Why does the sound design on Thor feel so weak?

That is the worst Kamala I've ever seen.

It sounds like he's hitting enemies with an empty soda can. Compare this to God of War combat sound design and the difference is revolting.

>gameplay starts off with a button prompt
Oh no, that's not good at all.

ANT-MAN THE WASP AND STATURE

Where?

On one hand, they say this is alpha footage.
On the other hand, this still isn't very engaging gameplay.
Also the designs are ass

Attached: 1523414621431.jpg (550x550, 127K)

And why the fuck will they not show the deeper systems they keep talking about and just keep showing the prologue?
And why the fuck did they make an Avengers game before more solo games like Spider-Man?

Fuck them for ruining Kamala

>Models have been improved but are still a bit off
>Gameplay seems serviceable but not nearly as engaging as it could or should be
>Voice acting is mostly flat thanks to them hiring the most generic VAs possible
>Dialogue is weird
>Immediately doing Inhuman shit
This is doomed, isn't it?

Damn Kamala looks worse than she did in the leaked version
Like way, way, way worse

Niggers Niggers Niggers

>>Voice acting is mostly flat thanks to them hiring the most generic VAs possible
i recognize a lot of the va's from the avengers assemble show, but yeah, it's still ass.

It sucks, since Yuri absoloutely nailed Pete

Why is Taskmaster just Crossbones?

It all looks pretty lackluster, honestly. This guy probably has the right of it, because individual games could have allowed them to refine each Avenger's gameplay style more before moving right to developing a game where you have to use all of them.

A game like this means very shallow gameplay. Too many characters at work here. They should have just made a character focused game like Thor, Hulk, or Iron Man. Do ONE well like Spider-Man instead of 6+ meh

They unironically should have gotten Tetsura Nomura or Toriyama or some JRPG ass square weeb guy to design the characters.

Nothing will ever surpass Gravity Rush for kino superhero game designs.

>Game begins with tutorial level
>Oh no, that’s not good at all

It's Squeenix's EuroCanada team.

Aww did the game ruin your forced diversity mudslime character for you? Gee that's too bad.

Attached: 1489945076598.jpg (449x413, 35K)

Looks great now let's see the gameplay for the new DC game

Oh wait

oh no, not the fart gas

Attached: file.png (1920x1080, 1.65M)

A heavily scripted tutorial level is great?

Everything besides Black Widow's ass needs to be scrapped and go back to the drawing board

she was shit already

Calling it now: it's going to be a decent Western action game. Not much more than an 8/10. Disappointing but fun enough for a playthrough or two.

Why EVERYTHING looks so weak?

It looks and plays like an early PS3 game.

Captain America looks like a cross between Chris Redfield and Jeffery Mace

t. Pajeet.

Also, the dialogue is REALLY bad and generic and the voice acting is too. I know they're two different publishers and all, but how could they get all the VAs that are associated with all the characters for MUA3 then hire a bunch of generic 'in' VAs for this game? The only one there who usually does the VA is Laura Bailey's Black Widow and even then, she seems off.

who the fuck wants to play as Black Widow

Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montréal don't make good games so its no surprise

Honestly, her, Cap, and Hulk looked like the most fun characters to play as in that demo.

I'm so glad they're not going for Arkhamshit with the combat but even then, it doesn't look particularly great.

It looks like such an uninspired cash grab. And I actually dont mind the designs. The gameplay just looks like nothing. But such is licensed video games.

not even memeing she looks like one of the most fun characters to play. But it's more because she's got a lot of tools, you can beat people and shoot people and hook people and become invisible.

The problem with the tutorial intro is that it doesn't show the full extent of what you can do with the characters, but right now it's either Cap or Widow for me. It's amazing how Hulk, Thor and Iron Man just look boring and unfun

Arkham was fun, it wasn't deep but I'd rather have that than this gameplay

>why would anyone want to play as Black Widow

Attached: al-pacino-great-ass[1].jpg (650x335, 38K)

This has more potential because at least you have more actual moves and you aren't constantly zigzagging between enemies 30-40 ft away like a fucking invincible Batgod.

