She-Ra asks Us to pray for He-Man

She-Ra has asked that we all pray for her brother so that he doesn't receive the Netflix She-Ra treatment.

You've said your prayers right user?

we're still pretending we care about He-Man, eh?

Damn it I can’t hate somebody like that.

are there people who care about the original he-man show? why? they were shitty and low-budget

>they were shitty and low-budget
Like your mom's pussy after a single beer

Who ever gave a shit about She-Ra or He-Man before the Netflix series? It’s like caring about GoBots

>so that he doesn't receive the Netflix She-Ra treatment.

Why would She-Ra try to sabotage her brother? I'm calling shenanigans. She would ask that he gets treated as well as she was.

Based wine mom
Fuck nu-Ra

>who cares about these millon dollar 80s franchises

I dunno

That's not thec ase, since they are now different franchises and licences. She-Ra is done by Dreamworks, while He-Man will be created by Mattel. She-Ra is a reboot, while He-Man is a sequel of the original series. Completelydifferent stuff.

I can tell 100% from your post that your face is more shitty and low-budget than any single episode of he-man

The only reason I'd prey for it is because I do not want /pol/ coming here again

Lol you're not really proving the point you think you are

Britt's imdb is depressing. It's like she went from steady work to She-Ra to occasionally being cast as "the grandmother".

Small surprise that she ended up being on the frontlines of "the new She-Ra dishonors the original, they need to bring the original back (and rehire me)"

I want a Heavy Metal style movie about She-Ra's rockin' tits

>Bound into comics
I'm calling fake news

autistic people

I’d like Netflix She-Ra better if they had more respect for the original.
The nu crew constantly goes on about how their version is so much deeper and more inclusive than that cheesy 80s toy commercial, and it’s not, not really. If anything, with episodes like the princess prom it takes the plot even less seriously than the original. The characters have all been aged down, and they are way more incompetent than in the classic show.
It’s just as cheesy, just in a different way.

In a vacuum it’s a decent show, but I wouldn’t call it a significant improvement.

Based

>he doesnt care about GoBots
the absolute state of Yea Forums

They're never going to leave. It's too easy to troll here.
They linger 10 more days for every (you), and they can get 3-4 for a solid troll post. Do the maths.

Why don't you go over to her facebook then where she's telling everyone to pray to their god and stating that Dreamworks has a PR team attacking fans who criticized the She-Ra reboot?

>million-dollar

They were. Once.

But He-Man's become literally a joke.

It's like going "why don't people care about Yogi Bear?" Because the novelty wore off, fucker.

He was one of the big 80s cartoon franchises, yes, but he was also one of the ones that had the most difficulty gaining traction after the initial burst of interest. Probably because - and I cannot emphasize this enough - he has the worst name of any cartoon hero.

Oh. Well that's different. I just don't trust that publication.

People with money, and that's all that ever mattered.

i can assure you a yogi bear reboot wouldnt make anyone give a shit no matter how shit it is. This is clearly no the case of she-ra/he-man.

lol fuck Dyke-ra. I hope Noelle Stevenson sees this and gets beaten up by a woman and saved by a man. fuck Noelle Stevenson.

I'll pray that it doesn't turn AS faggy as the nu-She-Ra. But the OG He-Man was already pretty homoerotically charged to begin with...

If She-ra was just as gay, but more macho would it be more liked?

Attached: Skeletor!.gif (500x373, 1.35M)

>But He-Man's become literally a joke.
Aquaman was a joke for years, but he’s cool now thanks to being played by Jason Momoa.
And it’s hard to fathom this now, but Iron Man was a C-lister until the MCU came around. The right piece of media can completely change a characters reputation.

People obsessed with small franchises that were long dead (before rebooting) are some of the weirdest fuckers.

Like I understand having a fondness, but a convention? Is that the only place they have friends?

She-Ra lost the babes and replaced them with dykes. It was Barbie with swords.

Son, you're not going to get kids buying He-Man toys again. It's not going to happen. You can appeal to a few autists that still give a shit about He-Man, but even then it's an uphill battle because the character has been consistently mocked as being "gay looking" for decades at this point. We know it stopped being a powerful license from toy sales. The 2002 series wasn't exactly a flop, but it sure as fuck wasn't a juggernaut like the original, and that was WITH nostalgiafags trying to push it into popularity.

Most of the assholes pretending like they gave a shit about the She-Ra were just /pol/tards looking for another front to fight on the culture wars.

He-Man's a gay joke, and will never again enjoy the kind of success he did in the 80s. Accept it.

First off fuck you, i cared about she ra because it spat all over the characters, and second youre retarded since motu origins toyline is coming out this fall and is going to do gangbusters.

>Son, you're not going to get kids buying He-Man toys again
Yes they're busy buying those Ghostbusters 2016 action figures

Attached: lady ghostbusters.png (1278x1148, 1.53M)

Aquaman had been made fun of, but (1) there was far less of a "gay joke" stigma on him, (2) he'd been kept somewhat viable by regular publication (on a scale far exceeding He-Man's "we'll do a mini every once in a while" situation), and (2) his name's just better.

He-Man's just got the silliest name possible. You may as well name him Manly Male. It's just too much.

Reminder that this women will never be hired for anything

Hi samefag

You're an idiot if you think internet memes mean shit. By your logic no one cares about Dragonball or Yu-Gi-Oh because of how popular DBZA and YGOTAS are and they're "joke franchises" now because of YouTube.

Idiots can think He-Man is a gay fag all they want, doesn't change the fact he was shipped with Teela and various other women in the series and comics.

Why do they have to do this shit with the He-man/She-ra franchise, though?

Fuck, I like the anime-looking character designs of nu-ra! I've even heard there's a plot that isn't utter fucking dogshit, so why do they have to use He-man/She-ra to make their fucking yuri action anime? These people generally don't seem to particularly like the original fanbases of the old franchises they "adapt," so why not just make your own fucking setting from scratch and then you don't have to go to war with everybody who thinks the original thing was something meaningful! Plus, if your new show succeeds, you become a fucking legend!

People don’t know who the fuck Teela or those other women are. All they know is He-Man and Skeletor. That’s it.

>Son, you're not going to get kids buying He-Man toys again

They literally just announced new He-Man figures at Power Con

>he was shipped with Teela and various other women in the series and comics.

Attached: 31-19-Keep-Dreaming.png (1335x1021, 1.13M)

Kids will buy about as many He-Man toys as they'll buy 2016 Ghostbusters toys.

>it spat all over the characters
Ah yes, beloved characters like Bow, the dude virtually never once mentioned on Yea Forums until the reboot.

>motu origins toyline is coming out this fall

Yes? I did say there's still a few autists out there that give a shit about He-Man toys. They're a drop in the bucket compared to how well He-Man did in his heyday. He-Man made over a billion dollars for Mattel in the first two years the franchise was out. But the reboot was firmly in "well, it wasn't a complete flop" territory. You can't go back to how successful it was. Transformers, for whatever reason, manages to capture kids' imagination again and again. TMNT is a bit hit or miss, but does well enough to keep warranting new tries. He-Man is something to take out every once in a while in the hopes of squeezing a few more bucks out of (very) grown men nostalgic for the 80s series.

