yes, he is
His REAL HOME, not that dishonest bullshit full of CGI and bad cast
His real home is Marvel Comics you blithering retard. And if this whole thing has fallen on its face, you can bet your ass Ike Perlmutter is going to kneecap the Spider-Man comics like he did with the X-Men because they don't have the movie rights any more.
He's already home.

Honestly, the only good part of Sony's Spider-Man films were the villains and JJJ. Dafoe and Molina were absolutely amazing, but holy shit was Maguire an awful actor and an awful Spider-Man. Even Tom fucking Holland has been better.
I have a slight bit of hope that they can make Spider-Man himself and not Iron Man Jr. once more. But I keep thinking back to the Sony emails leak, TASM movies, and Sony's track record in general, and I'm not looking forward to this one...
no, Marvel Comics sold him,

Spiderman 4 will restore my faith in humanity.
user, Dafoe was wasted as the Goblin, Molina was overhyped and shit. The entire character was fucking retarded and made no fucking sense.
JJJ was good precisely BECAUSE the actor made the character his own.
It has fucking nothing else going for it.
Everyone EVERYONE who wasn't that dull lifeless not entertaining lead was a bitch or a total asshole.

>Tom Holland suddenly encounters Sony's Spider-Mans and and inform him about the threat of the inheritors
>After defeating morlum and his family, Master Weaver gives Peter the opportunity to re-start in a new universe where Spider-man died recently and all his family and friends believed him missing.
I just hate the MCU. Both failed Spider-Men franchises, Spider-Verse, and Venom blow the MCU out of the water easily.
I can just smell the basement dwelling contrarianism from you.
Would Tom Holland be the Spider-Man of the NuSony movies? Yeah Homecoming/Far From Home were Sony movies, technically, but Tom has got to be too wrapped up with Marvel and Disney.
My house doesn't have a basement. I just hate modern comic's reliance on crossovers and team-ups to sell.
>Sony
>Home
>I just hate modern comic's reliance on crossovers and team-ups to sell.
Marvel's made a big deal of their shared universe since the beginning you dumbass. Go back to your basement and stay there.
Anyone who talks about "real fans" is a retard.
>More ASM/Venom shit
Modern comics arguably have less of those
>Marvel's made a big deal of their shared universe since the beginning
Yes, and I don't like that. You aren't really adding anything by adding that. I think Spider-Man is cool, I just hate big crossovers and reboots, which Marvel does. Sony does this less than Marvel, so I like them more. Are you so stupid you can't understand this?
>Sony Spider-man movies: Oh, these are just awful!!
>MCU Spider-man movies: Oh, these are just awful!!
>Oh, look...he's "coming home." I'm sure it will be different this time.
kek
>Modern comics arguably have less of those
That's literally all modern comics are, if you count all the big Events(tm) that soft-reboot the comics as reboots, which I do.
Sonyder-Man is a 5/10
Spider-Mcu is a 4/10
Neither are good, but that doesn't mean one can't be better.
So you're missing one of the, if not THE point of Marvel's appeal versus DC, especially back in their early days? ....wow, you're actually that much a contrarian retard. I'm actually impressed.
Good. The less Disney controls the better. Fuck you, mouse dick swallowers.
Tom is still Spidey for two more movies. Holland + Hardy Spider-Verse FTW
You sound like those idiots on Twitter.
It’s time for Yea Forumsmblr to give up already. You nigger lovers lost.

Forgot to post text sorry aboot that.
I subjugate myself to Sony's based and redpilled greatness!
>the whole appeal of it is that it's poorly written
DC and Marvel are obsessed with crossovers and reboots, and I hate both of them. Same shit different label. You are a literal fanboy
Compared to Marvel, who have had dozens of relaunches and soft reboots in the same time.
He's already home tho.
OP must be retarded
Mary whore cucks still seething lmao
get fucked shit on comic fags!
t.pol here to shitpost
Not the MCU, which is very much the topic at hand. Fuck they've even allowed characters to die with no hint of them coming back, because they actually have the IP library and brand loyalty to try to work without some popular characters.