>there are people excited for this

gameinformer.com/preview/2019/08/20/play-progress-and-customize-your-heroes-how-you-want

>As we already know, Avengers is an original story focused on the superhero team’s fall from grace. The A-Day celebration meant to laud the Avengers backfires as a surprise attack on the Golden Gate Bridge serves as little more than a distraction for the heroes as the real threat involved blowing up the Avengers’ Helicarrier and leveling much of San Francisco. As the city struggles to pick up the pieces, anger and blame falls on the shoulders of the iconic Marvel heroes.

>Putting The Power In My Hands
>This attack sequence serves as the introduction and tutorial of the game. As such, it introduces you to the five playable heroes in rapid succession. I start out as Thor, who wields his mighty hammer Mjolnir. Using the hammer, I bash generic gun-toting enemies over the head with combinations that combine light and heavy attacks. Enemies attack Thor from all directions, but indicators appearing over heads and from edges of the screen alert me of incoming strikes. With a simple press of a button, Thor dodges and opens the enemy for attacks. Thor’s melee combat feels competent, but basic. It’s only once I start using his powers that the encounters feel exciting. Using the god’s lightning, I annihilate the enemies around Thor, finally giving me the power fantasy that should come with controlling the son of Odin. Once I knock around some generic troops on the ground, enemies appear on top of the armored trucks, but Thor can easily dispatch of them by tossing Mjolnir their way. Performing ranged attacks works just how you’d think they would: the left trigger lets you aim, while the right trigger fires. For Thor, that means hurling his hammer at foes, but for Iron Man, who I control next, it means firing his repulsor beams.

>As I take control of Iron Man, it begins with an on-rails chase sequence above the bridge. While I control the general location of Stark as he flies over the battle, the automatic dodge is generous when things get in the way. After I shoot down the enemies he was pursuing, the on-rails section gives way to a battle similar to what the Thor section threw at me. However, using Tony Stark often means hovering above the battlefield and raining death from above. Hovering up and down is simple, with one button lifting Stark up and the other bringing him close to the ground. I pick off the enemies one by one, with several uses of Iron Man’s powerful Heroic ability, the unibeam, destroying anything he aims his chest at.

>However, while I love Iron Man and his suite of abilities (he’s arguably my favorite of the original Avengers squad), my brief time controlling the billionaire hero was a bit underwhelming. Hovering above the battlefield feels good, but blasting at enemies from afar felt so detached from the action; a ranged hero should still pack some oomph. I also wasn’t a fan of how each time he took damage, he fell from the sky, only to have to float back up to hovering altitude if I wanted to regain my vantage point. In addition, every time I used Iron Man’s unibeam ability, it felt like slamming the brakes on the action as the camera zooms in and Stark slowly turns toward his targets. I’m hoping these various combat modes can be polished and made to feel a bit smoother, as flying around and blasting foes as Iron Man should be endlessly exciting.

>Thankfully, the scene transitions to Hulk, who feels like the unstoppable force that he is. His power lies in his brute strength, and it’s a sight to behold. Hulk can punch with light and heavy attacks just like Thor, but holding the button for heavy attack lets him grab an enemy and slam them around mercilessly. Seeing the bad guy ragdoll as you slam him into his buddies is satisfying, and running from battle area to battle area is fun thanks to Hulk's ability to jump great distances and off flat surfaces. The Hulk segment ends with him taking out multiple enemies with his Heroic ability, his thunderclap, and destroying a couple tanks in brutal fashion. The game accurately captures the rage-induced rampages of Marvel's green giant.

>The scene then transitions to the Avengers' Helicarrier above the city with a battle as Captain America. Cap is a bruiser who can toss his shield and bounce it off enemies like a pinball. While he’s still fighting generic enemies, his combat stands out more than Thor’s thanks to his ability to use his shield as either an offensive or defensive weapon.

>The final scene of my demo put me in control of Black Widow as she takes on Taskmaster in a boss battle. After a framerate-dipping chase scene that has her riding on his back and punching him through various quick-time events as the other Avengers continue the effort to salvage the iconic San Francisco bridge, the two land on a stable surface and clash. Taskmaster’s signature ability is rapidly learning his enemies’ fighting styles, so I have to adapt each time he catches on to my tricks.

