>pic related tweet happened earlier this year >2 of the other directors (Dave Wasson and Clay Morrow) are working on the upcoming cuphead cartoon (as showrunner and one of the directors respectively)
Now this *could* merely indicate a large change up in the crew, but who knows
wait OP here, I'm dumb, Tara herself was talking about doing work on the mickey shorts a mere two months ago, long after Chris' tweet and when Dave and Clay would've left instagram.com/p/Bys4zfcArBw/

So season 6 is a thing?

Considering they're building a ride based on them? I doubt it's ending any time soon.

Fuck, you almost gave me a heart attack. The Mickey Mouse shorts are fucking phenomenal, and it’d kill me to see them end, unless it was out of respect for Russi Taylor’s sudden passing. And, yes; you are dumb, OP.
I wonder if Alonso left the Mickey Crew once and for all to work on the SU TV movie, or if the latter was just a brief stint before returning to Disney.
>Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway >Goofy is clearly operating said railway
Why they gotta play the Goof like that?
Leo Wilson
Where is Donald in all this? (My favorite from the Disney Toon Gang)
Luis Price
What a ride the Mickey shorts have been. I remember downloading Croissant de Triomphe a few months before its official premiere. The first few shorts were cute but they were definitely playing it safe compared to the crazy shit they eventually became.

Opens in Spring 2020 at WDW, 2022 or so in Land.

Fuck that looks awesome Also love how the stylization extends to the passengers in this piece

Joe Johnston was also an executive producer on Steven Universe: The Movie, but he’s been on Amphibia for quite some time now. It’s possible that Alonso’s no longer at Cartoon Network, either. Maybe there’s still a chance that he’s back on the Mickey shorts!
But while any Disney Junior or theme park voice-over should be easy enough, whoever replaces Russi Taylor in the Rudish shorts (were they to make more) would have some pretty big shoes to fill. Just how many different languages have Taylor and Diamantopoulos seamlessly voiced their characters in?
Music is the backbone of slapstick cartoons, especially the ones with perfect comedic timing like classic Tom and Jerry, Gumball, OK K.O.!, or pic related.
I’m grateful for what Chris Willis has brought to the table over the years.
I'm honestly still surprised that Jhonen Vasquez wrote the entire film himself. Sure, storyboarders, directors, and ad-libbing actors might've added some jokes here and there, but that's still pretty damn impressive.
It’s not too shocking when you remember that Jhonen comes from a background in indie comics. That also requires making long-form stories on your own, so you could say it prepared him for Enter the Florpus.
