Before anybody else posts about it, I'm going to call the rumors of a "Proud Family" reboot coming to Disney+ as extremely exaggerated if not entirely false. The only Twitter account that bears any semblance to an official voice has been posting what appears to be nothing more than fanart since May 2018.
Before anybody else posts about it...

i never watched this show
is it good?
Not at all
A voice actor from the show revealed it's coming back.
yes
Oscar's VA literally said they're doing new episodes. Do your research.
Wait. The grandma is still going to be alive?
Penny got STACKED!
How come in most fictional black families, the wife is usually a lighter black or mixed.
That's not something I noticed, but it looks like something you want to talk about as if it is common.
Colorism towards dark-skinned women. The only one that when against the grain was Fresh Prince, but then she was recast as a light-skinned woman.
Speaking of, I'm sure 'Black Twitter' will have something to say during the revival about this.
Because the best black girls look like dark white girls.
It is a show about a bunch of middle class assholes living their middle class lives and the daughter, who gets in "wacky" situations having jerkass friends.
But no one dares to call it out on being dumb and boring because all the main characters are niggas.
Its has black characters so here comes all the racial autism.
Because Hollywood hates black women
From what I've seen, "Black Twitter" seems rather oberjoyed at the show's return.
Nothing can kill Sugar Momma, she survived the Hindenburg, the Titanic, and the extinction of the dinosaurs.
Kind of hoping Oscar isn't the butt of every joke now.
Pretty much this. It's probably one of the first cartoons to use diversity as a shield from criticism.
How old would the 2 children be assuming they aged chronologically starting from the shows cancellation.

Because they are more attractive, even most black men find that. I mean, my mom is pretty light skinned to the point we have doubt if she's even fully black and my dad is black as fuck.
Never seen a single episode. I only stumbled on this clip once.

Apparently the images on that account are stolen fan art. No one knows what the real reboot looks like
That's just how it is.
Lots of white slave masters raped their female slaves, hence why some black people end up being light skinned or even having red hair.
Hell, my mom is light as fuck and my brother is even lighter and has red hair, despite us only being ~12% white.
>doubt
Shes not. Very few Americans are.
Sex appeal. Dark skin is ugly
>slave masters
And the irish
>Oscar looks JUST
>Trudy somehow looks younger
She really was a succubus after all.
it's only as good as how much you could relate to it
It’s fun but without a certain background a lot of it will go over your head. Like if you’ve never seen a Magic Johnson Theater, you’re not gonna get why the Wizard Kelly jokes are so funny.
It gets better toward the end of the first season as the writers realize that Disney isn’t going to let them address the real circumstances of middle class blackness, and start doing crazy shit like giving Penny super powers and making her friends dance battle sentient peanuts.
Because unlike pre-woke white cartoons black animators actually acknowledged that people come in different shades even within races.
>Proud's
I wish I could say that abysmal grammar suggests it's fake, but I've seen authorized merch with the same mistake.
depends on if you're black
But what if I legit find any sitcom about middle class families and wacky situations high tier comfy regardless of race?
Like the show isn't the wire but I just find it nice for what it tries to be.
Why does the dad have an earring now?
Grammar be racist
>timeskip
>It's a "Sugah Mama's dementia starts acting up again" episode
Midlife crisis?
I'm not American. I'm African. Central African
>Central African
My condolences.
But what's weirder is that my maternal grandma is pretty black. And I don't know how my maternal grandfather looks like. So, it's pretty much guessing if she's actually 100% African. My mom says so, but I'm still skeptic.
To advertise his availability on the down low.
Hope it’s rebooted and half the main characters family is changed to white
Berbers are technically 100% African.
Oh then that's weird
I know Berbers are Africans, but I'm not Berber. There's quite a distance between the Berbers and the Bakongo.
>entire show is about shitting on a hardworking father.
Never liked this show.
This show was awful. Everyone acted like a shit. Who is behind these black people shows with awful people portrayed as the good guy, because I see the artsyle often.
Wasn't the mom harder working? I remember she quietly carried a full time job w far less bitching than Oscar.
Just offering an example of a non-black African.