>Thankfully, Black Widow has more than a couple tricks up her sleeve. She’s as competent in close-quarters melee combat as she is from long range, and she’s able to acrobatically get out of the way of Taskmaster’s charges. Her combination of martial arts skills and mid-range gunplay makes her arguably my favorite character to control in the brief time I spent with the game.

>Charting A New Narrative
>One of Crystal Dynamics’ main goals for Avengers is to tell a unique, all-original story starring the iconic heroes. "Think about how we reinvented Lara Croft," senior brand director Rich Briggs says. "Taking these iconic heroes and reimagining them ... that's just part of our DNA. It's always about that epic, character-driven action-adventure, and it's about telling an original story with these iconic characters."

>The fallout of the A-Day disaster affects each of the heroes differently. Captain America is lost in the explosion. Tony Stark withdraws from the world, with no fortune or tech to fall back on. He feels as though he no longer has the answers for what the team needs to do. Bruce Banner begins questioning the role of superheroes and blames himself to the point where gets stuck in Hulk form. Black Widow returns to her life as a spy, as she feels guilty for not being there for Captain America. Thor’s attitude is that he’s no longer worthy to wield Mjolnir, so he leaves it at the Captain America memorial statue and works to serve the people of Midgard.

>With the heroes in disparate places physically and emotionally, the story of Avengers is about reassembling the world’s preeminent superhero team. You do this by traveling around the world and completing missions. While all I have to go off of is the tutorial sequence I played, Crystal Dynamics tells me the rest of the missions are more expansive, feature more difficult enemies and have fewer quick-time events. When you're ready to jump into action, you use the War Table to choose from two types of missions: Hero and Warzone. Hero missions are single-player, narrative-driven stages. These put you in the shoes of a specific member of the Avengers as you advance the story of the campaign. On the other hand, Warzone missions can be played single-player or co-op online with up to four players total. Because these are typically more open, you can choose any hero. Playing either mission type unlocks new content, and grants you gear drops to equip on your character.

>Assembling Your Avengers Your Way
>These pieces of gear are important to powering up your hero. Gear is specific to each character, so don’t expect to equip that new rare reactor coil to Black Widow. Gear items can boost stats like melee, defense, and Heroic, and if you match certain sets of gear, you can reap synergy bonuses.

>You can also customize your heroes’ various skills and loadouts through large ability trees unique to each hero. For example, with Iron Man, you can unlock new abilities in categories such as melee, repulsor, laser, and rockets. You can customize your loadout however you want, and even swap between different versions of these powers on the fly using the d-pad.

>Outside of customizations that can affect gameplay, Avengers allows players to also dictate how their characters look. If you don’t like Tony Stark’s suit in the screenshot above, you can expect a host of other suits to choose from. While chatting with the team, I see suits ranging from mainstream to obscure, from Crystal Dynamics’ take on Captain America’s classic costume and Black Widow’s predator outfit to King Thor and Joe Fixit Hulk. These skins are 100-percent cosmetic, meaning if you have an all-time favorite Iron Man suit, you don’t have to worry about limiting Stark’s powers just so you can equip it. Some of these cosmetic skins can be earned in game, while others must be purchased from the store. The studio wasn't ready to talk about any other potential ways the title could be monetized, but the studio currently aims to keep everything in the store purely cosmetic.

>The Road Ahead
>If Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, and Hulk aren’t up your alley, Crystal Dynamics may have you covered. In addition to the SDCC reveal that Ms. Marvel herself, Kamala Khan, is in the game in some capacity (including the opening scene), new heroes and regions to complete missions in will be made available post-launch free of charge.

>not a cute
Fuck this

How old is she meant to be here? There's gonna be a 5 year timeskip so she's gonna be like 17 minimum after the timeskip

This looks really railroaded and bad

*Trailers imply cap is dead*
>Press release already ruins any notion he isn't playable straight off the bat.