And I'm sure they'll be popular.

With adults.

Just make He-man gay and make it not a big deal. Keep everyone else straight or whatever and no one else will care.

Why is Noelle Stevenson playing damage control on Yea Forums?

It's gone a bit past just internet memes at this point.

youtube.com/watch?v=-PgTjhx1VLw

Season 2 and definitely Season 3 are definitely better then any episode of the old series. Entrapta and Hordak's relationship alone is a better done then anything else in this setting.

Don't you fucking diss GoBots, mother fucker, or I'll call down the wrath of Zod and you will KNEEL before him.

Attached: TargetEarth_zod_awakens.jpg (712x539, 164K)

No fuck you. That's just you wanting to see them fuck that's not development. That's not better. That's just pandering to your tastes.

Now, this is a nice change of pace. A voice actress that doesn't lead the conversation with "DEAL WITH IT MAN BABIES" and is expressing hope that something is good.
If only it would last.

Attached: She-Ra.jpg (1600x929, 504K)

>Noelle is doing badly, right?

She did a webcomic that got picked up for publishing by Harper Collins before she graduated and before she finished it.

That was enough to get her a job working on Wander Over Yonder.

She threw together another comic. It won two Eisners.

Dreamworks then asked for her to pitch a She-Ra reboot. Her pitch was picked up, and they gave her full funding to do a 52-episode show, which is halfway done now and will be completed no matter how salty you get, because it already got the funding for the entire series.

She's doing okay.

Because mattel has ignored the franchise for so long, this new toy line will blow your retarded expectations out of the water, proving that dyke she ra was a failure once and for all when he chad returns and BTFOs of it after all.

Attached: brit.jpg (661x496, 55K)

>one fat guy and one other loser from here tweeting this fake post to zero reactions is all that exists

Damn the Internet is catching on. You have to do better to fake a twitter post now. Yea Forums can't even do troll campaigns anymore.

She's gotten less than 20 new gigs in the 30+ years since She-Ra, and it's mostly been "additional voices" and "background character x" shit.

This is pretty much a perfect example of a dried up actor that appears at conventions and wants to bring back The Show so they can return to the only fame they ever had.

Attached: js.jpg (1024x576, 104K)

Show is garbage, shes ruined any chance of her getting into animation after her disastrous dyke show
>unf muh dyke cat hot

Yes, I'm sure the writer that got published in her 20s, won multiple Eisners, and has work under her belt for both Disney and Dreamworks will struggle to find work again.

>it's fake
>is on her facebook right now

Try being more gay

user we both know /pol/tards don't do any research and just reeeeee

After how she botched she ra id imagine it would be, i wouldnt hire her.

Yeah no. The Masters of the Universe minis from DC had amazing art and I enjoyed the stories as a mix of Frazetta and John Carter. Your opinion is worth as much as the poz load that drips out of your ass after your wife’s buck nigger finishes with it because let’s be honest, you don’t know shit of which you speak.

It's telling that when there were no more episodes to write on Wander, they kept her on doing odd jobs and backgrounds even though she's said she wasn't good at backgrounds. It certainly sounds like they liked her, and once you're part of the In Crowd you're set for life. Unless you pull a Skyler Page.

I'm sure CN will hire her given the direction of there shows anymore.

The imagination on this kid

Sorry I meant the twitter spin that this is some criticism of the nu-Ra reboot. The Facebook page has like half a dozen posts celebrating the nu-Ra reboot with positive fan art and really fucking liberal shit about how autism isn't a disability and praising that gay women's soccer team player who hates Trump. It's some nicey "be nice to OG fans" thing maybe but about as typical Hollywood liberal and pro-Noelle nu-Ra reboot as it gets on the actual FB. There's some retard trying to spin it as the opposite on twitter and no one anywhere but here gives a fuck.

Nah, shes just was some lackey back then, now that shes shown her true misandrist colors no one will touch her.

I wondered how she feels now that her novel belongs to the mouse now

It is nice to see an autistic character depicted in a good light.

>It did amazing, didn't it

Looking at the sales charts now, and... no. No it did not.

Wow, even with the Injustice tie-in it couldn't stay in the top 100 for more than a month, then plummeted way down after the first issue, selling worse than "Farmhand"? Oof.

>Fuck off back to R3ddit you stupid niggerfaggot poltard.

Shine on, you crazy diamond.

>Dreamworks has a PR team attacking fans who criticized the She-Ra reboot?
That's... disgusting.
Why would someone do that? I say this as being on Yea Forums.

I never said it sold well I said the COVERS were AMAZING which they were, but come on now, you can’t very well appeal to emotion if you actually take what I said into consideration. And I’m guessing you are looking at the Injustice/MotU books which are not those.

I don't care anymore desu. Nu She-Ra has grown on me. If He-Man follows the same path (less PSA, more episodic and better character development) it'll be fine.
My only complaint is that the style is too 90s anime

Wow you ran out of actual targets to shovel your rage bait to so now your attacking the actress?
You're so fucking pathetic its laughable.

How can h get netflix treatment when dreamworks/netflix don't have rights to him?

Itll never see the light of day and that's wonderful

Literally just looking at her with pity, user. Can't be fun to be "the star of the spinoff of something popular" and then fall into so much obscurity that your biggest role in decades in background work on Fallout 76.

You find what you look for

Because two different production companies (Mattel and Dreamworks) have the respective rights of He-Man and She-Ra. Netflix just makes the episode orders and provides the funding. Netflix doesn't actually own the rights.

She wrote for one of the early episodes of Tangled the series, and only one, for some reason.

Wait until they make a reboot series that combines the two and gives us the hero...

SHE-MAN!

Congrats on making literally the most common he-man joke of all time.

>are there people who care about the original he-man show?
Yes, its extremely iconic and beloved. I can tell your a dumb zoomer

Isn't the the creator of She-Ra? She hated the NEtflix cartoon right?

Hahahahaha... no. Just a sad sad va.

Imagine if this was her design.

Attached: DC_-_Amazon.png (788x876, 1010K)

Did they actually shrink her head for this pic or was I ignoring this all along?

Its just the perspective

I think they did, her sprite seems to have a bigger head.

Anything with big buff animated men I care about

It's being made by Kevin Smith, the most cucked person on planet Earth.

I like Entrapdak but what you're saying is bullshit. Maybe it does better with characters but the plots are ass and I get bored with the episodes that focus on the good guys.

So, she doesn't know about the "It's up to Teela to..."

This isn't what that is, although the He-Man "Anime" triggered the NuRa fans who were under the false impression Noelle was going to bring him to her show or they thing this is just done to appease the older fans who hated NuRa.

If anything once the Horde Prime thing resolves itself NuRa will end and the Horde and She-Ra will pop up in the He-Man show.

>If anything once the Horde Prime thing resolves itself NuRa will end and the Horde and She-Ra will pop up in the He-Man show.

No, they won't, because again, Mattel doesn't own the rights to She-Ra characters and the He-Man series will be a mini-series.

