It's more than dumb, mate. Also, nomenclature is extremely important. A book being called 'Scalped' tells me everything I need to know. Namely that I should avoid this offensive trash like the plague.

I remember trying to torrent this awhile back but somehow downloading American Vampire instead. It was pretty great so I don't regret getting vampires instead of injuns

Theres sex, drugs, violence, intrigue, crooked cops, crooked indians, and a pretty good story to boot. Most of the characters are well written and I liked the gritty art style

It's one of my favorite stories. The ending hit me like a punch to the gut.

i know this is a result of aaron’s other garbage works but im disappointed Yea Forums can’t see past their assumptions this blatantly. it’s a really interesting book that shits on whitey and brown n drinkey equally, and dashiell bad horse is a badass motherfucker. i hate almost everything he’s done since but Scalped is actually a great book. I’m not a fan of any heavy handed social justice stuff and still got a lot out of this book. It’s not tumblr shit by any means. the second you read the first few issues and understand why the comic is called scalped is pretty rewarding imo. dino poor bear’s character arc is beautiful and depressing.