You would've hated the idea of the Justice Society of America or World's Finest Comics then, huh? You know, shit that happened in the early days of comics, even before Marvel existed. I'm sorry you're a dimwit who literally doesn't get how superheroes work, user. Do you like Spidey cause he appears on the pajamas your mom buys for you?
>The turd will have sprinkles on it.
Oh, that's just pathetic. I look forward to the future complaints.
>Do you like Spidey cause he appears on the pajamas your mom buys for you?
If you think Sony is his “home”, you’re the fake fan.
>you can bet your ass Ike Perlmutter is going to kneecap the Spider-Man comics like he did with the X-Men
You know damn well this is happening. They're going to axe every title that isn't Amazing Spider-Man, guarantee it. No more mini-events, no more Venom, no more whatever Spider-Verse nonsense they concoct in a year.
What? Marvel sold Fox and Sony an unlimited use, no backsies license to use some of their IP's forever.
You guys realize that this didn't happen last time they didn't have the Spider-Man rights?
raimi films were better than the shitty mcu ironboy
>You would've hated the idea of the Justice Society of America or World's Finest Comics then, huh?
Haven't read them, maybe if you like them as much as Disneyshit.
>You know, shit that happened in the early days of comics, even before Marvel existed.
You mean before you were born, unless you are 80, and spending your retirement here, which would be sad.
>I'm sorry you're a dimwit who literally doesn't get how superheroes work
Big Hero 6 was garbage when it was connected to Marvel's cancer, but the moment it was freed for the movie and TV show it skyrocketed in quality. Just because the bad tropes are common, doesn't mean they are a necessity.
>Do you like Spidey cause he appears on the pajamas your mom buys for you?
Pretty good, I'll admit.
I'm just being facetious honestly, and I don't think Cebulski will allow it because, after all, Spider-Man IS selling well (and they aren't about to cancel the book whose titular character won an Eisner). But I do see them giving less attention to it once the properties become more and more disconnected from the main studio.
>Do you like Spidey cause he appears on the pajamas your mom buys for you?
he was in my bed
I guess I can see where you're coming from. Theres been some MCU movies I might have liked as a standalone, but all Im thinking about is "wheres thanos?" Continuity can be a curse or a gift.
Fuck off Quesada, you greasy hack
>but all Im thinking about is "wheres thanos?"
That sounds like a you problem user.
> i hate both of them
why are you even here you sperg? Normal people don’t do that.
Also, crossovers happened because kids bought them, that means they were popular.
I have hope.
And I just lost it.
>why are you even here
I like some individual heroes, just not larger universes. Also, there is the whole "Cartoons &-" part.
Very likely. My favourite point of the MCU was the lead up to avengers, where each movie was placing a piece into place. Now it's just shared continuity.
>Maguire an awful actor and an awful Spider-Man
I'll agree he wasn't the best Spiderman. But he was by far the best Peter Parker.
>Even Tom fucking Holland has been better
At least Maquire sounds like he's hit puberty.
>Muh Raimi
Sony fucking ruined Raimi’s vision in the third movie you retard. They forced him to put in Venom because Venom was popular. Then they rebooted the franchise and tried to force EDM music and tech trends into the story. Then they made a deal with Marvel specifically so they could have popular MCU characters in their movies, cause they were jealous of Iron Man’s success. If you think Sony is the hero in this, you know nothing about Sony. It’s run by morons.
>going home to a beautiful white red-haired MJ
A little closer to heaven.
>Peter Parker and MJ
Okay that's up to personal taste
>Harry
I liked him but I understand
>Aunt May
You shut your whore mouth. Sony's original Aunt May was the greatest.
I love the interview with Pascal and Feige, and she's basically seething that Marvel/Disney has this massive franchise and they haven't had a solid (live-action) spider-man since SM2.
Link?
But Spider Man is one of Marvel's most popular heroes. He has worldwide presence and is arguably the first hero (or group) that many people think of when you even mention Marvel! They wouldn't dare do that to him!
>so was the X-Men
...fuck.
> i hate both of them
> posts on a topic he hates
got it, nothing to see here people. Just another poster with sociopathic tendencies and probably not taking their meds.