>This isn't what that is, although the He-Man "Anime" triggered the NuRa fans who were under the false impression Noelle was going to bring him to her show or they thing this is just done to appease the older fans who hated NuRa.

[citation needed]

Anyway, She-Ra will end when it hits episode 52, unless they're given money for a sequel special or something. Like... Netflix literally funded the entire run up front. All the people going "will it get renewed? Canceled?" are pants-on-head retarded. The show got its entire run funded at the start, it would have needed to offend literally every person in America for Netflix to pull the plug.

It was high-budget where it counted

He-Man was the butt of jokes for years and no one gave two shits about She-Ra until the Netflix reboot happened. None of you care about either and only know of it due to porn and not the show it's self. I for one welcome our cat-girl Catra with her abandonment issues and inferiority complex towards her foster sister/crush.

...Again, not seeing anything to support you. That's a person saying they would've preferred Noelle Stevenson handling the project to Kevin Smith doing it.

Claiming that people are under the impression this was just done to "appease the haters" is really specific. I'm sure if you sift long enough you can find one or two, but I'd be amazed if you could find more than five. It's just a really ridiculously specific belief.

...

Dis crusty-ass bitch gotta have ‘Voice of She-Ra’ in her FB fan page title becuase she’s so irrelevant lmao

You're talking to someone who sees liking a cartoon as a competition, with winners and losers based on whatever tenuous emotional slight they can blow out of proportion to claim victory over internet strangers. There is no outcome here that ends in you being satisfied.

You're right but I didn't ask you for your opinion.

The obvious samefagging, lmao.

Okay? Wow... two whole people. What a groundswell.

I mean, I'll happily wait, maybe you can find some more. Maybe even five!

Netflix has more that 100 million customers. Shows have viewerships in the thousands. There's about 3000 people that put their votes onto Rotten Tomatoes alone for the first season, and even that's just a drop in the bucket.

No user, your collection of tweets and tumblr comments really doesn't indicate a significant percentage of a fandom. Now if you found something like a trending hashtag, or a retarded petition or something, THAT would actually be worth noting.

You're as bad as the journalists that pointed to a few posters here and there and complained that they added up to a He-Manbaby whiner coalition with a grudge against She-Ra.

>Is that the only place they have friends?
Yes

That little girl next to Stinkor looks really uncomfortable.

Was it autism?

Small conventions are WAY better, user.

Huge convention: you can see an announcement shortly before everyone else sees it.

Small convention: You've got a way better chance of actually meeting with cast/crew and talking to them, asking them questions, and you're more likely to find niche merchandise.

If you're actually interested in a property, the small cons are excellent. The big cons have gotten too big and have let in a ridiculous amount of stuff that only tangentially has something to do with stuff the cons are meant to be about. Comic con has fucking pro-wrestling booths. Insanity.

>"Give me proof"
>gives them proof
>"No U"
How long did it take you to write that? Haha

Most of the dialogue was cheesy as fuck, but it’s entertaining to watch. Specially his transformation sequence.

Fuck catra she's irredeemable. Not to mention she became an edgelord in season 2b

Attached: Band_PracticeClips_Mae_PlayLoop1_00003.png (185x185, 23K)

This, I don't understand her appeal.

Too late.

I apologize for thinking you were smart enough to understand that when dealing with fandoms of thousands of people, two people makes for a laughably bad sample size to back up your claim that there's some significant backlash.

People don't give a fuck. It's He-Man. It's very hard to get people to care about He-Man. Just ask every poor sap still trying to sell MOTU toys.

A couple of people =/= anything of worth or merit.

He-Man has sorta always been in the zeitgeist of nerds but it always seemed people liked Thundercats, GI Joe and Transformers much more and He-Man was always sorta a joke

People caring about She-Ra though? That's all autism. I don't know why people are so mad that they made a show for girls appeal to girls

Again how long does it take tou to write this shit? Not even bothering to read it.
There's more but I am too lazy to screencap since the goalpost will be moved.

Based

Please, screencap them.

Take the time to look up the tweets in a fandom of thousands of people, and screencap them, then come back and post those screencaps, then complain that other people are spending too much time on the topic.

It amuses me.

>I could totally prove you so wrong it hurts but I'm so lazy, I'll just declare victory instead

Because most cartoons these days are made for everyone (ie. Bland) or for only girls. If you want something for yourself, cartoons made in the west is not where you can find it.

yeah but this is She-Ra we're talking about

I like how there are little aggressive npc Goons going to every thread and dumping an edgy load.

Every one loves He-man and Skelator's antics stop being a unlikable dip shit and enjoy something for once.

I mean... it seems like a bit of a stretch to claim that Rick and Morty, Venture Bros., or Archer are "made for everyone". It would be nice if there was some "not for everyone" stuff that WASN'T "adult comedy," but it's a bit unfair to claim that the entire industry has gotten bland.

Where do you think you are?

Nah since I wasn't done and you sperged but if you're curious the motu tag on tumblr and twitter have them. OK I'm out of this shit thread.

HEAR HEAR!

youtube.com/watch?v=FyyTzkktjsI

anime is made for pedos and it turns people into trannies

Who the fuck cares about victory? It's not t a contest, seek help.

Wasn't even talking about anime.

>Pointing out that two people isn't very many is sperging out

Enjoy your victory, user! Don't spend it all in one place.

>Animation that's not from Japan and not made in the West.

Ah, a fellow connoisseur of Glorious North Korea's great animated series, Squirrel and Hedgehog.

It's like we didn't have threads about Eternity War, the Injustice and He-man crossover, the Mini-comics storytimes with the Minicomics autist, a thread about some anons getting hyped for Masters of the Multiverse, and a bunch of shit threads about the memes with Ivan and shit.

It was all in good fun, I don't know why this is causing so much drama.

By the "west" , I generally mean not the US. To be fair, I walked into that one.

It was autism.

I seriously just want to enjoy the news that we're getting another action-cartoon with a decent crew of writers, without people showing up trying to start shit with their "I bet this rustles the jimmies of She-Ra fans" nonsense. Just... enjoy the thing on its own, Jesus fucking Christ.

Maybe one day we'll see the day where He-Man and She-Ra fans live in peace and enjoy the MOTU franchise together. I'm getting absolutely sick of this shit flinging as well.

Attached: 1565593452655.jpg (400x303, 38K)

To be fair just look at how this thread started which was a clear sign of what this shit was going to be about from the start.

The He-Man.org fags manage to get along even with the new She-Ra show. You definitely won't find that shit here on Yea Forums though not for She-Ra and He-Man and certainly not for anything else you're going to discuss at this website.

Yeah. I'm actually surprised that the He-Man forums are actually bearable. I think this place is just special since whatever you do here is consequence free.

I'm just worried this will be He-Man made for people who haven't even thought of the franchise in 30 years and have foggy memories of it being some gritty action packed sword and sci fi adventure and not a goofy saturday morning funfest where the first word you use to describe any bad guy on the show is "bumbling".

I HOPE it will be as the new show but more masquline. Then they can connect both series for perfect mix.

I've got bad news for you, mate. It's been described by Smith as a sequel to "He-Man as you remember it, not He-Man as it actually was."

Probably skewing more gritty than goofy.

