singlehanded tank the Avengers, so one has to ask why there are any other mob bosses still around.

>so one has to ask why there are any other mob bosses still around.

He enjoys the little "power struggle" game?
Really, if a villain has enough power but isn't a conqueror or soemthing, I feel like they'd want to at least have something to challenge and entertain themselves. It's no fun if things are too easy

it dehumanizes him and the sunken in stomach is a pretty good detail

Attached: Death-Man.jpg (2119x3263, 1.98M)

I agree that a sunken stomach might be a nice detail for a parasite, but I disagree about dehumanizing him...him being more human makes what he is more unsettling imo.

Deadly Nightshade
She's like Poison Ivy...but with WEREWOLVES.
That's kinda neat

>too easy to confuse him with Ghost Rider

Ghost Rider is orange with a leather jacket and riding a bike.

No it isn't.

Oh yeah, Gustav is cool too

>Dope ass design.
>Prefers subterfuge and behind the scenes dealing to accomplish his goals.

eeeeeeeel

That was the worst Mxy story. Making him into some boring villain instead of a chaotic neutral dude was one of Moore’s worst ideas.

Who the fuck even was Ignition?

No matter how hot they drew her, the voice actress was so garbage that it ruins her appeal

Only Kelly knows....

I'm picturing something like if Adam West but the robin is a put upon social worker who's trying to keep this crazy fucker alive. An essential aspect is Atomic Skull is playing it straight, no matter how ridiculous he looks doing it.

And good and the new Nighthawk now.

Well she shouldn't be

Some reality twist construct.

Anybody remember Triumph?

For the uninitiated, he was a post Zero-Hour character who's backstory was being the original founder and leader of the Justice League who was erased from history and then brought back, but his place in the timeline was gone and no one remembered him.

So now he's in a world where the rookie heroes he brought together and led, namely Superman, Flash, GL etc., are big time celebrities adored by the world while he's basically a homeless vagrant. That's such a great use of wacky superhero story logic to make a really tragic character.

Its too bad he was never brought back. He could be a great addition to the JL's rogue's gallery. He trained a lot of the founding members so he knows how they fight and how they think, he's as strong as Superman and has control over the entire electromagnetic spectrum, precise enough that he can rewire a person's brain to control them. And all he wants is to be a hero again, to get the glory that should have always been his.

I miss that ghost guy from Morrison's AC. And that's what I like about Darkseid, so many characters and teams have great stories based around him. Even Dr. Fate, the Legion and the fucking X-Men.
Ignition was pretty neat. I read Emperor Joker just the other day, has he been in anything besides that story?

After Emperor Joker, General Zod takes over Pokolistan (or some other made up country) and Ignition works for him, he pops up in a bunch of Action Comics/Adventures of Superman/Superman.

He is a fun team-member and the Thunderbolts brings the best out of him, alone his paranoia drives him to do crazy. In a team his paranoia helps the team to get out of the harms way. Making the best out of the worst.

I’m surprised Ghost WASN’T linked to Stark in the MCU

Made my own villain called "The Slugger" for City of Heroes. He was a baseball player that went overboard with steroids. Would whack heroes with a massive bat.
Thought that was cool idea.

I really enjoy how much of an evil bitch Circe is. Given all the shift female “antivillains” who dindu nothing because daddy didn’t love them as kids so that excuses everything, it’s nice to have a female villain who is straight up a psycho.

Pic related was my favorite new Superman villain purely off of the design. Really wish people had used him after Morrison’s Action run.

Batman crossing his arms is funnier to me than Flash in the Plastic Plane

Basically any villain in PPG fits this description except HIM and Mojo Jojo

>>Tezumak
Oh wow. I forgot there was some bleed over from the edgy 90s into the 00s. That arc slipped my mind. I generally had good memories of the Kelly JLA, as much as I also remember it kinds petering out.

I guess he isn't much of a villain anymore but he certainly doesn't get the attention he deserves.

Attached: kl'rt.jpg (800x1050, 90K)

The Rogues? At least they’re universally beloved.

People can’t even name any of The Ray’s rogues

He's great and I'm glad that Spencer seems to be building up some kind of big story for him. He's basically been treated like a non-threatening third stringer for a long time now. He needs to know Spidey's identity since he's a lot more menacing as a psychological threat to the man behind the mask than just another villain for Spidey to fight.

All the really need to do is make is so that Spidey can't tell who he is using Spider-Sense.

Does Doomsday count?

Attached: dc-comics-doomsday-maquette-sideshow-300680-01-1.jpg (1500x1000, 297K)

Conceptually, yes. Self-resurrecting villain who autoevolves defenses against what killed him is pretty solid.

As an enormous Rogues fan, I kinda think they shouldn't have their own book. I feel like they work best in small doses.

How powerful would a Chameleon/Mystero team be?

Aren't there like five of them though?

I think it'd work if you didn't make it a team book and you also included the non-core members. As much as I like them, Flash has other villains in their mold, and many of them work with the core Rogues.

B

Also true for Chameleon and especially the Spot.

The Extremis serum. What I really want to see is Captain America having to face such augment.

He was more important that Norman in the 90s cartoon. There is an entire generation that didn't read comics that wonder why he doesn't show up more often .

Truly great taste. Whats his backstory? because for the looks of it he seem to be the ghost of Arsene Lupin.

I love how his evil plan is just play Saint Rows in real life.