Oh fuck, this one maybe?
youtube.com
I dunno what time stamp. I found it during an autoplay tangent.
I like Spider-Man. A lot of the cartoons were good, and you could just skip the crossovers. Nowadays it's either read a crossover to know what's going on, or don't read Marvel or DC. I like when crossovers were more self contained and manageable.
> it’s run by morons
Hey you work at sony too? I’m in the so cal offices
The X-Men never really suffered any setbacks despite the Inhumans push, they got plenty of books during that time. IN FACT, they practically drowned the entire line after the push ended and fans still thought it wasn't enough. So nah, fuck that shit.
The Fantastic Four suffered the most for not having comics for at least four years.
and like least time that worked out for everyone, oh wait it didn't. Besides do they even have a "workable" replacement for Spider-Man like they did the X-Men? Can't wait to see the next poor D to C lister get shilled by Marvel then after they get the rights back make a crappy "Death of" story where the loser gets it worse then the guy they put on ice.
>Besides do they even have a "workable" replacement for Spider-Man like they did the X-Men?
Squirrel Girl was literally made to be a Spider-Man replacement. She will probably be pushed a bit.
>pic
Man, fuck Cates.
>Besides do they even have a "workable" replacement for Spider-Man like they did the X-Men?
If they go the "Tony Stark apprentice" route, yes (Riri). If they go the "friendly neighborhood type", also yes (Kamala). Neither are as famous as Spidey though, so they'd have to cozy up to the audience first.
>Squirrel Girl was literally made to be a Spider-Man replacement.
What? Squirrel Girl was made because the writer of an Iron Man comic wanted to have a fun character with squirrels based on a girl they knew once who was really into “critters”. Spider-Man was always intended as a standalone hero to appeal to teenagers.
Comic Shogun isn't a fucking retard so he's not going to fuck up Spider-man.
Spider-Man started out light hearted and carefree, but is now known for the edgy deaths of his many love interests. Squirel Girl was made for the reasons you said, as well as to fill the niche Spidey left open after he got darker.
Now that Flash is fully under Sony again, there is a chance!
>Flashfags
Hahahahah
>Spider-Man started out light hearted and carefree
Oh, so you’re pulling this out of your ass.
>Protagonist is a Chad
>Villain is a Muslim
Venom was based
Carefree? More like he cared about anything BUT himself. He changed over time to become lighter in tone as soon as other writers got their hands on him, but I can assure you, Ditko/Lee's Spidey was NOT carefree.
"Comic Shogun isn't a fucking retard so he's not going to fuck up Spider-man."
Good.
I think there is room for both in the MCU.
>I think there is room for both in the MCU.
I believe so too, I only hope they take more from Eve Ewing's book than Bendis, because yikes that's not going to work otherwise.
Kamala should be alright as she is.
You guys are such a joke.
Who will they apprentice under? I could see Pepper for Kamala, give her a healthy female role model after Carol fucks up, and Rhodey for Riri, since they're both kind of "Knock-Off Ironman." That is if they have to be Ironman adjacent. Who will take Tony's place in Civil War 2?
Soon
This nigga thinks that Sonyman is going to last long enough to get to the clone saga. They're going to release a terrible Morbius movie and another terrible Spider-Man movie and reboot AGAIN and we all know it.
>I could see Pepper for Kamala, give her a healthy female role model after Carol fucks up
Haha no, Pepper (specifically Gwyneth Paltrow) needs to fuck off. She's terrible. Keep Carol, why not? She was charming to Peter in the brief Endgame scene. She just needs more time on Earth to cozy up to other heroes instead of taking off to space.
>Who will take Tony's place in Civil War 2?
I don't think a CW2 will happen at all, though. CW2 is pretty much a retread of CW1's failures with a dumber premise. But if you ask me, who's going to take the place of the smart guy with the gadgets and shit? Reed Richards. It's a matter of time, and he'd actually stick to the science instead of being an arrogant quiplord who looks down on everyone despite being riddled with failures.
Rebooting with Ben, yes.
>someone who prefers the movies from a big Hollywood studio to the original comics
>calling someone else a fake fan
...
Yeah. Anyone who liked the Raimi films should remember how Sony fucked him over.