Curious, how so is Skeletor bumbling?
He gets fooled and bamboozled, but I don't think he has fucked up by his own admission (not counting the time Santa possessed him)

Fuck off and die!

Boomers.

But the President told me the Russians are our friends!

Supposedly hasbro is making a new line next year

Think they'll have the balls to make Cobra Chinese in the modern version?

It did.
We're now stuck with something way more complicated, with Russia no longer hobbled by trying to at least make a token effort of being Communist, and there's far more grey areas with both Russia and the US trying to be allies of the same folks.

The easy days of blindly trusting and glorifying the US military in kids cartoons are very over. Instead the military finds ways to fit their shit into movies. Fancy a helicopter in your latest blockbuster? USA! USA! USA!

They weren’t Russian in the original, why would they be Chinese?

>with Russia no longer hobbled by trying to at least make a token effort of being Communist
Putin has been amping up Soviet nostalgia for years, not to mention creating a parallel economic order with China to oppose the US.

>They weren’t Russian in the original

Nostalgia, not even a token effort at the real thing. Just blind Nationalism and praise for a totalitarian way of running things because, hey, makes you feel strong.

So it's nothing. There's no backlash, really at all.

This randypoo speaks da trutru. Hell been going to anime expo since 04 and it's gotten so huge. Before it was always anime with some bullshit YouTuber stuff but still anime related. Now it's gotten to popular that vidya have started to seep in. Normally I don't mind cause it was always anime vidya related but recently they've been pushing non anime vidya like teppen and gears. That's how comic Con slowly became bastardized so I'm worried as all fuck. Small cons are where it's at to get that sweet community

Watch the cartoon. It's... not like the movies.

And even the movies are watered down from the criticism of the book.

Book: We destroyed these men in Nam and they can never be normal again, they're almost better off dead.
Rambo I: We destroyed these men in Nam, but they're, like, heroes, man.
Rambo II: Really we need men like John Rambo to save us from the commies!
Rambo the Cartoon: USA! USA! USA!

Yeesh.

Only in the cartoon, he was American in the Hama stuff.

Hama never left, is he bad now or somehting?

Why are you triggered this much by the She-Ra VA?

Because these people just want shit to bitch about or better known as "not muh". What they don't get is that their franchise doesn't warrant the cost it would take to redo the classic art styles.

As for the actors, 80% of them had the cartoons be the highlight of their career.

>triggered

Dude, what? user claimed she's an industry insider. I provided her imdb because... ouch. Lady maybe gets small gig a year, and most years doesn't get that much. And she's fucking 76, she probably doesn't WANT to do more than the occasional gig.

I still love He-Man for the same reasons I loved Inspector Gadget. The potential for an awesome story is all right there. I love pulp scifi and fantasy.

Attached: 1494438059788.jpg (984x1300, 1010K)

Yeah, but the theoretical He-Man in your head isn't the original show.

A strict "we're picking up where the original show left off" continuation is a bit of an odd choice considering the way most people tend to wince when they look at the clips of what the show actually was.

Not him but last I heard, "Snake Eyes" was a woman with the real Snake Eyes' memories in her head or something.

I'm personally not a huge fan of his continuity because a bunch of characters were still very much dead.

You're a gentleman and a scholar, and I thank you.

I still have a soft spot for that old cheese. I remember Twitch was playing back to back episodes of He-Man a few months ago and I just left it playing all day in the background and would watch a few episodes every now and then and it was still pretty cheese but it was comfy.

I doubt it will be that campy though, it's not like they can't tighten up the story and animation.

>so why do they have to use He-man/She-ra to make their fucking yuri action anime?

Netflix has a partnership with Dreamworks to make new cartoons on a regular basis for Netflix, and Netflix wants people to actually watch them.
The easiest way to do that is to go with known properties, and Dreamworks owns a lot of IPs.

>But why change the classic thing
For the vaaaaaaaaaaaaast majority of human history, there was no ownership of stories. When Shakespeare came across "Romeus and Juliet" he went "hmmm, there's something interesting there, I bet I could put my own spin on it."

And that's how it fucking should be. If anything, it's a damn shame that corporate ownership limits us to "new takes" that happened to get the approval of the corporate overlords. It's been decades now, there's more than enough room for people to look at this old stories and go "okay, let's see what fun can be had putting a new spin on this."

Because he's being hyperbolic. Dreamworks didn't have a jackboot division attacking fans, fans were attacking fans as usual. This gal is simply an old lady who doesn't understand the internet.

I grew up watching He-Man 2002, and old reruns of BraveStarr. When Netflix annouced a She-Ra remake I was interested until I saw the art, but I still wanted to give it a chance and I watched 5 episodes before I dropped it.

Then they comeout and annouce "Anime" style Masters Of The Universe sequel by the people who animated Castlevania. I'm on the fence about it and waiting for more imformation to release before I make my decision if it's worth my time.

Attached: The Virgin Reboot Vs. The Chad Reboot.jpg (2518x1024, 544K)

I'm one of those people that grew up with a lot of old cartoons from the 80's and i'm usually first to rail on shit but just this once I want it to be good. My biggest concern is that the synopsis doesn't mention Adam at all and seems to be about Teela.

Can we just have this one fucking this? I really liked the 2002 Reboot myself, the toyline was great too.

This is kinda how I felt about She-Ra. Such a weird time in animation where all the artstyles look like soft babyshit.

Attached: 1334828018946.png (158x160, 2K)

When a character's motivations are explored, expanded, and questioned, that is the definition of development. Your position is entirely untenable.

About Teela!? sigh, got dang it...

Attached: She-ra 2002 concept.jpg (590x623, 62K)

With Kevin Smith it'll likely be free of identity politics at the very least.

>it'll likely be free of identity politics at the very least

Sorry to burst your bubble buddy, but Smith is the type of man that backpeddles HARD of his statements and opinions.

>All those hashtags
I'm calling fake on this one my bros...

I know right? What is this weird obsession with remaking old girl shows for modern girls and remaking old boy shows for modern girls as well. Can guys have anything anymore?

Agreed, I'm trying to get into the field of animation and it saddens me that there's no effort put into most artstyles nowadays. It all boils down to "what's easiest to draw".

>Chad
>canceled without an ending
>literally only lasted 39 eps compared to She-Ra's 52
>took a billion-dollar franchise and "Revived" it with a goal of selling toys, but did it in such a lackluster way that the toyline petered out after only 2 years

Well, at least it taught everyone the MOTU fandom a valuable lesson: it's better to get 52 episodes promised in writing, and plan to end the story with episode 52. Don't leave fans hanging.

And maybe it's better to try and boost Netflix views than try to sell toys to kids in the Fortnite age.

Sadly that's not possible these days. Are you aware of the Saint Seiya/ Knights Of The Zodiaz situation? Show was about a group of 5 boys each dawning armor of one of the 88 constellations. There were strong female characters and they turned the effiminate guy into a girl. Imagine if they did that to Sailor Moon that shit wouldn't fly. They always need to insert some "Token" female into the cast these days.