We saw in the OP that he's playable. He probably got Dimension-z'd

Your gadgets were your moves and there were enemies specifically designed to prevent you from just spamming the same moves, like shielded mooks, medics, and ninjas.

Agree on it looking bad but it's railroaded because it's the turoial. See

An improvement, but not convinced. Kamala's quite adorable though. How old is sh at that point? Because judging by the timeskip Ithink she either might be 11 or 12

She looks like her race (Whatever you call the people between the eastern mediterranean and india) instead of an anime character painted brown.

>literally a work in progress
>”sheesh why does this look so bad guys?”

Attached: 55A656C5-E3F3-469F-BCF3-BB1BAF866B9C.jpg (529x463, 25K)

>Widow solos Taskmaster

So is this what a theoretical Live-Action Kamala would look like? The Avengers lanyard is a cute detail, though.

You’re an idiot or a paid shill. Don’t show something unless you’re ready

>Your gadgets were your moves and there were enemies specifically designed to prevent you from just spamming the same moves, like shielded mooks, medics, and ninjas.
Thing is, a lot of those mooks, like shielded guys, required you to use certain moves on them, which significantly limited you in your options and that's never fun.

>Think about how we reinvented Lara Croft,
this does not fill me with confidence

But you had varous options on how to deal with them, the shield guys could be taken down with more than one technique and keeping um a perfect combo allowed you to use their shield to knock them out, while other enemies like the ninjas and medics just required different priorities and strategies.

Attached: (You) boobs.webm (960x540, 937K)

West can't into women.

But doesn't look like Kamala. Looks like another western game female with a weird, fat face.

>But you had varous options on how to deal with them, the shield guys could be taken down with more than one technique
There were like, only two different ways of taking them out. Quite boring imo.

fuck off back to Yea Forums retard

Looks like schwarbage
Should've got insomniac to make this and have it tie into the Spider-man videogame universe.

Too bad...

>from Crystal Dynamics’ take on Captain America’s classic costume
No one wants this. Give us the real comic costumes.

Because she is in the movies!

Show me a good looking female in western games. You can't.

>8/10
>Decent
You worry me.

>and have it tie into the Spider-man videogame universe.
Cringe. MCU has rotted your brain.

>Health bar at the top center of the screen
Oh I hate that why would they do that

Love that Thor armor

now fuck off back

Attached: cage (10).png (1630x801, 1.36M)

Maybe 6-7/10 then.

Wow Hulk ad Thor just straight murdering people lol

Let's be real, Taskmaster should only be a street level threat, and not a high one at that, with his powers. He's a threat to guys like Frank or Natasha, but they still could conceivably beat him.

Why is literally every single thing you have to do a new objective. That's obnoxious and it's taking up screen space

.........

Kids with ADHD

His entire costume is gross but the backwards flag on Cap's shoulder is especially retarded. It's not a military uniform; They didn't have to do that.

Copying movesets, wow, what power, guess that's why everyone used a Ditto, for their combat prowess.

Laughed out loud when Taskmaster showed up. That's atrocious.

>No Hawkeye
But why though

Attached: female western chars.jpg (4000x3048, 3.61M)

Because Hawkeye a bitch. Ant-Man and Was should have been the MCU founding Avengers instead of Hawkeye and BW, then we could've had a kooky quartet film.

I thought this was a Toy Story crossover with the little girl all grown up.

Please don’t include that Mary Jane.

>Posts MK11 Cassie

If you're gonna post Cassie Cage, at least post the one that's actually hot and not a fucking plain-ass looking downgrade.

Attached: CC.png (644x605, 300K)

She was fine, you giant baby

Then find a better picture you dweeb

Both of these are ass.

>don't worry, they'll patch it

...

no

Attached: cage c.png (1638x915, 1.36M)

I'd fuck em both.

I wonder if there's FFM porn with the two of them going down on a single penis.

Who do you want to appear in this game and who do you want to have their own game anons?

it looks okey but would probably be a better game if you only played one character throughout the main game. It's gonna be super linear this way.

>Tony Stark withdraws from the world, with no fortune or tech to fall back on.
What, his shares in Stark industries was tied to public perception or something?