I AAAAM DEH RYENOOOOHHH
Yeah. How do fans of the Raimi films forget how Sony royally fucked him over?
>Keep Carol, why not?
Kamala tells her to fuck off during Civil War 2, because of the whole concentration camp thing. This pushes Kamala out of her comfort zone of blind hero worship, and makes her a bit more complex of a character, on paper at least. It's Civil War 2, the whole execution was a mess.
>Reed Richards and Kamala hanging out
It's weird this still hasn't happened yet.
>Kamala tells her to fuck off during Civil War 2, because of the whole concentration camp thing.
They got over it, though... Also this assumes CW2 will happen in the MCU, which I frankly doubt it will. It's just not a creative story nor something that actually would be well received. In fact look what you're doing, it's difficult to get something positive from it.
Only cool part from the event was when HydraCap revealed his plan to a comatose Tony, and you don't even need to do that if you're going for Secret Empire, just do Avengers Standoff and skip right to the event later.
He was home already you piece of shit fake fan
Tom Holland wanted Clone Saga. It'll happen even if he's not around.
Brie is awful too
Not even a fraction of how Paltrow is, though. She didn't even know why SLJ was present in the big funeral scene. She's THAT shitty.
Right. The original plan was just Sandman and then Kraven after that.
I think Sony insisted on Venom not just because he was popular but, also that Sony got a weird thought in its head that THEY were responsible for the movies success.
I am kinda mad right now, stupid exec probably wont care and I just wanted to see heroes I like doing dumb shit together in movies.
It's the crude reminder that at the end of the day what matters to them is making money and not the fans, those who give them said money in first place.
Perlmutter has been out of the question for some time now. Marvel is ruled by a more traditional BoD in liason with the Shogun who's the guy currently calling the shots.
Only a few in editorial/administration positions still have enough weight to put perlmutter era bullshit on book, but that number has been slowly dwindling. Only the best writers of the SJW era remain, and things are getting organized again.
Its just baffling that Sony thinks they are the reason this movie are making so much money now, next one is gonna flop and they are just gonna go the fox route again.
Jesus christ I hope disney does something, they have some people that care really high up but Sony is pulling big dick money and the higher up on disney must just dont care enough.
Any chance is this just corp big talk to stake a bigger position? Sony cant be that dumb to believe they will make as much money without disney.
>Sony got a weird thought in its head that THEY were responsible for the movies success.
Sony would do well to remember that where they are right now that they feel so confident in their ability to make money off of Spider-Man is directly attributable to Feige and Marvel. They were floundering with the ASM series, and they came to the negotiating table with Marvel with ridiculously high demands that they had to scale back because their bosses in Japan were furious with them for almost tanking the Marvel deal that the Studio needed to survive. Now think that they can just keep chugging along with the momentum Marvel gave them, but they've forgotten that they're incomepent idiots who tank successful franchises all by themselves. They're not going to last 2 more movies with this Spider-Man movie. They're not going to know what to do with the next one, and without the MCU connection, it's going to flop.
Worse part is? I think they probably do. After Venom's performance, which is very likely the WORST superhero film of the latest 2 years, I'm willing to bet they feel confident enough that anything they make now with their flagship character is gonna earn them big bucks. It's the mere assumption that the audience are passive consumers.
God, can fans autismo do something? Jesus christ why I am so sad about dumb capeshit but I am really sad right now. I hope this resolve
Please God please it's all I want
Until Feige says anything (likely during or after D23 this weekend), it's not certain what sort of direction they'll take from now. They can't just Poochie the fuck out of Spidey now, since he's intertwined in their universe.
This but unironically
When is the Shogun actually gonna go full weeb?
THEY WERE SETTING UP INDIAN FLASH FOR VENOM, NOW ITS ALL GONE.
>Disney buys Holland from Sony
>Depower him in the movies, but do not mention anything spider related or that might infright rights
>Give him something comic related that disney owns
Sony would crash with their spiderman movie.
Thank God. Indian flash was fucking awful
Venom was better than Captain Marvel.
I feel like the Venom movie captured the edgy cheesy nonsense of the comics quite well. It would have been better with Spider-Man, but it's good on it's own as well.