>all the ones on the left are surface level /pol/ reee
at least watch something before you start complaining about it

Still better than the 2018 turd that is Netflix She-Ra. Also, Mattel is a toy companty what else did you expect to with the property that made them bank in the 80's?

Boys don't watch cartoons. Only manchildren do.

thundercats roar is going to be for little boys

I love when people say the He-Man reboot was loved by fans of the original. The original was a pop culture phenomenon watched by virtually every kid for the 5 or so years it was on the air, with nearly over a hundred eps. If the reboot had really been beloved by fans of the original, it wouldn't have been canceled. It was beloved by SOME fans of the original.

Not enough.

Not nearly enough.

Hopefully the Netflix series does better.

Did watch it and in my opinion

She-Ra 2018 is boring and the animation style is horrid.

Now kindly fuck off back to your hole goblin

Oh, I'm not saying that they shouldn't have tried.
I'm saying they didn't pull it off and the show was, by the standards they were using, a failure. He-Man was a multi-billion dollar franchise in its heyday. Of course Mattel was going to try and catch lightning a second time. But they failed.
If you want to knock the current She-Ra, compare it to the original series, which made shitloads of money, not to the version that Mattel is about to pave over.

>Hopefully the Netflix series does better

It's going to be Teela focused most likely and suck and just like She-Ra 2018 Dreamworks and Netfilx will bend over backwards to protect it.

I'll knock the current She-ra how ever I see fit Thank You Very Much

It deserves it regardless if I and others compare it to the original or not. It keeps getting undeserved seasons and the new toys don't sell well.

I was hoping for a serious reboot of She-Ra like the comic, where Catra could go all were-leopard and swat dudes to death...not this magical princess shit with psuedofurries, dykes, and girlymen. I PRAY He-Man will either get a gritty reboot, or just be left alone.

user...

It's go be
GAY

>I PRAY He-Man will either get a gritty reboot, or just be left alone.
pray for better taste

Blah blah blah blah

Its amazing how freak the Nu-Ra fans over this thing. Thinking it will overshadow their little show and "invalidate the female character". Why are they so insecure and paranoid? They talk as if this "anime" is going to delete their show of the face of the world or something.

New She-Ra is it's own thing, new continuity, new story, new everything. Netflix's He-Man claims to be a continuation of the old.So it HAS to honor the old, because all of that is supposed to have happened for this series. Different standards, because they're trying to accomplish different things.

Can't we just be happy to have both? What if they even collaborated on some crossover episodes?

Attached: WhyNotBoth.png (260x260, 88K)

No. Let the NuRa fans be content with Adora. They dont need Adam in their show. It's all for the better.

>Thinking it will overshadow their little show
I mean... it will, that much they got right. Even if it (most likely) sucks.

Soiboi's don't count.

It is its own thing right? So the series can create a brand new brother for Adora. Practically Adam but all but name. Hell he can be like a half brother and be half black for diversity points.

How? I dont get this line of thinking. It's made those awards and shit. It has a fan base and it clicks with a certain audience that i doubt will be Interested in this "anime". What's the problem?

That's stupid

It's their show and they dont have to adhere to the old lore. I mean I doubt New She-Ra fans even watch the old show and even if they did they dont remember old Adam's personality. He's going to be change any which way regardless, practically blank slate, so why not just make someone new? In all honesty the fans just want a brother for a Adora to play off.

>I mean I doubt New She-Ra fans even watch the old show
I do, it's fun. New She-Ra actually helped me get into the old cartoon.

Haven't heard of those awards, but I'm gonna just assume they're for diversity of something else irrelevant.

For one, it's divisive at best for the original She-Ra audience, and even the original was just a spin-off of Masters of the Universe. He-Man's always been the real deal. Add the fact it's supposed to be a sequel, and not a reboot, and more people will be willing to at least give it a chance... like I said, even if it sucks. It will probably get some bitchin' toys, too.

He-Man was a great thing even now is a iconic character, fuck you zoomer, zoomies going zoomie

Do you really want Adam in the show then? A new brother would be fine right?

Why does Yea Forums hate the She-Ra cartoon so much?
Not liking it would be one thing, but the disdain appears to go deeper than that.

Literally the only reason people know him is because of The 4 Non Blondes.

>He-Man needs to be dark and gritty!
>No! He-Man needs to be campy fluff

What He-Man needs to is like pic related.
This was the kind of series in which EVERYTHING worked. They could pull off darker moments like the stuff with Joe Chill, or sad moments like Platelet or B'Wana Beast, and they managed to use every kind of place setting imaginable.

MOTU over it's history has been a complete hodgepodge of EVERYTHING.
Plus...I just want a Skeletor musical number.

Don't know about He-Man or She-Ra. But since you posted The Brave and the Bold I just want to say that it might just be my favourite cartoon ever.
It's such a damn shame it wasn't allowed to run for longer. It was amazing.

because of who now

Will it be impossible for them to be connected? I guess most people here wouldn't even want that, but that just erases some of the potential charm.

No. They are two completely seperate series . Better for everyone.

If the new He-Man wants a She-Ra, they can just make their own.
Leave SPOP as it's own AU

It's a band, they play a song that everyone associated with He-Man, look it up. You might not find it in a library like you're used to so you might have to use "Google".

Attached: stah100929.jpg (420x315, 34K)

>they can just make their own
Would they be allowed to? Because that'd be neat.

>I have even a smaller wireless device
Did they mean to write
>I have an even smaller wireless device
?

I don't see why not.
Isn't Mattel the ones behind making this new He-Man show? And at the end of the day, Mattel owns He-Man and She-Ra, regardless of the fact that they allowed Dreamworks to make their own She-Ra show, so really, if they wanted, they can do whatever they like

I thought kids these days associated He-man with that "HEYYYEEEYYYEEYYYYEAH" song because of the YTP. IS it that one?

Just like the Marvel movies, but nostalgia is a hell of a drug.

If that's the case, i hope that they will bring Despara on the MOTU show.

>fuck dad

All 52 episodes of the New She-Ra have already been planned for and produced. It'd have to be a special if they wanted a crossover.

This show is already fucked six ways from Sunday.

Gotcha. Funny video, but I always preferred Boheman Rhapsody.
youtube.com/watch?v=aeFH-QoAPCk

It can't be a crossover, because they are completely different shows, with different plots, animation etc. She-Ra as the original character though, can make an appearance in the MOTU series, since this is new show is a sequel to the original.

People who watched the 2000s reboot, for one. I personally grew up watching that iteration and hope they don't fuck the new one like they did SheRa.

They could just settle for references without ever fully crossing over.

They are produced by different studios. At any case who knows? Mattel is currently doing a comic crossover between the various versions of He-Man (Mini Comic, Filmation. 1987 Movie, NA, 200X, current DC). I guess everything is possible.

Yes.

He-Man was the original toy cartoon and it was huge. It's how it persists in collective consciousness.

>It's how it persists in collective consciousness.
Well, that and being a universal punchline for gay jokes.

My sides at the sheer fucking irony. Why do retards like this have zero self awareness?