> the art design is trash, iron man looks skinny as fuck, cap looks awful, thor looks like a kratos knockoff
> the "combat" is also trash; shit gliding lock-on animations, press X,X,X shit combos, on rails, QTEs, heavily scripted events for MUH CINEMATIC AND VISCERAL, absolutely every flavor of modern design cancer is here
> the voice acting/dialogue is pretty bad, nolan north doesn't fit stark at all, maybe it's a lack of helmet/voice distortion
> they're trying to imitate the MCU too much but it's a half-measure. either go full RDJ impression, or go full comic way, this just feels completely off
> mooks just stand still and come at you one at a time
> same problems as spider-man, if you want the player to "feel like OMG SUPERHERO X" then fucking HULK should be one-shotting these basic goons. he picks up a giant concrete slab and 360s them and they still stand up to fight? horseshit

solid redbox for me. they say this is "alpha" but you can tell there are hard game design decisions made here that won't change on launch

Attached: 1551307613861.jpg (500x414, 56K)

>thor looks like a kratos knockoff
That's actually because its the same combat designer from GoW

>the art design is trash

> implying it isn't

Attached: ironshit.png (800x649, 638K)

They better fix Pym.

Attached: ANTS.png (726x419, 553K)

ok its a iron man suit you can change

> implying we'll get something as based as this in the game

Spider-Man pulls his punches so that’s a non issue. But yeah Hulk is bullshit

Are they eventually going to extend their roster so we can get other Marvel characters in it, like Heroes for hire?

Yeah, Pym's already confirmed Personally I want them to save H4H for their own Platinum style game

this is not any antman i want a part off

They're going Hank Pym- Science Adventurer route, Scott'll probably be Ant-Man after the timeskip and Hank was Ant-Man before.

>Thinking NetherRealm makes attractive female characters.

Attached: 1553872553309.jpg (690x496, 37K)

I've actually been relatively pretty kind on this game compared to other anons here but the art style is BLAAAAND. Bland, bland, bland. Why there's this need for comic book superhero games to go for that boringly realistic look is beyond me. These are COMIC BOOK characters. There should be more freedom and creativity in how artists express these characters. How is that the only games based on comic book characters that actually look visually interesting are still the MvC and Arkham games?

ok fool tell me how is she ugly or are you going to shitpost like the other idiots

Attached: 1537317329537.png (500x500, 279K)

ironman sounds bad

it was fine for batman and spider-man why are you retards crying about it now

Attached: BATMAN™_ ARKHAM KNIGHT_20190817134751.png (1920x1080, 3.38M)

Shits not fast paced enough, screams of license about to run out so they had to make a play

4.5/10, needs better gameplay

Batman games didn't 100% go for realism though. The art styles were definitely stylized, even Arkham Knight. There's definitely almost a cartoonish, dark, gothic, but retro, 'classy', almost Golden Age Hollywood vibe to the art style.

As for Spider-Man, I haven't played it yet, but judging from what I've seen, it doesn't look that visually interesting either.

did ironman just light those dudes on fire

you sound like a fucking idiot show me anything realistic about the avengers game

Attached: Marvel's Spider-Man_20190415225555.png (1920x1080, 2.4M)

>show me anything realistic about the avengers game
Look at the gameplay footage, you fucking retard.

What a boring ass looking game.

>those transitions triggered with exploding fuel tanks

ok what's realistic about a giant green monster and a lighting god

Attached: Marvel's Spider-Man_20190703125532.png (1920x1080, 2.52M)

>ok what's realistic about a giant green monster and a lighting god
Dude, look at the fucking models and the environments in general. Nothing looks stylized. It's all done in a plain, boring, 'realistic' style that emulates photorealism.

bro are you fucking retarded

I don't think you realize that the fantastic can be rendered in a photorealistic way. Son, I am talking about the VISUALS, not the concepts themselves.