>I'm willing to bet they feel confident enough that anything they make now with their flagship character is gonna earn them big bucks
That's the mistake the WB execs made with the DCEU. There's stories that have come out about people going to the WB guys about a movie having production problems, or being a shitshow, and they brushed it off, saying it's a popular superhero character, so it will make money. I don't know why these fucks think they deserve so much money, while simultaneously acting like their job is so easy that they don't even have to ensure a movie is good if they happen to own a well-known IP. This is one more reason copyright terms should be shortened, these fat cats are getting too complacent with the sense that they can just keep making easy money on things they control.
Hahahaha, no.
Since this is a more earnest post, I'll concede that yes, it captured the Venom character well and Tom Hardy was great, but this happened pretty much during the second half while everything up to that (and surrounding it) was trash.
He was quite literally Cho, called Flash.
>spoiled
>young
>rich
>from the continent of Asia, kinda
Why is Marvel adapting one character, and calling them something else? The "Monica" in Captain Marvel was more Kamala than anything.
>The "Monica" in Captain Marvel was more Kamala than anything.
Nah, Monica was Kit from KSD's run. Kamala was a fangirl inspired by her early career but she wasn't part of her pathos back then.
>Sony just tweeted that the deal is out and to fuck disney
Well lads, these movies had a good run.
>Much of today’s news about Spider-Man has mischaracterized recent discussions about Kevin Feige’s involvement in the franchise. We are disappointed, but respect Disney’s decision not to have him continue as a lead producer of our next live action Spider-Man film. (1/3)
>We hope this might change in the future, but understand that the many new responsibilities that Disney has given him – including all their newly added Marvel properties – do not allow time for him to work on IP they do not own. (2/3)
>Kevin is terrific and we are grateful for his help and guidance and appreciate the path he has helped put us on, which we will continue. (3/3)
Haha, Feige is "too busy" to work with Spidey. Right.
Write the death of Spiderman at the end of the next movie.
i'll let you in on an internal secret. sony execs are idiots. the japanese one's are old and afraid and primarily focus on emulating either nintendo or apple (they cant make up their minds) But have no idea how, its like magic to them. the non-japanese one's are just cocksucking yesmen. they are literally brainless. they have no ability to see beyond being less incompetent than another guy to keep their job another quarter.
this is not the place you're going to see a blockbuster unless it is absolutely by fucking luck.
Can fan autismo do something?
>it is absolutely by fucking luck
I'll take that gamble. Worst case scenario; I get something to laugh at. Nothing wrong with that.
Who?
The Mangaverse will make it's glorious return soon enough. Good things comes to those who wait.
Jokes aside, I doubt he will do much new stuff. He already has his hands 100% full fixing the 2010s collapse both lore and administration wise. Shogun seems to be a sucker for "great masters" and for continuity, doubt he'll go full Mort but I don't think he'll to expand the company's horizons either.
Not that he could if he wanted. The companies' reputation within Disney is in tatters. The Mouse took anything that isn't comics publishing off their hands.
His tenure seems oriented towards consolidating a cohesive Marvel. Build a clean slate and a proper reputation without the absent editors, royalty and publishing gimmicks, and identity war bullshit. Then maybe his successor will have the clout to be more like Quesada or Shooter and expand the brand.
>no identity war bullshit
Doesn't Marvel have a lot of that still?
Considering the whole anti-SW camp and the SnyderCut cultists, I'm gonna say... No. It creates more annoyance than results.
I guess people think Amazing Spider-Man 2 was a good movie now, right?
No, it's shit, but it's more coherent then the MCU.
>it's more coherent then the MCU.
Yea Forumstards will say the darnest things in the name of shitposting.
most people dont't feel the same, dingus.
Sony has little to no market confidence in the cape sector. this has an impact on production (people care about their work less. there's a lot of 'i'm only doing this to tighten up my tesume them i'm out this shithole.') that mentality bleeds into the final product, which you as the public are expected to buy into.
and no one cares if the vocal/autistic basement dweller likes the non-disney movie especially when you wait 5 weeks after release to watch it on $5 tuesday matinee.
