They're both awful. Bill refuses to do anything to change his situation. Peggy doesnt think he needs to do anything.

Bills pretty hard to watch because of how much potential and talent he has and wastes by wallowing in his own pity and despairs from long ago. However Peggy is infinitely worse with her ignorance and defense of it and frequent busybody behavior. Shes alright as a character and redeemable because she tries hard especially for her family but watching her can be some of the most infuriating shit.

He'd be a terrible father. Not because he wouldn't try, but he'd try too hard. He'd put all his frustrated affection into the child, smother them, and discourage them from ever living their own life.

He'd be a mama bird that would keep his babies under his butt forever and never let them fly.

To be entirely fair, and within the context of "Twas the Nut Before Christmas," Bill would likely spoil the kid more than smother them. Maybe a mix of both, but it would take the kid turning into Cartman and/or getting into some serious trouble before Bill would wise up, but I'm not gonna give Bill too much credit.

By then it'd probably be too late and the ending would be the same as that episode; kid ends up in military school or the army itself.

He legitimately is a piece of shit and frankly even in flashbacks where they show him as a teenager, he still comes across as a mentally challenged retard. This guy was always dead weight for Hank and the others.

After seeing all the times Bill betrays Hank? By the time he tried to commit suicide? I would have looked the other way and let him kill himself. Hank gave a speech about how friendship is a two way street in one episode, but Bill among Hank's friends is the one who mostly is a good for nothing leech. Totally deserves to be allowed to commit suicide. On another note? Dale himself is a big treasonous bastard, just not on Bill's level. Only Boomhaur isn't such an overt traitor.