It worked in Shadow of Mordor

they look fine you sperg just like in batman and spider-man

Attached: BATMAN™_ ARKHAM KNIGHT_20190817194036.png (1920x1080, 3.54M)

>anime game company doesn't know how to make life-like faces

They got doused off camera

lmao it looks like a bunch of pre-made assets. Generic as fuck.

yes and thor electrocuted everyone and hulk smashed them into a fine mist

Cap's VA is good

>Thor knocks the mocks around
>Tony brutally disintegrates them and sets them on fire
Damn bro

>fucking HULK should be one-shotting these basic goons. he picks up a giant concrete slab and 360s them and they still stand up to fight? horseshit
I imagine this will be lampshaded with all the mooks being boosted with Marvel's favorite MacGuffin, ISO-8.

One the biggest video game publishers working with the biggest media company on the planet and this is the best they could do. Developers with a fraction of their budgets and resources are putting this game to shame

>knock off mcu designs fighting generic bad guys who are bad
looks like trash, so they at least got that aspect of the mcu right

I think we need to see a level outside of the tutorial to make any judgments. Tutorial levels are usually not indicative of a game. They need to show some late game and Warfont gameplay. From what I saw the game has potential as the combat looked very pretty even if it wasn't very engaging. But this could be a level design for the tutorial to ease players into it.

I will say I was not a fan of how Cap played. The person just kept spamming shield throws instead of peppering them in, which made it look really janky combat wise.

I bet you think sword and shield look great, fucking asshole

Better environments and much better character designs.

Attached: dims.jpg (960x540, 95K)

Who the fuck creates Avengers merchandise in the Marvel Universe?

Janet van Dyne, Wanda even complains about her selling clothes based on their costumes.

Disney

Square isn't making the game it's a western studio they own. They're just publishing it.

It looks slow. Like the characters move slow. Hulk I get, but how does Captain America and Black FUCKING Widow move faster then Iron Man and Thor?

Why do people still buy AAA games?

Notably on Thor: "Hey, make him look like Chris...but sound how we imagine the COMICS version would." Not "Hey, lets get somebody who can do a movie Thor impersonation."

I won't get this but I watched a bit of gameplay and it looked alright.

Just kind of a big budget version of those low budget Superhero games you used to get like the Iron Man film tie ins. The gameplay they showed was far too cinematic and on rails though, looks like they're using BamHam combat, though with a grab button but it's hard to tell

Attached: 1419543439533.gif (360x186, 360K)

please cancel comic game and make deus ex cartoon instead

>mudslime
I'd just like to point out that by using "mudslide" you use a real word and it's a better choice because most people won't immediately realize you're insulting the Religion of Peace.

Kamala looks like Jontron

>It's just a beta
When was the last time that actually worked an as excuse?

>soldiers all fall backwards with exactly the same animation at once

Thor gets no respect when it comes to his strength and power.
Motherfucker can move mountains and control the strongest forces in nature.

Thor being able to crack planets when throwing down with other heavy hitters as an incidental part of their fight doesn't make for interesting gameplay, unless you plan on making some kind of Asura's Wrath-type game where Thor's zooming through space and smashing villains through moons and shit at lightspeed.

Kat isn't a superhero. She's a smelly loser!

>solid redbox for me
just don't play it.

i'd like this to flop so they never try it again, but it's going to do over a million first week

What's wrong with people wanting things that other people may enjoy to fail? Did you lose your way to Yea Forums or Yea Forums?

>Pokémon reaction pic
Like pottery.

Yeah, I've been pretty critical of what they've shown so far, but people need to fuck off with this cynical bullshit.

Would anyone else have preferred more character focused games? Imagine a AAA game of The Hulk, Thor, or Iron Man with the same kind of devoted dev team like Insomniac did with Spider-Man. How would you make other Marvel hero games work. For Hulk I'd do Ultimate Destruction meets Resident Evil

Attached: Hulk.jpg (1420x1500, 620K)

>race

I don't think they've fallen back back on iso-8 since Contest of Champions

The idea of tying together all their games with that stuff fell through a long time ago.