Hmm...
Okay, so it seems that (probably linked to another edgy Simpsons fan-couch gag) most of the Simpsons family was killed by a home invader, except Maggie. Marge was presumed dead, but Ned managed to find and save her life. Marge is broken by the experience, but spurred on by the knowledge that Maggie is still alive, begins to work out in an attempt to recover her confidence and go on a bloody rampage of revenge.
Maggie had apparently been acquired by Bumblebee Man and was in the process of being sold to Mr. Burns when Marge arrives, armed with a weapon and begins to viciously slaughter everyone. Ned is a few paces behind her, carrying a gun of some kind and when Marge gets cornered by Lenny and Carl, he blasts them away. Marge dispatches the assembled villains and traitors, then goes to Maggie, who gives her the time travel toaster from Treehouse of Horror V. Marge uses the toaster and goes back in time to before the violent incident that destroyed her family.
And apparently it worked via Terminator rules, now, because Marge is stripped of her clothing and wig, exposing her to be a giant rabbit, which was a Groening inside joke during the shorts.

Ironic...

Look at all the millennial babbys in this thread angry that a cartoon is being made that doesn't cater exclusively to their childish tastes.

>its primary audience supports it out of spite and its use as a pawn in their retarded culture wars

As a nostalgia-loving 40-year old, I'm the primary audience and I don't give a crap about your culture war.

I'm looking forward to it. MOTU 2002 was great, if this is like that I'll be happy.

Hell I don't even mind the new She-Ra that much, the characters are solid. If it had a bit more action that'd be nice, but it's nowhere near as bad as some autists make it out to be.

they support with their tweets and temper tantrums, not their wallets

most shows are to sell something. You think they're making all these cartoons for charity?

Much like every other show...

That's true, but literally every cartoon that comes out today is made for people under 30. Suddenly one dares to cater to 35+ year olds and the babbys lose their shit.

>Reminder that if you like literally any thing ever made, you are essentially liking a thing that only exists to sell merchandise

what an idiotic comment. fucking idiot

Yeah, never cared much for charity shows or artsy-fartsy crap.

The modern day impression of He-man is a medieval fantasy Shazam where a plucky boy transforms into a half naked bara model fighting one of the most iconic "saturday morning" cartoon villains ever. Directed by, let me look this up, Kevin Smith. I don't care if that one interview claims he'll 100% pander to the incels and give no handouts to the liberals (moderates).

The only wholly positive news for the nostalgiafags is that this is being animated by Powerhouse Animation Studios, the same studio behind Castlevania, though not necessarily by the same animation team. There's so much confidence behind the animation that Netflix is referring to it as an "anime", possibly to prepare for the nostalgiafag backlash that other "anime-like" shows received such as Thundercats 2011 and Teen Titans 2003,

Personally I'm hoping for fun action and generally "serious" character designs, but the writing should have a fair amount of tongue-in-cheek moments and self-awareness. Every He-man thread I've been to on here and other social media sites have had idiots assuming the show is going to shit all over the current she-ra series, which is a ridiculous notion considering they're both currently produced by netflix. One is for little girls and teens, and the other one seems to be marketed to mentally ill 40 year old men who apparently never got bullied out of he-man.

Attached: giphy_2.gif (500x336, 415K)

Kevin Smith is a liberal dude. He's not making this for incels, he's making it for the people who grew up with the original show. Stop making everything political.

>The only wholly positive news for the nostalgiafags is that this is being animated by Powerhouse Animation Studios, the same studio behind Castlevania
>Castlevania
Was that supposed to be positive?

If enjoying cartoons past a certain age supposedly makes one mentally ill, why are you on this board?

As a 36 year old I couldn't give a shit. I can only imagine people with absolutely nothing going on in their life can still find the energy to put this much dedication into being upset about any piece of media, past or present

and yet here you are posting on Yea Forums Noelle.

>36 year old

tb h, even you're probably too young to have He-Man nostalgia. You're more from the Batman/X-Men/Power Rangers generation.

Depends on where he's from.
I'm 35, but here in Canada, He-Man reruns must have been going until at least 89 or 90, because I remember watching it a lot when I was younger. I missed out on a lot of the earlier toys, mind you, most of my He-Man collection was from the 3rd, 4th and 5th waves of action figures. I never even had the proper He-Man and Skeletor...I had Flying Fists He-Man and Battle Armor Skeletor

Not them, but not really. He-Man was kind of a big deal among kids for a few more years. The movie came out in what, '89?

You know what, I actually remember He-Man reruns playing on the USA Network as late as 1990 here in the US, so you're totally right about that.

'87, but point taken.

Transformers say hi. TMNT say hi. We got Thundercats a few years back as well. We even got more boys-oriented cartoons about toys that should've gotten one decades ago.

Attached: HS_BANNERS_STRETCH_full.jpg (600x982, 406K)

You forgot the "cartoons I don't like" part.

E.Y.E comics when?

those awards mean jackshit for years now. they are prizes for who sucks cock the best now.

Netflix she-ra is based though

It was a hundred times more gay than nu-ra, and yes I know it has a midriff baring guy with hearts in his gear who has two dads

I hope they get a show runner who has never watched a single episode but played with the toys as a child and wants to inject their own D&D characters into the series.

The Room effect, He Man is a weird dude, they live in a bizarre world and Skeletor is funny.
Thundercats is some dreadful boring shit tho.

>botched
user, are you ok?

>they
>they
We are all /pol/. 4channel IS /pol/. that's how the media sees it, that's how /pol/ sees it. That's how it is. You whiners are only pretending to be any different.

ITT:
>"Thing was always shit and you're a /pol/cel if you don't shut up and consume!"

I remember when blogs and news site all around the web tried selling Disney's Star Wars using the same narrative.

>He-Man animation is kino
Fuck yeah!

I like this salty tea!

But user, that would require them to take the energy they normally use bitching about She-Ra and Calarts, and actually spend it on supporting the things they like. That's just plain nonsense.

Man when did /pol/ replace Yea Forums as Yea Forums's face?

'87. Same year the vintage toy line imploded.

The elections

Reminder to Nu-Ra fans that romance plots are not a replacement for stories.

Some time around 2014.

What the hell is P Gay?

Attached: tumblr_o8v79wqoO01vx1ghpo1_500.jpg (471x550, 95K)

Pretty gay?

Well there aren't any.

so she is the creator of the new she-ra?

Well Snake Eyes died and got replaced by another white dude, then the female Latina Snake Eyes with his memories happened. So they were two Snake Eyes, but then I heard the real Snake Eyes was back but I haven't keep in touch that much.

I wonder if the Stinkor have real stink

Why the fuck are right-wingers so bent out of shape over new She-Ra? I'm a lefty and I loved Twenty-Four.

>Small convention: You've got a way better chance of actually meeting with cast/crew and talking to them
But I don't want to meet them, I'd spill spaghetti everywhere. I just want to go to a panel and hear other people talk to them

heman got a live action movie that works as a closure of the series.

>Comic con has fucking pro-wrestling booths.
I don't think you realize how big the crossover is between comic fans and wrestling fans

I remember how the toyline got drowned by a bunch of Skeletors and He-Man toys that went unsold because everyone had them. There weren't enough of the other characters and some were impossible to find. They fucked up the toyline.
>And maybe it's better to try and boost Netflix views than try to sell toys to kids in the Fortnite age.
Mattel IS primarily a toy company user, the Netflix She-Ra cartoon was made to sell toys in mind and right now they're just introducing them to the stores.