>Tom Holland just unfollowed every sony account in all his social media
LMAO, nice move you have there sony.
I know you hate Disney, but come on don't lie.
The Shogun is an EiC, not a director. He can't purge the whole company. Marvel isn't just the Bullpen, it also consists of marketing, legals, administration, and others branches. Only the Bullpen is the EiC's stomping grounds. He can manage editors and creatives, and oversee and commission books. And signs point to the possibility that hiring writers and artists isn't entirely up editor anymore. SJWs/circlejerk retard may hold positions on the other branches and Shogun can't touch them
In fact I'm not entirely sure if the EiC position is still as powerful as it used to be. Perlmutter pretty much destroyed the Bullpen. We don't even know if he can touch w4h contracts or modify any conditions for hiring.
Internal corruption is also a factor. It's known that Bendis was good friends with one or more BoD members and it's why he did practically anything he wanted (and why the previous EiC was fired when Bendis left), bendis abused the shit of the royalties system by replacing any characters he wanted with his own creation. If bendis could have done things his way, he'd had replaced spider man with his own royalty earning creation.
No he didn't, he's still following Sony Pictures on Twitter.
Made ya look.
Oh you.
>AMS2
>coherent
you are trying to hard
I want a spiderman 4 with old tobey training his daughter to take up the mantle
Seething MCUck
If being a "Seething MCUck" means I don't like having to watch a new Spider-Man reboot more often than the Summer Olympics, some stupid spin-off about how the burglar that killed Uncle Ben was looking for the lost Parker treasure, or the story of how Norman Osborn and Sandman are siblings separated at birth, then fine. I'm a seething MCUck and you're a disease ridden cunt so rancid you make Fournier's gangrene look like eczema. I would tell you this doesn't mean we will get more Raimi/Maguire Spider-Man, but I've learned it's pointless to argue with jackasses who have gone mad from syphilis.
i'm honestly okay with this just because i'm so done with the mcu now that endgame's over. i'll watch guardians 3 just because i think, now that gunn's back, that ending will be something special, but mcu spidey has been a bread-and-milk pin up of his suit since the start. disney turned him into a money-printing cgi safebet. sony might make something atrocious, but i loved venom, and i'd always be down for something that takes a least some kind of creative chance, even if it just falls on its face.
but i'm a bitter old man. i'm still all sanctimonious about the raimi trilogy, the fox x-men and daredevil. hell, i'd rather watch ang lee's hulk than half the mcu stuff.
Yeah because there have been so many good Spidey stories in the last 10 years.
yeah its gonna be great just like the amazing spider-man and venom movies everybody loved
Same thing with Betty Brant
>Comic Betty has bob haircut with dark hair
>MCU makes her Gwen

>cretinous dick weasel.

They unironically had more soul than Disney's latest serving of corporate product that can't stand on its own without dozens of other movies (buy them all on Blu-Ray!)
So did some drag queens teach Peter how to do that fierce tuck, or is he actually canonically junk-less?
>at home with Uncle Tony, slutty Aunt May, nigger MJ, pajeet Flash, fat chink Ned, and nigger Liz Allen
Fuck you.
>Sony Spider-man movies: Oh, these are just awful!!
Spider-man and Spider-man 2 are based.
those moviies were a million years ago, noone involved with them will have anything to do with anything new sony decides to make
Eat shit racist
Disney's marvel is the only Marvel that exists now.
>my argument is i'm a hateful racist nerd
stay mad bitch
I honestly forgot what happened in it outside of sick Harry Osborn and Rhino at the end.
The attitude comes from people eating up subpar movies for various reasons, which convinces them that people will also buy their subpar movie despite it being down to luck which shitshow catches fire.

You do know Spider-Man isn't just some island all to his own and is part of the Marvel universe right? He has ties to quite a few other heroes. Anything where he isn't part of something bigger and unable to interact with the universe at large is a prison
>uhh this dead weight teenager nuthugger who started yesterday is now tasked with universal threats because money
Good riddance.
Extended universe is just a profitable gimmick, theres effectively no difference to if Spider-Man is in a solo franchise to crossover one.