Cool idea, but kind of cliche, imagine if 100 years for now any hero from the ancient civilization of USA was some kind of capitalist caricature.

>Kills his wife with a neverending nightmare after he gets cucked
>Forces Superman to kill his friends by accident in a dream
>Nearly gets Batman killed while trying to lull him to sleep
>Scares Hawkgirl so bad she breaks down sobbing
What a great show

That bit with Harley made me angry. It went completely against composition. Like Gotham Girl beating Captain Atom or Catwoman beating Flash. Come on.

I too love the Lizard and I don't even mind the corny turning people into lizard people as a goal. Marvel has him for that and DC can have Gross, and even if that's all they want to do, I'd be satisfied because they're both so entertaining and cool.

I want a Wonder Woman run that utilizes a lot of her old villains

That guys’s too goofy. We wouldn’t want any goofiness in our superhero comics.

Graviton should be a global-threat level villain. He's way more dangerous than Magneto or any of the other Fundamental Force manipulating guys.

Doesn't he canonically have a microscopic dick?

Don’t forget

>voiced by Alfred Molina

Aren’t all the good ones?

There's more goofy and comedic comic books out than dark ones though.

this guy'd be real easy to make creepy though, centipede are already creepy as fuck
you probably wouldn't have to change him that much

What the fuck is that costume

you love his reds?

Is this Genocide or Holocaust?

Super Skrull is always consistently based

Young Justice just does a good job period

Most people I've seen just suggest that they make him somehow related to the Hecatoncheires

Huh, that's an interesting way to go, I guess. They're pretty cool anyway

They need to have all 3 Silver Swans in play.

That's boring. Since he's basically trying to start conflicts and wars through financial destabilization, I'd go full Metal Gear Rising with him. Make him a surgically bisected amputee cyborg controlling dozens of bipedal robot drones that can link together to form a massive centipede-esque body with him as the head. Run him as a full-on anti-IMF, anti-international banking, going after international financiers and major players in financial/monetary markets; though I would take care to not make him a simple anti-capitalist or socialist/communist - he's crimson, not Red.

They've dropped the ball a few times. Devastation most noticeably.

He’s had a lot of good one shot stories. Superman Adventures has some good stories with him in it.

Fuck man I’m so pissed that Busiek got forced off of Superman. He had a ton of great ideas
>Brainiac story
>Toyman War between Hiro and the original Toyman
Pissed as fuck we never got those stories.

Nimrod, basically Morrison taking Terra-Man and making him not a total loser. He was kind of a Kraven the Hunter for Supes which I loved.

Terra-Man was boss as hell and they need to bring him back and go full 80s cartoon villain with him.

>Bees don't have little swastikas on them

Missed opportunity.

Ko

Iron Man, Wonder Woman's rogues.

>The Gentleman Ghost is apparently unable to touch or be touched by virgins.
Wtf?!?

>that time he tried to become Vice Prez to a very homophobic presidential candidate to piss Piper off
>still considered him family when he came back during Rogues War
Amazing

The Top is basically that shitbag cousin who puts on airs at holiday gatherings.

What issue was that? I gotta read it.

He'd make a great villain for a magic user. Doctor Fate comes to mind.

I think WW would probably work best. She's got just the right combo of magic and action that isn't too flashy.

Aww shit I forgot about Hyperion killing Holocaust this way. I need to re-read the old Exiles books, those were some fun stories.
Holocaust.

>WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO SUCK ME TO DEATH?

Attached: suck.jpg (210x210, 13K)

Not the bees...

That could work too.

>the literal Super-KKK gets so much popular attention that (((they))) have to shut it down by killing him off
Based

She’s barely done anything.
How is that dropping the ball

This

Flash #120-121 for the president thing.
Rogue War is Flash #220-225.

That too. I like Chameleon as a character who can fill a variety of roles in that he can be a mob boss, a terrorist or hitman and that he's generally successful at what he does but he gets so hung up on Spider-Man that destroying him not just physically but mentally becomes an obsession that negatively affects him.

>tfw your parents get murdered and some asshole nobody likes calls himself and your old criminal friends your family
being piper is suffering

Attached: i don't think that's comforting him.jpg (800x614, 143K)

I honestly like all his designs, whether he's this withered mess or a big bug monster Parasites cool regardless

Which issue is this from?

I would kill half this board for a Wondie cartoon that flashes out her rouges gallery, giving attention to the lesser known characters like him or Silver Swan

Kanto was pretty cool in Ostranders MM run way back in 98, he saw J'onn as a rival and it was nice for him to have a recurring baddie who was in no way related to mars

I actually kinda like what they were doing with him when he was trying to go straight and move on from being a villain, between him and Manbat in JLD I was hoping DC would make a thunderbolts like team

I dont read Hulk so feel free to ignore me but good god does he ever look fucking stupid

He's not all that underused honestly

He's even uglier than early Sinestro

The redesign where he was a muscular but slim man with a giant brain was his best look.

The problem with Atomic Skull is that the movie serial gimmick doesn't work with a villain, it doesn't even work that well in the context of an on-going, and his design is too good to not be used as a villain.

Hahaha holy shit. This is how you do edge.

DRIUMPH

Eh, works for Ghost Rider,

You want to talk about reality warping? DC and Marvel both have a character using the name “Atom Smasher”.

>I can be your angle or yuor devil

The Leader looks dumb. That's all there is 2 it, they will always try to shift focus away from him because most people cant take him seriously. He's like Sinestro in that way but a million times worse