That would honestly be a good way to circumvent having She-Ra, you have Despara for a season and then once Netflix show wraps up you make her discover that she's Adora and then have She-Ra.

Maybe people shouldn't go on twitter as professionals.

Those issues with Skeletor and She-Ra were pretty dope.

Fuck, you do have autism.

I'm a left-winger and I think the new she-ra is a piece of fucking shit. Stop bringing politics into this. It's a terrible show.

Maybe

>the same studio behind Castlevania
of course, this is 2019.
aaand dropped.

I'm in my 20's and have She-Ra nostalgia. It's called reruns and one of the reasons a bunch of kids also have nostalgia for another show that was made in the 70's.

>people complain about beautiful brown boy Bow and his delicious daddies
Such pathetic fools.

"im horny" is not an argument retard.

Neither is “I’m homophobic” tho.

28 here i used to watch this gem as a kid:
youtube.com/watch?v=K7CxVXRzRtM

Good thing I don't shit myself over gays and lesbians, then, unlike you.

rent free, never in my post said that.
seething retard.

Literally name anything wrong with Castlevania’s animation.

>accuses the other guy of being seething
>jumps right to name calling
Yeesh

not him but that absolutelly embarrasing scene of the priest getting eaten by demons always gets on my nerves.

>"Yeesh"
>cant even follow a basic conversation i already called that poster a retard twice in a row
>"n-no u mad"
retard.

What does that have to do with the animation?

> i already called that poster a retard twice in a row
“I was seething the whole time” is not a good comeback.

Have you fucking looked at the new toys?
I am firmly on the He-man and She-ra have always sucked side of the show debate but as a /toy/fag I have enjoyed every He-man line before this one to some degree but these look worse than the 80's toys and absolutely pathetic compare to 200x or classics.

youtube.com/watch?v=BC1kke-WgLo
do you honestly think this is well animated?
not to mention cringe as shit?

Ah...come on pal. Give war a chance.

Attached: hqdefault.jpg (480x360, 22K)

nice projectiion retard.
Your entire argument crumbles, calling names doesnt equal to being mad, but i can tell your passive aggresion implies you are salty as shit.

FUCK YOU I LOVE HE-MAN.

A reboot is not a good reboot if it isn't made out of love for the original, nuShe-Ra might as well be something else at this point, i feel like there is peotencial of doing straight reboots of these franchises, something like future quest for example, there is space for "joke reboots" like Coast to coast sure, but these non genuine reboots just feel like someone couldn't get their original pitch off the ground and was forced to make a cash grab instead, if you're not trying to fully bring out the view you had of these properties as a kid then you should just make your own thing.

And? I own a lot of gunpla.

Attached: 1538777137417.jpg (600x600, 31K)

What's your opinion on Carmen Sandiego (2019)?

>The nu crew constantly goes on about how their version is so much deeper and more inclusive than that cheesy 80s toy commercial
A lot of the crewmembers are open about their love for the old She-Ra. Yes they might view it as being a bit silly...but it is silly.

Those cheesy elements in the new show are probably inspired in part by the original. Imagine if they'd tried for GRIMDARK She-Ra instead.

Every 80's kids franchis needs a version like this.

I know Batman isn't that but those toy-driven 80's shows are so close in tone to the silver-age comics.

Me too. He-Man is agreat character.

Attached: RCO017.jpg (1041x1600, 505K)

>That comic
Aye. Great character.
Adam becoming temporally Shazam was awesome.

is there a reason we should care about this blogs thoughts?

I hope they consult the guys who did the recent He-Man crossovers.

The same team from Mattel that did the crossovers, is working alongside with the director of the new animated series.

>He-Man meets Injustice
>Worried he'll get corrupted by the shittiness
>Instead he's so pure and heroic that he actually saves everyone and fixes the whole setting
Unexpectedly wholesome.

>Kevin Smith
DUDE FISTO LMAO
>anime
look like we learned nothing from 20x MOTU and Thundercats
>Castlevania
oh goody, who is going to get Grant'd in this version?

fucking hell, why can't they just reboot him to be part of the already available SPOP continuity? heaven forfend that He-Man have complex characters, relatable villains and work in the current year without living on toy sales. even the 20X version couldn't commit to originality, instead it lifted everything from the Filmation show but made it """serious""". this only admits that He-Man is incapable of relevancy and will be stuck in the 80's forever.

Attached: 1563413395921.png (1280x975, 338K)

What is he-man about ?

every kid's favorite gay musclemen

>a show is good if it panders to niche groups
I want off this nightmare.

Sorry but Nu-Ra's style would be completely shit for MOTU. Masters of the Universe is about post apocalyptic muscled barbarians. Nu-Ra is a show for little girls. Its style work for it, not for MOTU.

I trust the fatman of comics.

Because god forbid we actually have variety in 2019

The He-Man reboot was hobbled from the start because it was intended as a commercial. They didn't get an ending because the hope was to keep going as long as possible to sell more toys. From a storytelling perspective that's shit. She-ra rebooted into something just trying to tell a story, with any toy sales treated as gravy.

She-ra reboot > He-Man reboot, just in terms of being a real story.

then why did King tiny head flop?

Attached: 1547909667784.png (712x472, 454K)

That is the appeal. She's terrible and it's greatI still think moustache dad should've been a ginger

>dark-skinned ginger with freckles
Fffffuuuuuuuck YES

gingers are recessive

Attached: 1537374567196.png (700x356, 208K)

The alicard vs Trevor fight scene always looked to me like they were playing a low frame rate clip back in slow motion to pad out the scene time

Agreed. Let's hope Netflix treats he-man the similarly in terms of story.

Nothing from Nu-Ra is going to surpass thia 2002's MOTU episode. And this Hordak will always be the most scary ever.

youtube.com/watch?v=z2huZs1NqKA

Because of poor toy sales, not because of the quality of the show.

Thank God that Mattel is doing the new He-Man, and not Dreamworks.

What does that have to do with two gay men?

And his story will never have a conclusion.

...and frankly, the show was pretty mediocre. Even Battletech was better.

If it's anything like She-ra, the villains will be by far the best part of the show, with the heroes a mixed bag I'll barely tolerate to get to the next villains scenes.

>the villains will be by far the best part of the show
Isn't that what everyone says about MOTU?

The 2002 MOTU show was great, in my opinion. Not only because it did a lot of world building, but also brought various elements of the Masters of the Universe mythos together. Keldor's story, the Snake Men, the Horde, Zodak and the cosmic aspect of MOTU...

He-man was extraordinarily homoerotic. You boomers never got bullied for playing with naked dolls made by the Chinese?

Attached: He-Man wasn't go-.jpg (353x767, 72K)

No. Because almost all the toys from the early 80's were just like that. Thundarr, Blackstar, Thundercats, Conan etc.

Depends on how much of the show turned to shit due to animation constraints or decisions, really. The over-the-top violence was completely uncalled for.