Put in a mechanic were you have to choose which Hulk you have transform into. Devil Hulk can permanently put down enemies, do more intricate moves but is weaker, Savage Hulk is the strongest and causes more passive destruction that summons more military members but never puts down anyone permanently, some sort of Joe Fixit/Prof Green speech/persuasion mechanics. BuI'll up towards Guilt and World Breaker

>For Hulk I'd do Ultimate Destruction meets Resident Evil
>Resident Evil
I'm not sure how that'd work.

Anyway:

>Iron Man
>Vanquish with flight and maybe open-world

>Captain America/Black Widow/Bucky/Taskmaster
>Resident Evil 6-style shooting and melee mechanics

>Black Panther
>Ninja Gaiden-esque cuhrayzee game

>I'm not sure how that'd work.
Meaning 3rd person action game with several sandbox locations meeting insane body horror

do you mean compound V

I want to see a Ms. Marvel solo game so much.

>Set in an open-world Jersey City instead of the usual NYC
>Kamala's basic movement is based on her LEGO Marvel portrayals, but obviously more detailed
>Unlockable skills that can focus on different aspects of her powers for fighting, like going for long-distance grabs or overpowering with embiggened fists
>Occasional stealth areas where Kamala has to rely on her shapeshifting to elude and deceive enemies as she sneaks through or takes them out
>Lockjaw serves as the fast-travel, because why not?

bump

why is the voice acting so baaaaaaaad.

Poor direction and the sound effects are fucked, so they sound more awkward.

Nigga Edios made Tomb Raider and Dude Sex

Why does she look like Dora the Explorer?

>Boring movieshit tier character designs
>Dull dull dull graphical design in general
>Bad sound effects
>Awful VA work
>Overbearing soundtrack
>Hack and slash gameplay that looks incredibly bad compared to other big name hack and slash games
>On rails Tony sections
>Climbing sections that are obviously placed removing any tension or challenge
>QTEs everywhere and not in a cool way like a Platinum game
Whew. There is no fixing this one.
Hack and slash games and superhero stories are both genres that thrive on being a little crazy to work yet this game seems too set on being bland and MCU movie like to work.

All I want is a Doctor Strange action RPG with various magic skill trees to make my own Sorcerer Supreme.

WHY IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR?!

Don't worry Kamala, You only have to do this once and then you get powers.

crystal dynamics isn't a good studio

Gravity Rush kinda has garbage combat though.
2 did it slightly better, especially air combat but It felt like it needed something to tie it together.

>yakuza but it's set in Attilan and you play as Karnak
I loved Fist of the North Star: lost paradise and I think that type of game would work for Karnak very well.
This would also be cool asf
I like this idea as well.
>Lockjaw serves as the fast-travel, because why not?
The reason he is there is because he likes sending time with Kamala.

Shit if they just sliced in the combat from KH2 it at least be fun

Terrible, generic action gameplay.
are the soldiers enhanced or in special armor? hulk and thor are 100% murdering people, which is okay I guess but usually normal humans just get some love taps and the like from your strongest avengers where people like Black Widow have a more legitimate cause to outright kill a low ranking, unenhanced enemy.
In a Lego or Ultimate Alliance game the action is very video gamey so I think you can get away with a Hulk or Thor punching a mook full force, but the more realistic tone and aesthetic of this game makes it really stand out to me.

If you're gonna have a USA flag theme, and use both white and red stripes, those stripes really, really need to be the same thickness or at least very close. No stripes: fine, have whatever unequal use of white and red you want (like the arms and gloves on the original). Varying white and red stripes do not invoke the United States flag and look terrible if that's the theme you're going for. I don't know where it's worse, the belly of the suit or on the shield. The thin red suit stripes are bizarre, especially with them on the blue. Messing with the shield stripes like that though, it actually puts an annoyed/disgusted expression on my face when I see it.

It all comes off like making design choices to not be the MCU, while clearly aping the MCU for the most part. There's also this autistic element that is overly mathematical about the design, like "Oh if we make the white star this % bigger, we need to make the white stripe % smaller." That's not necessarily how good design works.

I've got issues with several of the MUA3 costumes, but those are mostly a detail or two that don't really ruin the overall designs. Some of the design choices in this game are just ugly miscalculations.
