Bendis actually just wants to be known for creating progressive OCDonutsteels, he could really give no shits about already established minority characters unless he gets to entirely rewrite their history to become something totally different.

Bendis can't get royalties for characters someone else created, so he creates yet another black character.

The way i was told, King decided not to work with Marvel anymore because of what they did to his Visions comic. He didn't want them to keep using his characters over and over again, so he made it somewhat non-canon, while explicitly telling people he didn't want them to use his characters (or at least implied, when he said he didn't like when Marvel does it).

Then, they decided to keep using Vision's daughter, and changed her into a turbo-slut-homosexual-thing. I would be angry as well.

Then he should have written her do die at the end of the series like he did with the wife and son, him leaving the female teenager vision alive and just fine at the end of the series left it open for anyone to use that character. Sure it’s a bummer, but I’m 90% certain King knew what he was getting into when he turned in the scripts for Marvel. Had he killed Viv off he could just say that his character died, and this new version is just based off her rather than complain when someone else starts playing with the new toy in the box. I’m also sure DC offering King their top selling #1 Flangship title had nothing to do with him deciding to work for them. While I understand King’s complaint over Viv, I can’t really agree.

These writers haven't exactly helped her character development. Either way, i don't think he had only one reason to leave Marvel, but he was clear about how he feels about people using his characters in this particular case.