One animator mentioned he was tired of keeping track of Trevor's scabbard, so he made him throw away at some point when he went sword fighting... the point is, the character ALWAYS USES A WHIP INSTEAD in the games. He could use an axe or even throw around a big cross, which would be a treat to the fans, and so on. But no, sword.

And who knows why so much fucking time was wasted on that damn library or on vampires squabbling in that stupid castle instead of the characters actually journeying to kick Dracula's ass.

the problem is She-Ra is at it's best when it's the Adora, Catra, Shadow Weaver show. They might be setting up something interesting with Glimmer and Scorpia and Entrapta got a bit of growth in season 3 but everyone else is still bad, flat or just uninteresting.
Season 3's greatest strength were less improving their weaknesses and more just side stepping them

I wish i had grown up with He-Man. It seems like it would be insanely comfy if I had the nostalgic feels for it.

no season 4 if we are lucky,
youtube.com/watch?v=6rlJN9FdOiY

I'd argue that was a problem. The show didn't last long. They spent so much time trying to introduce tons of lore and characters that things didn't get fleshed out or resolved well.

Like with Voltron, the entire series was green lit at the start. Netflix wants something with an ending.

Yeah, half-naked muscle men were the fantasy hero aesthetic. Barbarians, not knights.

Didn't the creator confirm that there'd be 52 episodes or something?

Thats what happens with this place being infested with people who only care about shitposting and none of the shows they shitpost about.

It helps, yeah. When you're in a good mood, get some comfy foods and start making nostalgia watching it, then.

One of the main showrunners

The 80's, the Golden Age of the Barbarians.

youtube.com/watch?v=Q39f4YzK6sU

>ClownFish TV
Yes. DreamWorks ordered 52 Episodes. For all we know, they're already done.

Attached: 1446060304558.gif (480x360, 1.21M)

I thought a certain amount of seasons were pre-agreed on, and Netflix fucked them by splitting the last one into two seasons, but they still get more.

I mean, they have been supporting a collector marketed toyline for more than a decade. And now there's going to be two (Mattel doing retro ones, Super 7 doing more serious ones.)
They definitely exist. And if there aren't many of them, the ones that do are enthusiastic enough to pay to cover the difference.

>trusting Mattel

They’re going bankrupt for a reason.

Mattel's VP Rob David did the new MOTU comics and crossovers for DC and he did a great job. He is a long time MOTU fan and he is working with Kevin currently for the new animated series.

Shows have to sell something, whether it's ad space or home releases, so why should I be upset that it's created to promote it's own memorabilia? Just means that if I like the show, I don't have to worry about the show getting memorabilia after the fact.

Attached: s-l640.jpg (640x640, 62K)

I'd be very disappointed that bow here isnt gay.

Him and Glimmer are incredibly obnoxious in the new show. Even the non-sympathetic villains are more endearing.

What are her thoughts on the reboot?
Is she full "not muh"?

Harley, how many times did we warned you about using the watchtower's Computers to shitpost in another universe?

This. Fucking hell, I feel more for Shadow Weaver's child abusing ass than Glimmer.

Well, she is a non-autistic adult with functioning eyes. She probably took one look at the awful art direction and animation and said "Wow, even Filmation was better than this trash".

I don’t know, that RPing looks fairly autistic. A normal adult wouldn’t care one way or the other.

user...
1.It's on netflix
2.It's about fucking teelah
3.Adam and Heman are missing
4.Kevin, da cuck, Smith is heading it

It will be a fucking bomb.

>It's on netflix

But every good cartoon made in the past 8 years has been a Netflix exclusive

Name 3.

I can only name 2. Voltron and Castlevania. Literally the only good cartoons made in the past 8 years.

>Not Carmen Sandiego
>Not F is for Family
>Not Legend Quest
Hell. Not even Love, Death, and Robots?

Okay, I must admit, I get a few chuckles out of F is for Family. Even though the animation is balls.

>outrage nigger outraging
Go back to Facebook you fucking faggot

That's why I hope that with Glimmer losing her mom and Bow seeing that loss first hand will change them into more mature people, who are in a war. This is why I like the Horde group more, they're more dynamic and interesting points of view.

One group is worried about prom, while the other is worried about failure and the consequences of that. The BFS-minus Adora are people who had safe lives, especially compared to everyone else. Bow from a family of scholars who are usually hidden in the Whispering Woods and Glimmer, fucking high royalty where her mother is the only "Queen" on a planet ruled by monarchies, and every other ruler has to be called princess, even though they rule their kingdom most of the time.

>pretending
What are you? Some kind of care bear loving faggot?

Voltron is absolute fucking shit and is only thought of as good because the fags from avatar are doing it and the gay stuff.
Castlevania is good but is really generic as shit.

Better than any incarnation of He-Man though.

80s He-Man was an improvement over other advertisement toons. Reboot He-Man was generic action for its period, about as good as 2003 TMNT or Transformers Prime, but it didn't last as long so it didn't even resolve half the stories.

The current She-ra reboot leaves a lot to be desired. It's still the best writing the MOTU stuff has gotten. Not high praise, mind you.

Apparently in the recent PowerCon panel they talked a bit about how Glimmer and Catra are opposites, saying that Glimmer has a dark side that she hides under a kind exterior. There's also been a lot of foreshadowing for Glimmer to go a bit evil, what with her teaming up with Shadow Weaver and with all of her shots at the end of S3 framing her as being eclipsed in shadow.

Despara top tier character.

Attached: 296191.jpg (410x498, 314K)

Based af

Drag Queen She-Ra and Gay Male Stripper He-Man can go to hell.

What about Random Capitalization user?

Those aren't random.

This is partly true, American 36 year olds would know about He-Man almost strictly from older siblings/cousins and its connection to She-Ra, but they would be too old for Power Rangers nostalgia. They are in the sweet spot for Transformers, Ghostbusters, and X-Men/Batman.

>What is syndication?
Aha ha ha ha look at these poorfags
I was born in 86 and had no idea He-Man came before the 90s until later because my parents could afford cable you miserable faggots

>Castlevania
>good
for fucking crying out loud user fuck's sake, watch season 2

wtf, is this some kind of elaborate joke?

>I feel more empathy for a murderous serial chlid abuser than a lonely immature teenager trying to be a good person

That's fucked up

it's not about syndication, it's about better shit being available almost immediately after He-Man came out. Today's 39 year-olds watched He-Man because that's all the poor morons had.

so Nu-Ra fans have no excuse

>Implying there are good cartoons out now

Well, there are decades' worth of good cartoons available.
Right now there's... uh... Super Hero Girls I guess?

Attached: HE-MAN!.png (480x352, 222K)

>Do you like movies about gladiators?

I liked fisto his design cool and big fist. heman is cool lol. hope reboot is just as cool as the motu

Remember to alternate your hands when jerking off.

To be honest, I don't mind if they continue not really using dedicated He-Man elements. They've already rewritten the origin of She-Ra to not really include them.

>76 year old voice actress on facebook asks people to join her in a prayer, having been convinced by autistic fans that there's a conspiracy against a show she worked on like 30 years ago

Sad.
